Hi Scott, THE BIGGEST TIP I CAN GIVE YOU IS KEEP FRESH FUEL IN THE TANK AND CARBY AND RUN IT REGULARLY. I had a customer who bought a pump to share with his neighbour because the neighbour had a swimming pool. Problem was he put the pump in the shed and didn't run it after he took it home. Fires looming around Menai Sydney, he decided to get the pump out and get it fire ready, no start. Fuel was off and varnished the carby, something you don't want in an emergency. Regards, Steve. PS: Luv ya workshop!
Hi Scott loved the build and the video. Greetings from the UK; which means I can supply you with as much water for your pump as you need💦🤣. Stay safe mate.
Not only are you really creative, but I love that there's nothing you can't take on when you've set your mind to it! Nicely done. Maybe take a few orders and make some for the neighbors so you all have the needed kit when the time comes.
We are all idiots, some of us come up with the occasional good idea. Merry Christmas to you and yours just keep doing what you do and we’ll still be here.
I wouldn’t miss a video! Always a pleasure to watch and the banter between you and Judy is brilliant! Thanks for providing us with knowledge and entertainment!!! 😁 You can get baffle balls for non baffled tanks if you find the water sloshing is a problem.
What a wonderful life you have made for yourselves. We keep coming back because we love your creativity, expertise & humour. Keep up the awesome content. All the best from Perth.
Scott, both you and Judy keep us entertained with your good Aussie humour, but mainly with your honest and practical approach to building your projects, and sharing your life change to the new property, keep it up mate, and keep the videos coming
Your videos are relaxing and a pleasure to watch. I appreciate your attention to the details and innovative ideas to get the job done correctly. Thank you!
Big warm hug from Orléans, France, 2:30 both you and your wife are very lovely, I like your videos and tranquility in them, I particularly like the exchange of smiles between you two.
Thank YOU, Scott, for making videos. You know I tried my hand at it a couple years back. It's not easy. In fact, it's a whole lot of work and takes real talent to film & edit in a manner that people will watch for more than a minute or two, let alone watch all the way through AND come back for the next one! My hat's off to you for all the work you put in for all of us.
Always a pleasure to see you work Scott, always a tip to pick up here and there 👍. Your trailer looks great! It's only missing a coat of bright red paint and flashing lights 🚒😁 Just hopin' you'll never have to actually use it 🤞. Best regards from France!
Great design, Scott, and well-thought out! Your understanding of metal work, the load it will take, ease of operation etc., are all spot-on, your logic impeccable. God forbid you have to use it but better safe than sorry. Always enjoy your videos. Great to see you and Mrs. Turner still smiling, a sign of happiness which as we all know, can be fleeting in this world. Cheers!
Hard work on the videos keeps us coming back! The trailer hubs, I always get grease on the threads, nuts, pin and cover the inside of the dust cap, then you don't find mystery rust when you open them back up. Maybe a storage spot for a set of wheel chocks?. Probably a ton of ideas could get implemented. I'm already looking forward to the update video! haha That galvanized metal is nice though. Great job!
Thank you! Yes plenty of grease on the exposed metal doesn't hurt. I do need to make a set of decent chocks as this guy has no brakes. I want a tool set on the trailer also in case the carby gets dirt in it or I need to replace the spare plug etc. I always appreciate the comments and feedback!
Always a pleasure to watch one of your vids Scott - and always inspires us to get out in our garage and do something a little bit out of our comfort-zone. Keep it up! 🙂
We come back because we enjoy what and how you do things. Also learn things as well. I hope Judy is OK 😊. That trailer is a beauty. I hope for your sake you never have to use it in a serious way fighting a bushfire. Fingers crossed you have an uneventful summer 😊
Thank you Allison! Having the trailer ready to go gives us peace of mind should we need it. Judy is fine; busy with her work but looking forward to the Chrissy break. Thanks again and all the best.
We should be the ones thanking you, I know the effort and time involved in filming and editing. Love this project, great to have portable water on a rural property. Keep up the good work !.
