I have tried this method in the last month and it works a treat, quicker, cleaner and less water used. I started window cleaning in 2001 and converted to wfp in 2006, its sometimes easy to just stick with the method you know or the method you have been taught. But honestly try this! It's a game changer
Have been using this method for the past couple of months, can’t believe how much water it’s saved me…whilst still getting 100% results and no issues! Thanks so much🤝
I’m with you on the high flow rate, I run mine at 2 litres a minute. Anything less and it struggles to give a good rinse off in my opinion. I also change my filters regularly and I wipe down all the frames and doors at ground level.
Find the stiff brush a good all-rounder, I started using it mainly because I use hot water. I have used it with cold. It is a good general purpose. Brush can be used on Lead as long as you don’t apply a lot of pressure which I never do. They tend to last longer to.
Interesting video. I'm relatively new to window cleaning only been going 3 years. I've seen people miss the top of the frame. I like to make sure everything is cleaned but I've never tried rinsing on the glass I'll have to give it a go.
Nice video.... me personally i would use a softer bristled brush ( gardiner Sill brush - Black ) gets in / around / underneath more effectively..... above all as a window cleaner i really think having the right personality is very important..... If customers like you you can get away with a lot less critisism and main thing is is that customer is happy....It is great that you have enthusiasm , are enjoying your job , the freedom ,,,,, all the best
Thanks. Yes I used to use one of those. But now I use the hot water. I need to use the stiff Bristles This allows me to get a brilliant clean and with a little brush and get the job done quicker.
Hi thanks. I just go off type of house no. of beds whether they've got. conservatory or extension third storey etc . What I don't do is go visit first as this is wasted time which I would then want to charge for and I'm too busy anyway. If it is a big house I always check on 3d maps and google earth (here you can usually measure the length of the gutters with the measure tool), I don't want to turn up and it be way off price.
I spray into vents as much as needed but always on the side of caution but never had an issue. I have used all kinds of jets and rinse bars but my preference is for 55 degree fan jets as they allow you to cover the glass quickly with water. I have my flow rate set at 60 which is about as far as you can take it without getting pressure build up. I don't rinse off the glass though, I did put a video out about it.
Hi chum am based hear i Northern Ireland belfast an was thinking of getting the purple strimline oval 8 pole 25 foot carbon fiber. My question is i only do gutter as i have other job but i want to do facle pvc gutters an border. I can plug in to the main tap yes i know i need that little purple adapter we thing i am just going to use normally half inch garden hose will this be ok an what jet's head do you think my friend.
Yes I have my hot water set to the highest flow possible and I GET good coverage and rinsing whilst I am scrubbing using the fan jest. However its important to make sure that the frames even the top ones are scrubbed properly and then any dirty water that comes from them is brushed away.
@pkcleaning-windowcleaningm4377 Since first watching this video I did start experimenting with rinsing on the glass and I have been getting perfect results while being faster but since spider season has started I have to sometimes rinse off the glass to get the bugs washed down as their clogged up in my bristles😀
An one more question sorry i know you think way dont do window i dont have a van for pure water i know you can get back pack but you need risin fitters. I will apply no nonsense i think to gutter i herd is good that i hear is how am go to use a worx cordless with long lance on 2 foot ladder to shoot up are apply brush head to rectangular bucket an use that way any advice would be great chum
@@pkcleaning-windowcleaningm4377 i chum thanks for your response i have missed a trick tho with all this experience equipment I don't have yet just asking i do think I will need to clean the customer windows after as it will get messy. I would need a 1 back pack 2 trolley 3 what would I use to clean the water. To make it pure . even if its 20liters man thank you I think my first buy because its the cheapest is to buy a Dfs meter.
I'm gonna pop in here to answer.... I personally ALWAYS rinse on the glass when it's hydrophobic. With hydrophobic glass, the battle is the water beading up too quickly, rather than staying in a sheet and allowing the dirt to flow away. This can be overcome with higher flow and/or fan jets, BUT it can also be overcome by simply getting closer. The bristles also help to vary the surface tension of the water enough to keep it in a sheet for longer. Simply rinse from the top down as if you were squeegeeing the water off. Of course, nylon bristles only! Boar hair hangs on to the dirt too much and will ruin everything.
Personally, I never worry about whether glass is hydrophobic or hydrophilic. Yes on hydrophilic glass water flows off in a nice distinct flow, but it makes no odds as long as you’re rinsing the glass.

Do you not find that you get spots on hydrophobic glass

give it a go just make sure you get rid of dirty drips on underside of frame
Great video well done what brush are you using cheers
I see your doing this on good glass.. now ive been trad for years now on the wfp .. them windows what constantly run how do you tackle them
Can you use pencil jets for this?
Great vid! When I try this technique, there are loose bits left on the glass, how do you deal with this?
Rinse lol
@@neilpalmer1662😂
do you just ise water or do you add solution to your tank?

Hi - Always nervous with vents?
& Which jets do you prefer? - thanks Deane Pulham

sorry ive never done it that way but can't see a problem
I saw you scrub the glass but didn't see any rinsing on or off the glass? Are you saying just scrub and go?
Yes I have my hot water set to the highest flow possible and I GET good coverage and rinsing whilst I am scrubbing using the fan jest. However its important to make sure that the frames even the top ones are scrubbed properly and then any dirty water that comes from them is brushed away.

I run 5 litres a minute, flood the glass
its a good idea if you can, most of us are limited by the narrow bore of our hoses and obviously you'd have to carry tons of water around
With fan jets u always rinse on the glass 100% of the time 😂
This will leave bits on the glass that need rinsing off lol
Am sorry but what rubbish of course you have to rinse off
