I like to read through all the comments, because other people's sentences, & your corrections, help your lesson to sink in.
However, this time I cannot see your corrections, although you obviously have made them, because the contributors thanked you for them.
I am not very technical or internet-savvy, so I don't know if this is accidental or deliberate; & I have noticed that some other people, who do corrections on your channel, do the same thing.
I can understand it if they want to conduct a long, off-topic conversation; but, otherwise, corrections & explanations are very likely to be of interest & help to other students.
By showing them, it should also mean that you won't need to repeat yourself as much, because others can read the answer to the question they too might have wanted to ask, or avoid the mistake they would have otherwise made, had they not seen it previously made & corrected.
Your corrections on previous lessons have been visible, & very helpful. Please continue to allow them to be visible to everyone.

In French, the auxiliary verb is either avoir or être. All French verbs are classified by which auxiliary verb they take, and they use the same auxiliary verb in all compound tenses. Most French verbs use avoir. The following is a list of verbs (and their derivatives) that require être:
aller to go
arriver to arrive
descendre to descend / go downstairs
(redescendre to descend again)
entrer to enter
(rentrer to re-enter)
monter to climb
(remonter to climb again)
mourir to die
naître to be born
(renaître to be reborn, born again)
partir to leave
(repartir to leave again)
passer to pass
rester to stay
retourner to return
sortir to go out
(ressortir to go out again)
tomber to fall
(retomber to fall again)
venir to come
(devenir to become
parvenir to reach, achieve
revenir to come again, come back)
These are all intransitive verbs of a certain kind of movement. You do get used to these verbs over time and one day you'll just know whether to use être or avoir without even having to think about it. But in the meantime, you might find it useful to use a mnemonic device.

In your videos, I have seen sentences where you use the following-
1) Du Pain
2) De Lyon/ de Leur
3) De la pollution
4) Des grenouilles
Could you please help me understand when we should use Du, De, De la, Des, etc.?
Is there a rule like there is for La, Le and Les (like you have explained in one of your earlier videos?

D'jay G Could be wrong, but think: de=of; de la = of the (precedes feminine words); du= de le ; des=some.

Hi Alexa, I am slightly puzzled by your first example - could it ALSO be translated as "he arrived at the train station, FROM Lyon TO Paris, at 8.30pm" instead of just being interpreted as 'la gare de Lyon'? Is it all about correct use of les virgules?
3:55 do you always so the past participle with a ta sound at the start if you are using the auxiliary verb to be?

Hello Alexa, I'm somewhat puzzled about when it's expected to join the last consonant when the following word starts with a vowel. For instance it seems you join the last s in "sommes" with "arrivés" but with the other pronouns you don't. Any help is appreciated, love your videos!