Agreed. Having both options (long suction line for creeks and the IBC) will save valuable time if things get hot. A T-Fitting with two ball valves should make it quite easy to switch over. Specialized valves with two positions and three connections will be pricy in that diameter. You can also try to add a dedicated primer tank above the pump with a valve connected to the priming port to ensure you can quickly gravity-prime it if necessary. When there was a fire on the firing range (very common with tracer rounds), the army had "fire swatters", worked quite well for grass fires. Might be worth to put 2 on the trailer for when water runs out or the engine quits. www.blick-aktuell.de/Bilder/In-der-Niederdreeser-Gemarkung-uebte-die-Feuerwehr-579027m.jpg
I have a similar saw. I like it because you can leave it to do it's thing and get on with something else. It is also reasonably quiet and doesn't throw filings all around the shop.
G'day Scott (and Judy!) - I took a scroll back through your back catalogue and discovered that I started watching your videos around 8 years back. I enjoy what you make and love your "can do" attitude. Glad to see things are going well for you both (ticks not withstanding!) - look forward to whatever the next project is.
Yeah still here. Love your videos and your down-to-Earth demeanour. Oh my, that little desk brought back memories too! "Hawkesbury City Council" Recycling tray - I've got one of those.
Excellent build, Scott. I think I need to do the same for my desert property in Arizona. Random lightening strike could create big problems when you're off grid. Another project added to my ever growing list of projects😉🙂
Really good video again Scott, love your humour and the banter between you both makes good viewing and fun. No need to thank people watching , it’s us that like you and your channel, please keep them coming.
Well thank you for continuing to share all of the cool stuff you make. I know sooner or later you'll get the itch and make a wildly interesting and extremely over-built piece of industrial furniture from scrap material.
You need a better solution to have to avoid the priming of the pump, as when the need is there, then there is panic, and you could be waiting valuable time with messing around to get the pump to work. The idea of the whole cart is absolutely brilliant, and will be a live saver. and thank you for the words of thanks at the opening, but its us that need to thank you for taking us on your journey, and let us into your life! THANK YOU
Thanks Chris. Yes I'll route a direct suction pipe from the tank to the pump and keep the long suction hose for taking water from the creek or a water tank. All the best!
Well done. 👍 I made up a fire fighting pump when I had the acreage, but luckily we had a couple of dams to pump from so all I did was make a small trailer to mount the pump on that I could tow with my ride-on mower, plus I had 2" poly run around the property that I could pull water from as well that was linked into both a bore and the dams, so no need to carry water. I used a lay flat as my fire hose. (PS: I hope you enjoyed my little Steam Engine build)
Thank you! A dam would be awesome but we can't have everything at once. I watched the latest episode. Looks very interesting and I'll follow along. All the best!
Looks good. On the discharge of the pump put a large diameter hose to the top of the tank (with a ball valve) for fast filling. Also you can put a pressure relief valve on the discharge with a hose back into the tank (20mm should be plenty) so if you close the nozzle it lets a bit of water flow through the pump and prevent boiling the pump. If other people are likely to use the unit, you can print up some cue-cards and laminate them. The T piece on the suction with one ball valve from the tank and another from the draw hose is a great idea, saves precious seconds. You can even use the last bit of water in the tank to prime the suction line.
Lot's of good tips, thank you! I will look to make that run around circuit and suction directly from the tank outlet. Will make set up easier and keep the unit's versatility if I need to pump from the creek. Thank you!
Greetings from the US. I like to cover the bearing areas with a rag or silicon spray when I weld near them to prevent spatter from sticking. Keep up the great videos.
Greetings from Bashkortostan - Russia. I watch every video with interest. Everything related to your life there on the other side of the globe is interesting.
Can’t wait for the calendar 😂 what a great set up you are a very clever man!! May you not have to use often, but peace of mind you have built the system and it’s ready of need be. Always enjoy your content Scott thank you! Hope Judy had no ill effects from the tick 😊
Install a small valve with a hose in the front of the ibc for priming. It will work when the tank is full. I think I would have mounted the hose reel less exposed. When there is a fire, you get stressed and can more easily run Into trees and stuff. How about a space for an extra petrol can? 👍😃 I agree that the suction hose is long. Better that than having a card directly on the tank. Super video! Thanks😃👍💪
Mr Mature May. bwahaha. Great to see a bearing being packed right. We learnt that on the farm. Keep the vids coming whenever you get the urge and are feeling inspired. Catch up soon, buddy.
