While Takuru was estimated to make more than Kirei last year the Samurai Remnant collab has been a disaster compared to the Nero collab. Raikou banner charted - 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 7th, 11th, 20th, 29th, 32nd The Summer Musashi banner has sorta stabilized things with it going to 11th and now 9th.

NP5 was already the set highest amount of copies a person would want to roll for, and it's kept in line with that. An a way horrible of justifying this major time commitment is spending money in hopes that your time wasn't wasted playing a game. While it not good to do so, I can see were they're coming from. An I think you can relate Honako, Despite this games countless flaws you still continue to play it and don't seem to want quit, whilst theres probably other reason, your time commitment to this gacha game is probably a prevalent reason. Actually the time has nothing to do with it. I just like Fate enough to keep in touch with the game and see where it goes. I also love editing It's a real passion of mine. I've been a fate fan for only 4 years and started playing fgo a year ago, but I really do agree with most of your takes on this game. It just feels pretty static at most times and it's mostly just grinding non stop repetitively and you'll only get the full experience whenever a new main chapter comes out or just those fun CQs every once in a while.
Its honestly insane how people will take any "out of context" moments and would bite unto it. It was already clear that people who would defend this piece of shit game has a lot of correlation with sunk cost fallacy, like how is that so hard to understand to these types of people. it's funny, the reason i stopped watching FGO gameplay is beacause it's always just minturns, and minturns are ALWAYS TE SAME THING, the strategy is exactly the same, it just changes which support you use based on the card type. It's just boring. But try and find gameplay that is not minturning with double meta support comps on this site, IE acutally interesting Green is probaably one of the 3 or 4 ones.

(16:38) So somehow its okay for your friend to whale but for other whalers not to do so, because you personally know that he is well off? Then you say "a lot of people in the community aren't Lost" (16:51) then "a lot of the people in the community, can't. And its none of my business and I don't even know which whales are oil princes and which aren't... I don't know" (16:56-17:06) For the sake of the argument I'm just going to assume that the most of the whales do have disposable income to whale thousands of dollars on the game, for the sake of what you said. And if that is the case, why do you care so much? if they have disposal income to spend on the game and they feel happy spending it on a game that barely does anything good for the players, that's on them and that's their own responsibility. Anyway i agree with a lot of things, i have been playing for around 3 years and i feel the game declined a lot, greed gets more prevalent and F2P suffer, i will also hate that the GSSR banners are only for spenders, like their greed can't allow even once a year for a new GSSR for F2P. The scale that FGO seems to market at while the actual content in the game seems like a poverty game really hit me a few years ago. Like recently, I started playing Samurai Remnant and while I am liking that game I quickly got the impression that I was not playing a Fate spin-off, like a Fate/Extra, but that I was playing an FGO spin-off. "Oh god, am I playing a FGO commercial?" ran through my head. And then naturally the event happens on JP and it really do feel like a whole other game came out to make sure people whaled on new FGO servants. They even took S/R Rider's cool armor away lol...

I havent even spent more than a full price game on fgo and I am already afraid of sunken cost fallacy affecting me. And I am really unsure about spending any longer on the GSSRs. I like them for being one time only and most of the time their is a banner where I dont mind getting any of the servants so that it doesnt feel like the worst gamble. But at the same time going over normal video game prices feels a bit extreme and fgo is just getting worse with time. I also like to imagine how much regret I would feel when the game shuts down after I spent over 100 bucks. Fgo has come a long way, I personally got bored of the combat, and have stop playing because of it not going to lie and I started playing from 2016 to now but the game gets very tiresome with no auto battle. Especially if you have to grind events or daily farm. I also agreed that a lot of servant's animation are just too old or look meh.
It over the years did too little to actually improve. It mostly got more boring to the point i couldnt really be bothered to play regularly. It also increasingly started to disprespect ones time with stupid padding and filler.

So there's a series of games that's around 20 years old that I enjoyed since childhood, but the developers or publisher or whatever became really greedy and lazy in the last 5 or so years. But people waited and hoped that things will change for the better if we provide some feedback and maybe dont buy the most egregious money grabbing shit. But it got worse instead, so much worse in fact that community exploded with negativity and new games sales dropped hard. Only then we saw some improvement but the situation isn't over yet so it's hard to say if corpo-rats learned the lesson. If you pay and don't complain nothing will change.

I've been a fate fan for only 4 years and started playing fgo a year ago, but I really do agree with most of your takes on this game. It just feels pretty static at most times and it's mostly just grinding non stop repetitively and you'll only get the full experience whenever a new main chapter comes out or just those fun CQs every once in a while.

it's funny, the reason i stopped watching FGO gameplay is beacause it's always just minturns, and minturns are ALWAYS TE SAME THING, the strategy is exactly the same, it just changes which support you use based on the card type.

