I was there. I really love the band but the sound mix was extremely muddy and often clipped. When the supporting act started to play I wondered why on earth they chose such a high school band. But when Symphony X came on stage after an extensive sound check they sounded the same. I have never been to a concert with such a bad sound mix. I went to their concert in Stuttgart more than a decade ago and the sound was phenomenal. One could really appreciate Michael Romeos solos. Anyone else had this impression?
I had the same experience! I guess the decission to take Edge of Paradise as opening act must be a management decission bcs the audience targeted for both bands are different and their performance/music left me completely untouched.
