Helloo Brother!! Hope you are doing well. I was wondering to ask you a question about the recent changes declared by ircc in Canada regarding international graduate students on September 18, 2024. For 1 year masters program spousal open work permit will not be allowed except the masters program of the tenure 16 months and above. My question is as I have already enrolled in my one years masters program in organizational Management at Crandall University for January 2025 intake got necessary study permit and visa earlier to this changes announced. In such cases shall it be applicable to my spouse? My 2nd question is will my only kid below 18 year be able to come and eligible for free education? Mentionable, in recent changes there was nothing mentioned regarding kids free education except spousal open work permit restriction for those enrolled in one year masters program. Would appreciate if you kindly give your genuine opinion. Sorry for any inconveniences caused. Since regards,

      1. Spousal Work Permit: Since you obtained your study permit and visa before the announcement of the new regulations, it’s likely that your spouse may still be eligible for an open work permit. However, I recommend checking the latest guidelines on the IRCC website or consulting with an immigration consultant to confirm your spouse's eligibility based on your specific circumstances.
      2. Education for Your Child: As for your child, generally, children accompanying study permit holders are eligible to attend public school in Canada, typically without tuition fees. However, this can vary by province, so it’s essential to verify the specific regulations in New Brunswick, where Crandall University is located. In Canada, public primary and secondary schools (elementary and high schools) are free for international students’ children, unless they attend private schools, in which case tuition fees apply.
I hope this information is helpful, but I encourage you to consult official resources or an immigration expert for the most accurate advice tailored to your situation. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
      Best regards,