Very nice work Scott... Glad to see you back to building stuff... The only thing missing is some fenders... Scott, you take care my friend and God Bless you and your family....
Scott I have a very similar saw to that in my small workshop, I made a few modifications to mine on a video. Improved the clamping handle, installed a coolant pump and a catch tray etc. they are fantastic for small spaces and it's like having an extra pair of hands in the workshop. Great video as always!
Great work as always, Scott! Hug right back to ya. We've just moved to an at-risk of bushfire area and I spent the day getting to know the fire fighting system. We have the same Honda motor as you, which has apparently not run for over 5 years. We gave it a dust, flushed the tank, cleaned the plug, replaced the oil and she fired up with a single pull. Good to be prepared, but hope to never need it. All the best.
Your videos are great no need to apologize for them . Good job on the trailer I hope you never need it . I’ve liked your bandsaw from the first time I ever saw it . thanks for the metal pick up tool . I wish you both well Thanks for sharing this with us.
Hey Scott! Greetings from Argentina! Is good to see you are doing alright. I’ve been watching your videos for years now, and I keep coming back to watch and give you a thumbs up, because you are a great guy. And your projects are awesome. Now... for your problem with ticks, I recommend going to a veterinarian shop and buying a product that’s used to spray on animals and on kennels to keep fleas ticks and other critters away. It’s a liquid that you mix with water and you can spray it around the house, and is also safe for humans and animals. And to get ticks off of you without the risk of getting the little legs stuck in your skin, use cooking oil and bathe that sucker in oil, it will let go on its own. Keep making videos and I’ll keep watching them, cheers mate!
I would watch a video of you watching paint dry, I was only thinking what new project you were working on. Always great to see an update from you, looking forward to seeing your next video. 🙌🤜🤛
One of, possibly, the best video in this branch I ever seen! Most instructive, and not a dull moment. And funny too!😁 I’m connecting as from today. Greatings from up above (😁), Sweden that is.👍
yep, I come back because your vids are great :) I'm a total beginner really when it comes to this sort of stuff, but seeing you and others do stuff gives me confidence to try myself, doesn't always go well, but practice etc etc :)
Hi Scott. Really enjoy all your videos and look forward to the next . You are a very talented guy keep up the good work and say hello to Judy from South Wales 🏴 Uk . Regards Tony
Awesome. I use those daily and they are standing up very well so far. I hope to make some industrial furniture projects again in the near future. Thank you!
Hello Scott, I look forward to more videos and preferably when you work with metal and wood together, like your bench with metal sheets 😉 Greetings from Sweden
I love your videos Scott! You're very skilled at everything you do, love that you share your emotions, your goofy humor and you aren't afraid to share your mistakes. Keep it up mate! I'm from Austin Texas 😏👍🏼
Great build, fun video and entertaining commentary. Hello from late fall in New Hampshire, where I'll soon be dealing with solid forms of water, ice and snow.
we come back because you are good at what you do and you're funny too not too serious and not up yourself lol
Huge thanks Gravel Rash! Very much appreciated!
And not to forget about his wife 😂 firemen calendar 2025 😂
Hi Scott, THE BIGGEST TIP I CAN GIVE YOU IS KEEP FRESH FUEL IN THE TANK AND CARBY AND RUN IT REGULARLY. Fires looming around Menai Sydney, he decided to get the pump out and get it fire ready, no start. Fuel was off and varnished the carby, something you don't want in an emergency. Regards, Steve. PS: Luv ya workshop!
Thanks Steve. Yes I agree. I normally use premium fuel and turn the fuel tap off and run it dry. Huge thanks!
You bloody awesome mate. Keep doing you 🤜🤛
Huge thanks Vlad!
Glad to see the correct method of packing wheel bearings and setting of the split pin.😊
Cheers Bernard! I've been ripped by many a split pin in my aircraft maintenance days.
Hi Scott loved the build and the video. Greetings from the UK; which means I can supply you with as much water for your pump as you need💦🤣. Stay safe mate.
Hi Fred! Yes please, send some rain. Very dry right now but our wet season is not far away, then we'll get plenty : )
Not only are you really creative, but I love that there's nothing you can't take on when you've set your mind to it! Nicely done. Maybe take a few orders and make some for the neighbors so you all have the needed kit when the time comes.