As someone who only watches your videos for the free to play solos and is free to play themself on FGO NA, here is my opinion on the matter (Oh boy, time for me to be roasted and have the pin of shame)
Disregarding how Plushie told you to shut up on your stream (Because I don't know the full context) some of your points that you make, often have you backtrack on your generalised statements like telling whales "is your money well spent" (15:01) "stop spending money on a mobile game, its an irresponsible use of your money" (16:06) then you tell Lost, a friend of yours that spends money on the game that "it's his money, he can do whatever he wants..." (16:38) So somehow its okay for your friend to whale but for other whalers not to do so, because you personally know that he is well off?
Then you say "a lot of people in the community aren't Lost" (16:51) then "a lot of the people in the community, can't. And its none of my business and I don't even know which whales are oil princes and which aren't... I don't know" (16:56-17:06)
For the sake of the argument I'm just going to assume that the most of the whales do have disposable income to whale thousands of dollars on the game, for the sake of what you said.
And if that is the case, why do you care so much? if they have disposal income to spend on the game and they feel happy spending it on a game that barely does anything good for the players, that's on them and that's their own responsibility. Is it irresponsible? in my honest opinion? oh, definitely. But in the end, that's just our own opinions, not the whales. And from my own personal experience, trying to convince whales to not whale by telling them how terrible their decision is in throwing thousands of money on a gacha game is sure as hell one of the worst ways imho, to convince them to not whale.
Is FGO in a bad state? It definitely is in my personal opinion. As you stated, animation updates have slowed down to a point that it has completely stopped and rate of events have slowed down so much that they have to extend events out for a longer time. And the pity system being a joke, compared to its competitors like Honkai Star Rail, it is terrible. I do want the game to be better as well. However, telling whales that they're irresponsible just because they're the game's main funders is not the way to go about it. Just inform players that the game is terrible and why. Then don't offend other players way of playing the game and boycott the game together by not giving it any money.

Anyway i agree with a lot of things, i have been playing for around 3 years and i feel the game declined a lot, greed gets more prevalent and F2P suffer, i will also hate that the GSSR banners are only for spenders, like their greed can't allow even once a year for a new GSSR for F2P. Now i'm just playing to see where the story goes and rolling on the occasional banner were i like the characters but even there i despair every time because the rates are horrible and the pity sucks, it also doesn't help that 9/10 time the character i like are the 4 stars and they have no form of pity because fuck them i guess?
I want to see the game improve but as long people keep spending while the devs work less and less nothing will change.

The scale that FGO seems to market at while the actual content in the game seems like a poverty game really hit me a few years ago. Like recently, I started playing Samurai Remnant and while I am liking that game I quickly got the impression that I was not playing a Fate spin-off, like a Fate/Extra, but that I was playing an FGO spin-off. "Oh god, am I playing a FGO commercial?" ran through my head. And then naturally the event happens on JP and it really do feel like a whole other game came out to make sure people whaled on new FGO servants.
They even took S/R Rider's cool armor away lol...

I am mad because you said whales are stupid and their opinions don't matter ; and TA/min turns are just for clout and low effort when you personally are not familiar with some of these people. I've never said whales opinions don't matter. Nobodies opinion is automatically good or bad based on if they are a whale or not.
A good number of my viewers ARE whales. I honestly have no idea where you got that from. There are certainly however whales that have blown an insane amount of money on this game and blindly defended it to justify to themselves it was worth it.
I've also never picked out players and insulted them. What I have done is expressed my feelings about the game or things to do in the game. Like Min turning. Which I don't like. Honestly, the whales out there should also have the responsibility to voice out their concerns or at the very least, dont defend the abyssmal state of the game, because the game has so many issues the only thing carrying itself is the FATE IP itself.

I havent even spent more than a full price game on fgo and I am already afraid of sunken cost fallacy affecting me.
And I am really unsure about spending any longer on the GSSRs. I like them for being one time only and most of the time their is a banner where I dont mind getting any of the servants so that it doesnt feel like the worst gamble. But at the same time going over normal video game prices feels a bit extreme and fgo is just getting worse with time. I also like to imagine how much regret I would feel when the game shuts down after I spent over 100 bucks. Just like what green man said its up to you on what you will do with your money but the way Lasengle runs FGO to the ground currently rn don't give them your money until they've done many right things not just a single or two, heck don't whale on gachas ever and just buy actual completed games that are good or things that are either necessary or you just like that thing which doesn't require you to gacha. Fgo has come a long way, I personally got bored of the combat, and have stop playing because of it not going to lie and I started playing from 2016 to now but the game gets very tiresome with no auto battle. Especially if you have to grind events or daily farm. I also agreed that a lot of servant's animation are just too old or look meh.
It over the years did too little to actually improve. It mostly got more boring to the point i couldnt really be bothered to play regularly. It also increasingly started to disprespect ones time with stupid padding and filler.

So there's a series of games that's around 20 years old that I enjoyed since childhood, but the developers or publisher or whatever became really greedy and lazy in the last 5 or so years. But people waited and hoped that things will change for the better if we provide some feedback and maybe dont buy the most egregious money grabbing shit. But it got worse instead, so much worse in fact that community exploded with negativity and new games sales dropped hard. Only then we saw some improvement but the situation isn't over yet so it's hard to say if corpo-rats learned the lesson. If you pay and don't complain nothing will change.
