The combination of being educational and entertaining is really awesome in your videos. And you're getting more and more professional. Cheers from Poland.
Brilliant, i live a couple of miles from Hadrian's Wall and half an hour from the Lake District. Really nice to see the north getting some proper coverage.

+James D. Wheeler thanks James! Onwards and Upwards! Stay tuned for the rest of the series!
Your use of light was excellent in this vlog
8:42. Surely, the northern-most extent of the Roman Empire was marked by the Antonine Wall until its abandonment in 162AD, when the legions withdrew to Hadrian's Wall.
Top class. I am an oldster from Newcastle but haven't seen half of these fantastic sites... well done... pro job.
I'm American, but my grandad is from Newcastle. I want to make this trip to see where he grew up and where my ancestors are from.
Thats the best veiw of the Duddo standing stones iv ever seen and i live there!!! Amazing footage guys i hope the rest of the vlog series is this good.
That was absolutely outstanding! I love the drone footage so much! I can't wait for the rest of the series.

Wow what a great video from my hometown. Thank you guys, much appreciated.
Really great video and some excellent footage - love the commentary - Im def going now ! thanks for posting
You guys consistently deliver incredibly high quality videos, deserve a LOT more views!
This is GREAT!!! I have been looking for some really good videos of history, and these are right up my alley!!!Thank you for these!!!I admit to being an arm chair archeology person.
What jolly hockey stick fun! As a former Brit who visits Blighty at least once a year, with the exception of Hadrian's wall, I knew nothing of these ancient and Roman remains. Zounds and gadzook but your Brit accents are pretty good. Looking forward to the rest of this series. Tally ho, eh wot!
I enjoyed that. I learnt something I did not know about Northern England.
I live in the South of England by Colchester, Colchester castle was built on a temple and besides Bath and the 'Great Wall Of Britain', I didnt think it got much more Roman then that but wow!! You have shown me something I never knew about my country and it makes me wanna travel up North more so now!
A flying fart haha! You guys are the best! Stay sweet and thanks for all the inspiration and laughs :)
Super mix of smarts, laughs and great video all cleverly edited; very professional. Can you keep it up for the entire series?.....I'll be watching!
I'm planning on hiking the Hadrian's Wall Path trail - from Wallsend in the east to Bowness-on-Solway in the west - this summer! Loved the video.
+The Serial Hobbyist Girl that will be such an amazing journey!! Do it :)

This is such a dope video! Love it!!! All those drone shots are gorgeous!
Funny stuff guys! Some pretty decent acting there.
Better impressions of accents that most US people make.
This is absolutely first rate. I'm from N. England and I just got a real lesson in my own history.
That roleplaying bit was hilarious ! thanks
Aww my homeland! Its so rich in history. Cant wait to see the rest of your series :)
If you are ever back in the north east of England, Newcastle is a must and my favourite, Tynemouth, with the ruins of Tynemouth Priory and Castle perched on the cliff.
"I've got diamonds from ice"....baa haa! Still waiting on the video of Alex & all his character accents! Shots in this vid were STUNNING as usual!!

