Yes, I commented on one of your other videos when you had contact problems. Yes I used grandelash for a very long time. My contacts hurt every day and burned and was blurry and my eyes began watering nonstop and ruining my makeup. I had no idea it was that. I went to the eye doctor, we tried many contacts, I was burning through them and my eyes were messed up. She told me because of my age I probably had dry eyes. I never thought about the grandelash or mentioned it. The someone told me about their problems and so I stopped it. And my eyes got way better. I'm scared of it now too. It really did work well but it does not play well with contacts and sensitive eyes.
My pre-schooler that used to say "yay! the makeup lady!" is now the budding 14 yr old that still can't wait to watch with me....with 3 more sisters now....all having girl time with Emily. I really haven't even gotten to the stage of thinking about this with my own yet! I'd say maybe jr. high age with light makeup if it's something they want to try - like tinted moisturizer, powder, mascara, lip balm. Basically the lighter end of the coverage/colorful scale. And I think playing and experimenting at home is fine! It's a creative outlet :)
My daughter is newly 13 and is asking me about her wearing mascara. I’m all for it! She wears glasses and I think mascara will really boost her confidence. I’m gonna try to pop some blush on her cheeks too! Everyone looks better with a lil flushed cheek!

As I do with all of your product reviews, I found it to be informative and incredibly neutral. A lot of folks don't understand lack of accessibility, and it's easy to "cancel" someone because they can just go buy something else. I am disabled AND live in a small town who doesn't stock much make-up, so 90% of my purchases are online. With limited quantities for ecommerce as well, I end up trying a lot of brands that are mass-producing like this because they're all I can get when I need something. Always ALWAYS keep doing what you do, you're so helpful to me and thousands of others ❤

Totally. Not to mention that in some countries (like South Africa where I am), even "drugstore" makeup is double what you guys pay at Ulta or Target etc because of import tax. The high import costs also mean we get very few of the releases. Its nice to have options if you are on a budget (which 99% of the country is). I'm sick of first World twitter uses acting as if everyone in the world is in the same boat. Even cancelling brands only affects the people who work there. The high up management have insurance and investments that mean that they'll be fine if the company closed down.

I’m an optometrist and can answer your lash serum question! Grande lash contains a prostaglandin analog, which is the ingredient that makes your lashes grow, but prostaglandins are also pro-inflammatory, which is why these types of lash serums can cause redness, dry eye, irritation, etc. I keep trying to use grande lash, but for every one night that I use it, it takes me a week to recover from it, so I’m having trouble with it, too.

Amen! I love Emily's reviews and tutorials because she doesn't get on a soapbox about cruelty free or fair trade or environmentally safe or vegan or whatever other worthy cause is out there. I don't judge those who hold those beliefs, but I have enough problems trying to find affordable goods that are unscented, contain mineral-based sunBLOCKs when appropriate, lasting colors, etc. It shouldn't be Emily's job to check every potentially objectionable condition, hell, it's makeup! I'm an eye provider, yes Grande Lash contains a drug and all drugs have side effects. Common ones are redness, as well as hyperpigmentation of the eyelid and below the eye area. Dry eye is also very common.

Fiddling with lashes on a semi permanent basis like with lash lifts, or using drugs will all have possible side effects. Most commonly eye inflammation and dry eye. Take good care of your eyelid health to prevent dry eye from becoming a problem as you age :)

For example, ones like Latisse often cause hyperpigmentation of the lashline, undereye area, and can even change the color of your eye from blue to brown. I do recommend gently massaging your lashline with mineral oil on a q-tip! Mineral oil will not cause a reaction and will break down clogged oil ducts on your lashline, and will remove any oil and makeup buildup. It will also help keep your eyes from becoming dry while you sleep. We recommend this for dry eye patients in clinic.Keeping your lashline healthy and clean will help your lashes stay conditioned and keep them from falling out or becoming brittle.
I’m kind of addicted to their makeup and eyeshadow palettes and they’ve really impressed me. I love that the loose setting powder is talc free (not the under eye setting pressed powder) and light on my dry skin. I like the packaging and it just feels a little more luxe for an inexpensive brand. I’m loving the hydrating foundation on my dry skin. I like the coverage and enjoy the concealer as well. The stick contour and stick blushes are beautiful and I picked up an ombré blush recently (I haven’t tried it yet but it looks pretty) and the gel contour is my current favorite as are the gel blushes (both have the little sponge applicator). Now they just need to make a gel highlighter like this! I would try it for sure. I got their tubing mascara and it truly reminds me of the Thrive one! It was $5! 👍🏻I’ve been looking for a good replacement for that one for a while because it’s too pricey for me but I like the effect and the water resistance of it for rainy days. It also doesn’t smudge on me which is fantastic. I hope they come up with facial oil. I also like their brow pencils and eyeliners as well as the lip tints and I just ordered their newer lip oils. It’s so much fun to try this brand because everything is inexpensive enough to not feel risky getting it to try and I’ve actually lived just about everything I’ve tried and every shadow palette I’ve enjoyed. 👍🏻They’re pigmented and blendable and the shimmers are smooth on the eyes. Love!
I can’t tell you how many times I have put one of her videos on when I was anxious and couldn’t sleep. I never make it through.. puts me to sleep every time. Her voice is always so comforting. Like a best friend. 🥰
I have really enjoyed the products I've gotten from Sheglam, particularly the liquid bronzer/ contour. I love to see more decent, affordable makeup on the market. You shouldn't have to spend Sephora prices to get a good face of makeup!
I think it is absolutely hysterical that at 9 AM you had a multi hour check in. Most TH-camrs start their make up at like 11 AM! It just shows you’re a real human being!