Much appreciated! All the best!
I enjoyed the banter, could you put me down for the calendar when you are in it. Ha ha
Haha...nope ; ) Thank you Shane!
It's a pleasure to watch a true craftsman doing what he does kudos to you and Judy .
Thank you Tony!
We are all idiots, some of us come up with the occasional good idea. Merry Christmas to you and yours just keep doing what you do and we’ll still be here.
Thanks Peter! Agreed and Merry Christmas!!
I wouldn’t miss a video! Always a pleasure to watch and the banter between you and Judy is brilliant! Thanks for providing us with knowledge and entertainment!!! 😁
You can get baffle balls for non baffled tanks if you find the water sloshing is a problem.
Cheers Warwick! I'll look into those baffle balls. All the best!
Good on you Scott it's always good seeing you making things.... Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.. I always look forward to them..
Thank you!!!
Great Video Scott. Everyone who lives rural and on acreage should have one of those. Cheers.
Thanks Bruce, Yes it's a good investment. Gives us more peace of mind.
Hi Scott - it's a pleasure - keep making them!
Thank you! Will do my best.
What a wonderful life you have made for yourselves. We keep coming back because we love your creativity, expertise & humour. Keep up the awesome content. All the best from Perth.
Thank you so much Marie!!
Scott, both you and Judy keep us entertained with your good Aussie humour, but mainly with your honest and practical approach to building your projects, and sharing your life change to the new property, keep it up mate, and keep the videos coming
Very much appreciated Steven!!
If you live in the bush, you'll need to defend against bushfires at some point. Great work on rig!
Truth! Thank you Josh!
Thank you to you for making all these beautiful and interesting videos for all this time . Keep going and take care ! Hello from Brussels Belgium .

Big warm hug from Orléans, France,

Very much appreciated Allan!!
It's always a pleasant suprise to receive the gift of a video from you.
Thanks Dale and all the best!
Hi Scott! Of course we are here. I love your little place in the bush and watch everything you make. Great job!
I cannot ask for more than that! Huge thanks!
Good Unit Scott, handy for watering etc as well.
Hopefully that's all it will be needed for, cheers!
Hi Scott, thanks for all your time you putting into your quality in the projects, from sunny South Africa
Thank you Peter!!
She's a beautiful rig! Scott, you've done it again! Good on ya!
I just need to make some covers and do a few mods on the pipe work. Thanks again and all the best!
I really appreciate that Andrew and your encouragement and support over all these years! All the best!
Good to see old framie practices never die, surprised you didn't lockwire the the tow hitch bolts lol
Awwww I was tempted to get the lock wire piers out, but like every good framie, a hammer was never far from reach ; ) Thanks Andrew!
Calendar Model incoming Mr May! Great build, I keep learning things by watching your videos
Negative, I'll over expose the shots with my Lilly white guts hanging out. Thanks as always!
Always a pleasure to see you work Scott, always a tip to pick up here and there 👍.
Your trailer looks great! It's only missing a coat of bright red paint and flashing lights 🚒😁
Just hopin' you'll never have to actually use it 🤞.
Best regards from France!
Thank you so much! Yes a coat of red paint would make it look the part. All the best!
Absolutely stunning content and program keep goings mate 👍 🇦🇺😀
Huge thanks Peter!
Cheers!
Wonderful comment Rick, very much appreciated! Yes better safe than sorry, good peace of mind.
Nice work on the trailer Scott 👍🏾. Hope you’re both doing well.
Thank you Kym! Yes both doing very well thank you.
brilliant idea on the swarf pickerupa , cheers 4 sharing sir.
Much appreciated!
Keep it up! 🙂
Always appreciated Paul, thanks mate!
Always look forward to your uploads. We are here for the long haul. Keep it up!
Well said
Much appreciated Bonnie!
Much appreciated Andrew!
Looks great. If you plumb the Suction line into the IBC Outlet the Pump will self prime with the water level above saving alot of headache and time.
Thank you! Yes I think that would be a great improvement. Much appreciated!
I really appreciate the tips!!
I have a similar saw. I like it because you can leave it to do it's thing and get on with something else. It is also reasonably quiet and doesn't throw filings all around the shop.
Perfect for the type of work I do, cheers!
Patience is always the least expensive path in any project.
