@@LockedonWilddon't think it's just a losing streak thing. I love Boldy when he can play his game, but I just can't trust a player who is as inconsistent as Boldy is. This isn't the best comparison but Ek kept this team together despite not being a star player. How? Being a consistent center who does what he needs to do and he gets the job done. Does Ek have good games and bad games? Yes, but nowhere near these random Boldy drop-offs that come out of nowhere. Now, after a good night's rest, I don't think that a Boldy trade is good for the team, I don't think there are other players that could replace that skill that Boldy can offer that are on the table right now. I was a little tilted after the match last night and took it out on Boldy 🙏
There was a comment a week ago or so that we had a tough 20 game stretch coming where we played 14 games against either top Eastern or top Western conference teams. Playing 500 through that stretch looked aspirational given the injuries but what we are seeing is that the team isn't materially different than last year - with the exceptions that Kap is playing out of his mind, Spurgeon is back and Hartman and Foligno look older. The team has always been thin and subject to collapse if injury occurred to key players. Ek is one of those, Brodin is too. I think the team makes the playoffs but that's just about it.
If you've been a Wild fan, a hockey fan, for very long, you knew this was coming. Brock Nelson? No thanks. This team isn't a chip or two away from being the cup contender we want.
Preseason, my opinion was that the Wild were not going to make the playoffs. Their incredible start had me thinking I was wrong, but now it seems like missing post-season is a possibility
Straight up not having a good time! WHAT IS WRONG WITH SPECIAL TEAMS??? That should be the focus to fix. Don't overcorrect, or deal pieces we will regret losing down the road... Also, Kiril needs to do something other than a 360 turn at the 3/4 boards...its obvious and not working anymore.
Ava fan: yeah, def trade Boldy! But seriously, ur right about COL; they are 6-3 w the new goalies & a couple losses due to team having the flu. The locker room is happier & they are about to go on a run
Boldy can only score with Kap and before that Fiala, and on the PP. I don’t care how young he is. He’s been in the league for almost 240 games. Swap him for someone who doesn’t need to be babied with stars. He is who he is. Travis Konecny is out there and he puts up consistent production year after year no matter what scrubs he plays with and he never looks like he’s skating in glue out there, taking bad penalties like Boldy Boldy will only do well if you put him on a line with superstars. And even then he goes into slumps. That’s why he was bumped to 2nd line That’s not a player I want on my team long term. He’s 23 but he’s old enough and played enough games to know what he’s gonna be in the NHL. Everyone who thinks there’s this magic progression out there waiting for him plays too many video games. Mentally players are who they are. And if you know how to read people and evaluate the game, you can kinda tell who a player is after they’ve played a few years.
The Wild are just not a team. They have 5 attackers and 4 defensemen, of wich 1 attacker and 1 defenseman are missing. Of the attackers at hand, 1 is nowhere to be seen and the rest are producing only when 97 is on the ice. You just can't beat good teams with this kind of a roster. In the start of the season they were good defensively, now they just rely on 3 men to defeat all the teams. Anyway, easy for me to talk from my couch.
The wild BETTER be looking to make a trade for a goalie!!! Fluery is to old and Wall is NOT the prodigy he was advertised to be!!! IF this opportunity to have a competitive team passes us by I blame it on bill guaren bringing in his buddy Fluery and pissing off Talbot so much he demanded a trade! Talbot WAS our goalie of the future! We could have had an amazing tandem of Talbot and Fluery or possibly traded to get Talbot and Gus!
Talbot was 33 when he signed with us. We traded Talbot for Gus, who is still 26. Fleury will be gone after the season is done, Jesper is still young. R E L A X
Absolutely hell no for trading Boldy
It’s amazing the stuff that people think will help fix a losing streak lol

Players Sabres trade away usually win a cup. Winning move.
🙏🙏🙏 Thanks for the memories.
Better not trade Boldy!!
I doubt that is even on the table thankfully

There's no such thing as an "attacker" in hockey.

Болди заиграет! 38 и 89 нет......новички не дотягивают...повторяют игру "пассажиров".....
John Hynes needs to be fired asap. This happened to all his previous teams, they stopped scoring and he lost dressing rooms fast
