You stated that the numerical counter shows you how many photos you've taken but it actually counts down from 10, so it shows how many shots you have left.
@@jacobbevis6638 It's not the same thing lol what you are saying is that if it shows 10 that would mean you have taken 10 pictures which would mean you are out of pictures (10 max) What it means is that if there is a 10 it means you have 10 pictures remaining. That is not the same thing.
Very helpful video. I was given this for my birthday and it honestly had no instructions included. I mean it's kinda self-explanatory if you used to have the old Polaroid God. I love that thing. But I didn't know about the little selfie mirror and all the other tips you gave. Thanks again and hope you have a happy Thanksgiving
My 1st time seeing that mini Polaroid has evolved, I'm astatic to see this. One was stolen at a local school event with an Amazon link so made me look. This was the one they linked and your video appeared 1st. You gave a great review and description I certainly know more of this. The price of a 10 pack will be a more determining factor. I see this as a great gift for any office setting. My sister will receive one with a 10 pac minimum for 100 cool and silly pics for her PT clinic. Great content! Appreciate it!
Thank you SO much for talking me through this! It’s so nice that you help others understand features! You have a great way of explaining things. Thank you. 😀
That was really helpful, just got my hands on this cute instax mini 12 in the colour - Lilac Purple. Thank you for such a vivid informational video, that was helpful for me indeed ! :)
Wish I watched he'd this before I impulse bought one for my 9 year old daughter. I was just excited for her to take interest in photography. Wish it saved photos because she's just started blasting and used up the 10 photos within 5 minutes 🤣 and things are expensive. Like a $1 aus per photo if buying the 100 pack.
5:13 - "When you load new film into the camera, as soon as you close back of your camera, take that shot, take out that discarded cover..." The "take that shot" is confusing. Doesn't the cover come out automatically, and then, and only then, do you "take that shot?"
On their analog cameras (at least, on my Mini 40), you need to press the shutter button after initially loading the cartridge in order to eject the cover. The Instax Evo (the digital one) does automatically eject the cover when you put in the cartridge. Once that black cover has been ejected, you should be 100% good to go and ready to begin using the camera.
You have to screw the aperture out to the close up position to turn it on first for the black thingy to come out before you can take photos,. He didn't mention this.
Hi Chris, thanks for this review, looking at this product, I'm thinking we are still missing a Fuji sport waterproof camera, this a non accessible market for smartphone...
While I have absolutely no idea who the audience would be, I would love to see a "pro" Evo that does exactly what the normal Evo does, but it has an incredibly high quality sensor, metal construction, and perhaps real film sims.
I have the instax mini 8 purple one still. Thinking about a photo printer. It would eliminate all those instax cameras all together. I get it…it’s nostalgia to have a camera that prints right from the camera. I need to whip mine back out and use it. It’s not just for the young and teens, even us adults like them to.
is it really only nostalgia? if you put them mon the table at a party... everyone can take photos, and have a memory they can put on their freezer, sideboard,.. whatever. without you having to sent everyone all the shots you took with a digital one,.. then have to choose if you want to have a photo.. then go and print it,.. and son on.. sure its not getting you the top of line perfetct 4kHD pictures.. but it gets you fun memories
Hi Chris, Thanks for this video. I always watching your video, many thanks for your sharing. Don't quit this channel please. Especially for us, fuji user that still need your tips an tricks. Here I have question and (maybe) video idea for you. I have difficulties in taking group photos. Several times I failed to get a good photo (good focus on each/every face), especially when there are a lot of people and line up to 2 or 3 rows or even more. Would you please share the proper settings or tips n tricks? This maybe little bit technically and specific. Such as exposure triangle (Aperture) and other detailed settings on the camera, especially about focusing. Is it single point or zone or even wide all, should activate eye/face recognition (will overwrite anything) or not, also what about metering, is it spot or multi, or something else. Would you like to share some tips n tricks of that? Pardon my english, I'm from South East Asia Thank you!
Hi, not the autor of the video, but this might help. Metering doesn't really matter in this scenario, just don't put spot metering. The thing you may touch is the aperture, and go like 5.6 or 8, maybe even 11 if the light is really good. When you close the aperture, the Depth of Field increase, and more area gonna be in focus.
I don't think this is intended as an upgrade from your previous purchase, so much as an improvement to rope in new customers. This model is a little more convenient to use than my Mini 40, but they're pretty much the same thing.
I just bought one and the lens mechanism feels flimsy, like I would have to pay attention not to accidentally Skip "on" to "selfie/ close up mode." Did you have this issue?
Just give this camera to my daughter for Christmas and when we take pictures all that comes out is a white photo with no image. Any ideas what's wrong with it, or what we are doing wrong? Already wasted half the film with white pictures.
@@fern9234 make sure the film has no exposure to light - quickly load in the film container and close immediately (do not remove the film unless all ten photos have been printed out). Also dtay out of spots with bright lighting.Hope it helps !
@Zee-oc2xh yes, that's what it was. My daughter had opened the lid after inserting it without saying anything. After 2 blank pictures the rest were fine. Thanks for the reply
You'd rather have to charge it all the time? just put some batteries in, and replace them the next year. Edit: For real, you just put the batteries in, and forget about it. They can last for years and hundreds and hundreds of packs of film before running out of battery. We like to keep it analog (or as close to) 😎
It'd be better to bring back the ability to print right from camera via their latest instax printers. The fact that only x-s10 is capable of this is frustratiing for all the X-T users
Hi I just got this camera for Christmas but I’ve been noticing a problem and I was wondering if you could give me an answer. I have noticed that I take pictures and sometimes it come out pure white almost as it doesn’t develop and then I retake it and it works but I don’t understand why that happens.
Oh god, the vertical photo generation!! All the money they make from instant cameras wish they would do something more serious with a one inch sensor like the evo.
makes no sense, this is supposed to be inexpensive. You can use an X mount camera and connect it to an Instax Printer, that will achieve what you describe
I bought the 12 less than a month ago and no matter if I take them close or far away they always come out blurry, I already changed the batteries and nothing works, so disappointing
I usually like your videos, but I'm sorry to say that this video doesn't qualify as either a review or a setup guide. You should also take a minute to understand what parallax correction means before you confuse your viewers with claims of magically centered selfies.
If you’re a selfie person, this wouldn’t be for you….if you take a selfie and you end up not liking it, then you just wasted a print….my sister did that, she wanted to take the perfect selfie but didn’t like any of all the prints she was getting and she eventually wasted all 10 prints in that single film cartridge
what more can I say about this? Toxic pollution from his creation through its use and in the landfill… I thought these chemical photo packs were a thing of the past. They should be. Please don't buy this camera