We are all glad you have invited us into your daily lives.
Much appreciated Steven!!
Still watching you Scott. Hello from South Africa
Thanks for watching along and for your support!
Thank you Oz Gecko! All the summer creatures are knocking on our door now : I All the best!
Long time subscriber. You have a laid-back attitude and fun jokes along with great projects! Keep it up.
Much appreciated Tom!
I always enjoy your work and creativivty.
Huge thanks John!
Hi Scott & Judy, love your videos and will always be here to watch even if you did one a year. All the best to you both 😊
Much appreciated Ayframe!!
I wasn’t judging you on the size of your metal saw, heck I wasn’t judging you at all.
Keep up the good work, I find it interesting to watch.
Thanks.
No worries Sid! This little saw of mine has done a mountain of work over the years.
Yeah still here. Love your videos and your down-to-Earth demeanour. Oh my, that little desk brought back memories too! "Hawkesbury City Council" Recycling tray - I've got one of those.
Thank you, much appreciated!
Excellent build, Scott. I think I need to do the same for my desert property in Arizona. Random lightening strike could create big problems when you're off grid. Another project added to my ever growing list of projects😉🙂
Hey Doug! Yep it's there if needed, all part of the prep. I hope all is well over your way, all the best!!
Really good video again Scott, love your humour and the banter between you both makes good viewing and fun. No need to thank people watching , it’s us that like you and your channel, please keep them coming.
I really appreciate that Nick! All the best!
Thanks for the magnetic pickup tool tip. Nice welds
Thanks Greg! Glad you liked the magnetic tool, works a treat.
Nice work Scott. Please be careful if you stay to fight a fire though - J needs her pin-up to survive
Thank you! Yes will be careful/ sensible. :) All the best!
Mate, you're worth it. I've been watching your videos since you were living in Townsville. 👍👍👍
:) Thank you Cathy!! We'll catch up one day hopefully.
Well thank you for continuing to share all of the cool stuff you make. I know sooner or later you'll get the itch and make a wildly interesting and extremely over-built piece of industrial furniture from scrap material.
I hope to as well, those are fun projects. Thank you Barthanes1

Thank you! Home made wherever I can.
You need a better solution to have to avoid the priming of the pump, as when the need is there, then there is panic, and you could be waiting valuable time with messing around to get the pump to work. The idea of the whole cart is absolutely brilliant, and will be a live saver.

Thanks for your videos and your quality of work. I have learned a lot from you and look forward to all of your videos.
Huge thanks!
awesome job mate 👌
Thank you Jimmy!
Good job on a rare build. We shared this video on our homemade tool forum last week 😎
Hi Scott from Chico California. We are all Forme fans
Great to hear, thank you!
Woo hoo..
Well done Scott!!
Dont forget its a water cart too, for all those hard to reach plants that need a bit extra water
Spot on! Yes, hopefully that's all it will get used for. Fanx!
I haven't seen you smile like that for ages 😁 good on ya. You & the Mrs look really happy there 🍻
Thank you. Happy days : )
First timer here Scott. Enjoyed your down to earth, practical content 👍
@alanfenwick9307 thanks for the message and encouragement Alan!
good to see you back with another video.
Thank you!
@@ScottTurnerformeindustrious I was again a little lucky in that it was there when we bought the property, but it leaked and I had to get it repaired.
Thanks for the videos. I'm not sure priming the pump in an emergency would be much fun - but I'm sure you'll get it sorted. Stay safe out there.
Cheers! Now the suction line is full it should be no worries but I may put in a more direct line from the tank. All the best!

Greetings! Thank you so much for watching the videos and for your support!
Thank Scott. You and Judy always create enjoyable videos. Especially appreciated when so many channels are slowly but surely deteriorating.
Thanks Robert, I very much appreciate that!
Very good setup. Nothing beats prep.
Truth. Thank you!
Can’t wait for the calendar 😂 what a great set up you are a very clever man!! May you not have to use often, but peace of mind you have built the system and it’s ready of need be. Always enjoy your content Scott thank you! Hope Judy had no ill effects from the tick 😊
Awe thanks Annie! That rotten Judy and her calendar idea ;) Yes it is good peace of mind for sure. Judy is all good post tick. All the best!