Oooooh, the production value of this video is on point! Well done, guys!
And that skit with the soldiers was hilarious! :D
(Btw, 500th like ;) )
Great drone work lads.
very entertaining. Don't forget to try a "full English" breakfast...whilst you're there
Wow, that's a lot of nice shots! But hey, who does all the filming from above, and like, whilst driving? Guess you've got a drone, but I noticed it filming you whilst shaking hands in the starts, so it can't be one of you? Cool series, can't wait to see all the next vids!
9:52 didn't know Rome had Australian soldiers 😂
Fantastic should be on mainstream tv
I always wondered how the Romans dealt with the colder climate of England coming from the Mediterranean.
i honestly dont know how you guys dont have 1 million subs yet. You guys are awesome keep up the legit work!
+danny stfort thank you dude. Really appreciate this comment. Word of mouth is the best way to help us out. Spread the word Danny! 🙌🏼
Hi I just now discovered your channel. I'll trave to northumbria by the end of march, and I see you posted the video on april. When was it filmed? (I'm trying to measure de cold hehe
I come from there. There may be sun, rain, sleet, snow...and that's just one morning. Even if warm for the time of year, it will be cold. Hat, gloves, scarf, fleece and sensible shoes.
@@catherinerobilliard7662 hahah I loved your comment! thanks a lot
Oooh. How did you make the maps? Did you make them from scratch or did you get a plugin or did you have them made? Sweet stuff.
Hey nice job covering Roman stuff and even working a bit of Latin in there too (oh and btw that 'v' in vale is supposed to sound like a 'w' but other than that i was super impressed by the pronunciation). As a Latin student of many years, I always get super happy whenever anything of Latin/Roman origin is involved! Keep up the awesome videos!!
I think this is one of the only ones I've seen where they are not eating and drinking :') love you guys!
I been to vindolanda when I was in school.
Been to all of these places already.
LMAO at the Australian London accent attempt!
#snapsquad!!! Filipi from italy! got scolded drinking beer in schenecy in budapest!!! loved your videos! ciaooooo
DAMN THIS IS SO COOL! I live in Newcastle and can literally walk 10 minutes and get to a piece of the roman wall. Been to Vindolanda and all around that area, it looks so cool from above! xD Those attempts at southern British accents in the north... for Italian Romans was so funny.
p.s. the Hadrians Wall wasn't actually the boundary of the roman empire, the Romans managed to get up into Scotland and there are roman buildings in the South of Scotland but I think they had to retreat back or something. I remeber my history teacher going on about it.
+Liam Moscrop nice!! Glad you enjoyed. There is actually another wall about 100 miles north of Hadrian's wall but it's not as well preserved. Glad you enjoyed the skit, we had fun filming it! Stay tuned for the rest of the series!
vagabrothers Thats awesome (: Cant wait for the next episode! (:
The Antonine wall. They got at least as far as Inverness,
Yup, we booted their arses back down.
Nein die waren nicht in SCHOTTLAND, hatten schiss vor den wilden aus dem Norden.
and again - amazing video!
+Victorie louche thank you!!! Have you seen the Viking episode?
+vagabrothers not yet. but I will see
I really enjoyed this! It's interesting to see these places from an outside perspective. I lived in Northumberland for most of my life (I only live about half an hour away now so I haven't gone far haha) and these are places I've been and learnt about in school so I'm excited to maybe learn a bit more about it and see what else you guys go to see! Great job on this one :)
+Rebekah-May Taylor awesome! Have you seen the next two videos in the series? Check them out and drop a comment with your thoughts. Cheers!
vagabrothers not yet but I'll definitely be checking them out!
Loved watching this! It's like being a tourist in my own country haha I reckon with the amount of road trips I've done I'll have driven by Hadrian's Wall a bunch of times but I don't remember if I've ever actually been to it
you should explore Scotland, you would love it here, to go up to the Highlands and caithness to the northern point of scotland and great Britain :)
+Gabby GiggleSnort we have been!! Our first videos were from Scotland. Check the Vintage Vagabrothers Playlist :)
I'm wondering if the Hadrian wall was meant to keep anyone out or juat to act as a border marker. I'm so excited to see the rest of this series!
+Ashleigh Epps it marked the edge of the holy Roman Empire at the time of the Emperor Hadrian, mostly a vanity project. Some people believe it was to keep the Scots out, but that's not strictly true, passage through the wall was allowed. A lot of people still think it marks the border between England and Scotland because of this but the Scottish border is quite a bit further north
Very good video. Thank you.
If this vlogging thing doesn't work out- you've got a future in theater. LOL. I really enjoy your original skits!!!! Keep up the great work.
+carolyn mcfarland we always enjoy a good bit of improv! ;) Thanks for watching and commenting Carolyn!
Nice to see a vlog in the north rather than just in London
This is part of a 9 Video Series from Northern England. Make sure you watch the rest :)
Apparently hadrians wall inspired the ice wall in george RR martins a game of thrones and the legion that protected the wall against the picts (wildlings) was an inspiration for the nights watch. Or so people say.
Make sense!!
i love your guys videos! very different style to other vlogs but i think your one of my favourites.
if you ever in edinburgh, give me a shout
+Jamie Riccardo thanks Jamie! Glad you dig the vlogs! Stay tuned, there's so much more on the way! Love Edinburgh as well!
vagabrothers cant wait for it guys! You should visit in august for the Fringe festival, best time of year
