Thanks so much Andrew! I hope you and Petra are enjoying this time of year - I’m certain it’s gorgeous there! Oh! A few days ago babies were being discussed and the name Petra if it’s a girl came up 😊. It made me smile.
Thanks Mike! My daughter just came back from a trip to your area - NYC! She had a wonderful time taking in the sights while there for a wedding - a quick trip but memorable 👍
Awesome that I came across your channel through IG feed. Thanks for the quick HOW to VIDEOS…Keep up the great work…BTW Kool Kombi is my all time fave casting when it came out…
Audibles happen. I’ve been stuck with decals that disappear on the casting too. It turned out great Jim. That front bumper is perfect! Finishes it off beautifully.
Thanks Skip! I’ve thrown way too many Shark engines in way too many Kombis, but still every time I go to do a Kombi, I want to throw another Shark engine in it lololol
Thanks Ken! Oh, I still need your mailing address so I can send you some stickers (I like to send several to new members). You can email me at silvajim@gmail.com
Omaha, Omaha! Overhaul, OMG! In terms of "Improvisation" for Actors, there's a rule ( more a school of thought) about saying "Yes!" to a situation or whatever another actor brings as opposed to "No!" which tends to end scenes. You said yes, and therefore so do we! Have fun with your toys!
I don't know if I'm the only one who doesn't know the brand of blasphemy, but I'll read up on it. I haven't seen this color in a very long time, but I IMMEDIATELY remembered that my father painted the stovepipes in our apartment at the time with a special, heat-resistant gold-bronze. Preface end. Now eulogy. Great work! I don't know what I like most about it, but the different bumper, the Sharkcruiser pipes and the paint are right up there.
Thanks so much Fritz! I really like the different bumper a lot myself! Blasphemi comes from a '55 Chevy drag car from a TV show called Roadkill - that appears to be what the Second Chance Redlines decals are based upon.
@@JimSilva-SilvaDiecastCustoms Thanks for this information. Google was only able to help me by explaining the term itself and that there is an accessories company for off-road motorcycles with this name. I didn't/don't know the TV show.
the collection slowly grows. :) actually I was sure you'd add the shark's while rear end to it, but that works, too. :) as for rattlecans, I have seen there are some brands offering translucent colours, while only orange and red are important to me since I have to upgrade an old vehicle where the sun burns away the taillight's translucent paint. :P illegal on german roads, but who's to know. better than driving with taillights bleached white. :P
🤣 I’ve used the Shark engine in so many ways now…and I do agree that my favorite was including the fin/tail on the back. Since I wanted to use the HHW parts, I didn’t go with the tail this time lol Tamiya offers several translucent colors. The ones I’ve used have always worked well…but I’ve never used them on a full sized car……yet 🤣
Yep, it is…and I subscribe to his TH-cam channel. It’s really too bad what happened to the MotorTrend channel…but so many “traditional” forms of entertainment are giving way to being “broadcast” through TH-cam and similar means.
Killer job Jim. I have those same decals . One day I plan on making the actual car. But this looks great! Where is a good place to get pen vise drill bits? I broke the last of my el cheapos
Thanks Pete! It would be cool to see you do that build! About pin vise drill bits, I hate to admit to this but I’ve had my small set for well over 30 years. I had to dig around to find it, but I did…along with several other things I still use like some of the Xacto blade handles and such. Not sure where I would get a reliable set today - I would probably go to Lowe’s, be shocked at the price, then get it off Amazon cheap and watch the bits break lol
Really freaking kool brother, i'm sure you didn't want to use those MnM water slides anyway. I'm working on a Kombi and I'm having a little technical difficulties with it. You know how it is. I get frustrated after doing the same thing four times and it still doesn't work. Yours looks awesome, brother.
I sure can…I did a short video about it #Short Tips #27 - Tamiya Handy Craft Saw II - Precise Plastic Cuts Easily #shorts #customdiecast th-cam.com/users/shortsyvjaNnDYEbw?feature=share
Jim, I like every single change you made on the Kombi. Gives it a real distinct look. Greetings from Switzerland. 🍁☕
Thanks so much Andrew! I hope you and Petra are enjoying this time of year - I’m certain it’s gorgeous there! Oh! A few days ago babies were being discussed and the name Petra if it’s a girl came up 😊. It made me smile.
So cool. The black top decal and tail pipes look factory. You make the build look effortlessly. Great custom👌
Thank you so much Fernando!

Blasphemi is a real drag car owned and raced by Mike Finnigan. From Road Kill on the Motortrend Channel. He has a TH-cam channel and races in there.

I may copy that one...
Have fun with it David!

Thanks David! It does take some strength sometimes to work through repeated problems…or I’ll solve them all with a hammer at other times 🤣🤣🤣
😎🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Brian!
Nice recovery!! (Audible Lol)
Thanks! I had to mention you in the video after you made the “audible” comment on my earlier post 🤣🤣🤣
❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥👍😎
Thanks Dane!

Hey Jim love the kool kombis that you have done!, Have you seen the new super twin mill for 2025? Will you make it join its "sisters"?
Thanks! I think at this point, I kind of must do the Twin Mill lol