Install a small valve with a hose in the front of the ibc for priming. It will work when the tank is full.

Great to see you guys! 👍🏻
Thank you RichoRob
Love your work Scotty, as usual.
I'm halfway through sheeting my shed now. Almost there !!
Thank you Tony! Sounds like you are near the finish line. It will be all worth it.
Mr Mature May. bwahaha. Great to see a bearing being packed right. We learnt that on the farm. Keep the vids coming whenever you get the urge and are feeling inspired. Catch up soon, buddy.
Much thanks Dale!! Had a heap of rain with more to come, so may be the end of the dry, fire season. All the best!
My favourite vid is the orange tool chest. The rebar handles are a great detail.
Thank you! Gets used every day. It's standing up very well.
Always fun and informative Scott. Calendar, hilarious! Thanks!
Thank you! Judy surprised me with that one ;)
Well done simple and effective 😊
Thanks Bernie!
Love your content, Scott. From our perspective, we're getting free TV. Regards from a cold UK 🇬🇧
Thank you Nigel! Hot here!
Episode one 2 years back and still here Scott.
Paul from Bacchus Marsh, Victoria. Good job on the fire cart.
Huge thanks for following along Paul!! All the best!
Very nice work Scott... Glad to see you back to building stuff...
The only thing missing is some fenders...
Scott, you take care my friend and God Bless you and your family....
G'day Gary! Thanks again. All the best, God Bless.
Scott I have a very similar saw to that in my small workshop, I made a few modifications to mine on a video. Improved the clamping handle, installed a coolant pump and a catch tray etc. they are fantastic for small spaces and it's like having an extra pair of hands in the workshop.
Great video as always!
Thank you! Yes they are a great compact saw. I'd like to do some of those coolant mods like you have.
@ScottTurnerformeindustrious highly recommend adding the coolant. It makes the blade's life last more than double I have found.
The Honda engines are pretty solid and parts are easy enough to come by if needed. Thanks!
Your videos are great no need to apologize for them . Good job on the trailer I hope you never need it . I’ve liked your bandsaw from the first time I ever saw it . thanks for the metal pick up tool . I wish you both well Thanks for sharing this with us.
Always appreciate your kind words and encouragement!!
Nice work on the trailer. Better off prepared than not, smart indeed.
Much appreciated!!
Fantastic video Scott love what you and the wife are doing keep up the good work 👏 🙌 👍
Thank you!
G'day Leo. Thanks for watching and for your support! Will use that idea for tick on the next occasion, thanks for the tips!
Fun project. Always amazed at the precision and quality of your work.
Thank you!!
I would watch a video of you watching paint dry, I was only thinking what new project you were working on. Always great to see an update from you, looking forward to seeing your next video. 🙌🤜🤛
Thanks Warren! Really appreciated your support!
One of, possibly, the best video in this branch I ever seen! Most instructive, and not a dull moment. And funny too!😁 I’m connecting as from today. Greatings from up above (😁), Sweden that is.👍
Greetings Thomas! Thank you for the kind feedback! All the best up there!
yep, I come back because your vids are great :) I'm a total beginner really when it comes to this sort of stuff, but seeing you and others do stuff gives me confidence to try myself, doesn't always go well, but practice etc etc :)
Thank you! It's always great to hear the videos and projects help inspire along the way. All the best!

I've been coming in here since your big orange metal and timber cabinet.
Awesome. I use those daily and they are standing up very well so far. I hope to make some industrial furniture projects again in the near future. Thank you!
Hello Scott,
I look forward to more videos and preferably when you work with metal and wood together, like your bench with metal sheets 😉
Greetings from Sweden
Greetings! Hopefully we can get back into the Industrial Furniture builds again soon.

Oi! Thank you!
I love your videos Scott! You're very skilled at everything you do, love that you share your emotions, your goofy humor and you aren't afraid to share your mistakes. Keep it up mate! I'm from Austin Texas 😏👍🏼
Huge thank you Matt! Trying to keep it real and there is always goofy stuff that I sometimes catch with the camera (the Tick). All the best Matt!
Great build, fun video and entertaining commentary. Hello from late fall in New Hampshire, where I'll soon be dealing with solid forms of water, ice and snow.
Thank Keith! I bet it will be cold there soon. On the warm and dry side here
