That's funny because I've been a Mustang guy all my life. Just picked up an '83 Mustang GT 5-speed with T-tops last year. However, I find myself looking at a lot of late Gen 2 and early/mid Gen 3 Camaros these days. Would love to get one in my driveway if the price is right! Back in the day, a Mustang driver and a Camaro/Firebird driver wouldn't give each other the time of day. Now? I love seeing Camaros and Firebirds go by and I give them a honk on the horn and thumbs up! Funny how time often makes you see how petty and stupid you were in your prior years. 😉
@@openicehit True about the 5.0/Iroc rivalry back then. Wanted a black/gold Z so bad...just a few k more than I had. So picked up a 10 mo old 86 5.0 loaded...took everthing I threw at it super reliable ride.
@@gordocarbo First year of no-carb 5.0's and last year of the four-eyed foxes. Nice! I'll tell you, I'd love to get my hands on a black/gold Z from that era. Would be sweet!
Sounds like 3.27 gears. 89's had Mass Air. Sounds like a cam, but unusual not to have some other mods. Speedo bounce is either from cable winding/unwinding or speedo gear might be worn. Not sure how a shock causes the suspension to "go in and out." Nice 3G alternator upgrade. Suspension is lowered. Dash is a bit chewed up from removed aftermarket gauges.
91 had black bodyside mouldings.92 started painting body side mouldings body color.i bought a 91 bimini blue lx new. this is a fine car obviously with at least one repaint.
Nice job on this, not overdone. Tailights resemble the 85-86 which had a classic timeless look from day 1. Shame that 5 spd has a huge drop from 1-2 but were still great cars when new Glad its not hacked up most of them were well before they were 10 yrs old.
I still have my 89 LX Sport (built 9 of 88) and it is also mass air. Mass air started in California in 88 and the rest of the US in 89 model year With a standard transmission there were 2 different 3rd member ratios offered and they were a 2.73 or a 3.08 (Z axle) if ordered, I ordered the 3.08; 3.55 was Fl. Highway Patrol police only, at the time I ordered my Mustang. Setting the cruise is a tricky manipulation of the switches and if you get it wrong it doesn't set, so try again or it's malfunctioning.
CHP had 5.0s also. Ran from one back then and didnt expect it to get up to speed as fast as it did being as I had a mild 86 Gt. Any lower than 3.55 1st was useless, too low

So you guys are right in my neck of the woods. Will have to check you out. Great job going over the car.
Beautiful car. Had one back in the day. Would have got a blue one, but a black one caught my eye. The rest is history. Still wish I had it.
You'll have to get another one someday!
Good looking car! Just like mine. Guys don’t worry about all that sticker stuff if you’re in the market for a fox. It’s a Mustang not a Porsche 911 😂
😕
I had a Bimini blue 91’. Was stolen in Charleston SC. Police found it 16 days later stripped out. Loved that car.
I was always more of a Camaro/ firebird fan back in the day. But mustangs especially fox bodies have really grown on me as of late.

Beautiful car. Wish it had all the correct interior pieces.
Thats a beautiful fox lx!!!!! Definitely has a B-303 cam in it. LoL
Nice 👍 love the old school mustangs
This is a fantastic color in real life!
Beautiful ride! Maybe one day 😢

Looks like a clean 100k mile car. No fender tags do I’m guessing repaint. Interior pieces could be better matched colour wise. It’s solid 7/10
Nice

I have a 92 f150 with that color and I get complements everywhere I go.

Currently installing coilovers and SN95 17" Saleen sc wheels on my '92 bright calypso green lx 5.0 . WAY better than a GT, looks wise. imho
That’s an awesome color!
Beauty!
41K- not to sure about that.
More than twice its worth
@@gordocarbo No, 41k miles.
Wow
The seat belt alarm doesn’t work cuz you’re not wearing it.