I'm not surprised the brow products works that well... Korean, Japanese and Chinese make up all go for natural soft looking brows and usually have a pretty good colour selection for cool tones

When you apply grande-lash, do one eye at a time, and keep your eye completely closed until its dry. Then do the next one. That stopped my red eyes dead. Yes that actually happened to me as well.

Emily, I used the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost (similar ingredients to GrandeLash, I believe). And I noticed my eyes would get irritated (more bloodshot) even though I tried to be careful with how much of the product I used. I also noticed that my lash line would discolor (it would turn kind of grayish). While I loved the length my lashes reached, I’ve been hesitant about potential side effects and haven’t used a lash serum in quite a while. Just wanted to share my personal experience since you asked! Thanks for another great video!
Yes I have used Babelash and the original latisse lash serum and I got a really bad case of dry eye with redness and irritation. I had to quit them even though I loved how my lashes were looking. I'm still combating the effects.
I was coming here to say this about the Rodan and Fields one as well. A few years ago I used it regularly and was diagnosed with acute dry eyes from it and had to stop wearing contacts for a better part of 2 years while my corneas healed.

I recently tried that primer that you tried and liked it. Their blush sticks are good over a bronzer with a powder blushnon top. They last throughout the day! The ombre blush is nice too! I like the check in that you did later in the day too! Thanks for this review!
I’ve tried the Birthday Skin primer and pretty much had the same results as you described, but I’ve also tried a blush/highlight duo stick, a contour stick, and a lipgloss and liked them all. Now I’m going to order the liquid blush! Fun video!
This video started an obsession with Sheglam, the products are so good, so high end for the price, I love the foundation blush and bronzer you used. The lipsticks are fab I have a variety and so are the brow products and hi-lighters. All round a fabulous range and so glad it’s here in Australia!!!!!!!
My favorite product from Sheglam is the Baked Glow Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. I use it under my eyes and it really brightens and smooths that area out.
I have a lot of Sheglam makeup and have yet to be disappointed in anything. I bought the boxed set of liquid blushes and they are absolutely gorgeous xxx

Your hair is so cute! Love the layers :) Also don’t be afraid to wear lighter lip colors - that color looks GREAT on you. Really compliments your face and doesn’t overtake the look.
I wouldn’t say you need to be afraid of your lash serum, but taking a break or discontinuing use would be wise. They are known to cause a range of issues when used long-term, including redness/irritation and eye colour darkening. We only get two eyes! We really must take great care of them.
I couldn't believe how many good products you tried! They look really nice on and in the packaging. I might be inspired to try that tubing mascara for the lower lashes alone.
Ok. I'm here for this... I've never heard of "Sheglam," but never tire of hearing about affordable make-up! My favorite review in this one, though, I have to confess- was for the Wendy's fries! This made me smile while I was GRW-Emily this morning!
I love the foundation! I first apply it with the SheGlam foundation brush, then go over it with a damp sponge. I also have one of their cream blushes, which is really pigmented, and a highlighter, which is almost a duochrome. Impressed with the quality for the price!

