As an autistic girl, I also don't like the really loud crowd in public places. All I do is wearing my ear defenders, without them, I have to deal with them. But poor Miles. He's overstimulating because of the crowds and he was nearly getting lost. ;-;

Oh my gosh, as an Autstic myself I found myself relating to Miles SOOOO much. Especially in situations where I'm getting overwhelmed in places I'm not familiar with and with people I do not know. The overstimulation... it hurts
I can definitely relate to being overstimulated in an unfamiliar area with people you don't know......
This was a great next chapter in Miles’s story. I thought you did a lovely job showing his mind’s progression from the calm beginning to the attack to the post cool-off in a seamless fashion. As one who used to have bad social anxiety, it was pretty darn accurate. He’s a nervous guy, yes, but he is willing to try things which is so lovely to see. On top of that, he is sweet and considerate to the listener as well. I think you’re doing a great building Miles’s arc and I can’t wait to see where you take his storyline next! Bravo, Nyx! 😊

The part when Miles said that he doesn't do alcohol, I'm with him there. I don't do alcohol, nor beer and never will. For wine, I wouldn't drink it, but in churches, red wine as the blood of Christ, I would drink it. Just a little sip.

Yes! Say it again! I’m a Christian and I don’t drink alcohol either. I don’t think it’s a sin or anything but it’s just not my type of thing but my non Christian friends never understand why I don’t. They always tell me “ you have to live a little.” Or “ have a little fun!” But I can have fun without alcohol and I can live without it! They think I’m a goody two shoes because of it or some people think I’m giving off a holier than thou vibe when I’m not! It’s just a preference! 🤷🏻♀️
I'm kinda a goody two shoes as well. Not drinking, not vaping, neither smoking. Vaping and smoking are the worst to happen in some parties. It's bad for your lungs, like a smoke bomb is spreading inside your body and you can't let it out. I would never, and I mean NEVER, do any of that. Surely it's not a sin and can't send you to hell if you do it once, but still.

I have a question: is Miles on the autism spectrum? I'm asking because of how he notices how dirty or clean an area is and how he doesn't like the loud noise. If he is, it's done really well and I can relate as someone on the spectrum myself!! If he's not, then I know plenty of people on it will still relate to him a lot!! I never intended for Miles to be on the spectrum and was never trying to portray that. I have a brother who is on the spectrum and he's on the more non verbal side.