I've only tried the liquid blushes and the contour. Make sure you shake them up before applying. When I didnt shake them they removed my foundation. I love the blushes but I'm still on the fence about the contour.
I make that sheet pan meal as well and throw on some Pierogies for the side. So good cause they get crunchy on the edges, *chef's kiss. The new Wendy's fries are sooo good and I agree they also have the best nuggets and best honey mustard.
I just made my first order from sheglam! I got some of the color samples of the foundation so I can get the right color, also got the dual powder and eyeliner and some brushes! I really want to try those bronzer and blushes EVERYONE raves about them but I have a few liquid and cream bronzer and blushes I need to use up first. I'm trying to be more mindful of my makeup purchases this year! This look came out great!!!!

It was super harsh for me I had to discontinue unfortunately. Hopefully there are other products available that are better and less sensitizing.

I have really enjoyed the products I've gotten from Sheglam, particularly the liquid bronzer/ contour. I love to see more decent, affordable makeup on the market. You shouldn't have to spend Sephora prices to get a good face of makeup!
I think it is absolutely hysterical that at 9 AM you had a multi hour check in. Most TH-camrs start their make up at like 11 AM! It just shows you’re a real human being!
I am majorly impressed. I’ve had really expensive makeup not perform nearly as (cough Charlotte Tilbury cough) and this one is really nice looking. You sure can’t beat the price. I enjoyed this so much! Take care!

I'm not surprised the brow products works that well... Korean, Japanese and Chinese make up all go for natural soft looking brows and usually have a pretty good colour selection for cool tones

When you apply grande-lash, do one eye at a time, and keep your eye completely closed until its dry. Then do the next one. That stopped my red eyes dead. Yes that actually happened to me as well.

Emily, I used the Rodan + Fields Lash Boost (similar ingredients to GrandeLash, I believe). And I noticed my eyes would get irritated (more bloodshot) even though I tried to be careful with how much of the product I used. I also noticed that my lash line would discolor (it would turn kind of grayish). While I loved the length my lashes reached, I’ve been hesitant about potential side effects and haven’t used a lash serum in quite a while. Just wanted to share my personal experience since you asked! Thanks for another great video!
Yes I have used Babelash and the original latisse lash serum and I got a really bad case of dry eye with redness and irritation. I had to quit them even though I loved how my lashes were looking. I'm still combating the effects.
I was coming here to say this about the Rodan and Fields one as well. A few years ago I used it regularly and was diagnosed with acute dry eyes from it and had to stop wearing contacts for a better part of 2 years while my corneas healed.
I had that experience with Grande and had to discontinue :( wish I knew another one that works that Isn't so sensitizing

I recently tried that primer that you tried and liked it. Their blush sticks are good over a bronzer with a powder blushnon top. They last throughout the day! The ombre blush is nice too! I like the check in that you did later in the day too! Thanks for this review!

I’ve tried the Birthday Skin primer and pretty much had the same results as you described, but I’ve also tried a blush/highlight duo stick, a contour stick, and a lipgloss and liked them all. Now I’m going to order the liquid blush! Fun video!

This video started an obsession with Sheglam, the products are so good, so high end for the price, I love the foundation blush and bronzer you used. The lipsticks are fab I have a variety and so are the brow products and hi-lighters. All round a fabulous range and so glad it’s here in Australia!!!!!!!
My favorite product from Sheglam is the Baked Glow Loose Setting Powder in Translucent. I use it under my eyes and it really brightens and smooths that area out.

I wouldn’t say you need to be afraid of your lash serum, but taking a break or discontinuing use would be wise.
They are known to cause a range of issues when used long-term, including redness/irritation and eye colour darkening.
We only get two eyes! We really must take great care of them.

Ok. I'm here for this... I've never heard of "Sheglam," but never tire of hearing about affordable make-up! My favorite review in this one, though, I have to confess- was for the Wendy's fries! This made me smile while I was GRW-Emily this morning!
I love the foundation! I first apply it with the SheGlam foundation brush, then go over it with a damp sponge. I also have one of their cream blushes, which is really pigmented, and a highlighter, which is almost a duochrome. Impressed with the quality for the price!

I've only tried the liquid blushes and the contour. Make sure you shake them up before applying. When I didnt shake them they removed my foundation. I love the blushes but I'm still on the fence about the contour.

I make that sheet pan meal as well and throw on some Pierogies for the side. So good cause they get crunchy on the edges, *chef's kiss. The new Wendy's fries are sooo good and I agree they also have the best nuggets and best honey mustard.

I just made my first order from sheglam! I got some of the color samples of the foundation so I can get the right color, also got the dual powder and eyeliner and some brushes! I really want to try those bronzer and blushes EVERYONE raves about them but I have a few liquid and cream bronzer and blushes I need to use up first. I'm trying to be more mindful of my makeup purchases this year! This look came out great!!!!
