We make a final trip back to Montreal to help our oldest child move out of the apartment our family lived in for 9 years and to bring the last of our stuff to Nova Scotia, including our washer & dryer.
My dad installs our clothesline, and I spend most of the video talking to you from that clothesline about the happenings in our lives. I also talk about my clothesline/line drying history and how excited I am to use this line during the warmer months and my heavy-duty wooden racks during the winter months.
    It's all about the clothesline!
Into the way back machine, when my kids were little and we hung all our laundry:

Hi Renee, glad you rounded out your daughters' story. The Mum in me was wondering how that all shaped up! I love the videos. I messaged you years ago to let you know that your insta posts from your Mom's place during lockdowns kept my English heart happy, so it's great that you are diarying your return. Looking forward to your next video.

You're welcome. And thanks for watching! My mum's heart also wondering how it was all going to transpire. I write a little bit about that in this blog post. renee.tougas.net/blog/clothesline-episode-youtube-video-living-my-best-summer-life/ when I say, "The grief of leaving the kids is gone. (Am I allowed to say that?) The worry and anxiety about how we were going to pull this all off, gone. The emotional, mental and relational fatigue of the last couple months, also gone.
All the questions of “how will this work?”, right down to details like “where will be park the truck and trailer when moving Ciel into their new apartment?” have been answered."

Thanks so much for bringing this to everyone's attention. It's very useful advice. For some of my towels, especially kitchen napkins, teatowels, and hand towels, and always tableclothes, I purposely hang on a center line because this is where I want to crease to form. (I'm a little particular that way). For big fluffy towels, end hangs are sometimes required for the towel to get really dry. thanks again for adding this!

How far from the ocean are you? I was supposed to take a trip to the Atlantic on Monday but my son was driving and he got covid so the trip is canceled

sorry to hear about your son's illness, that sucks! We're a 10 min drive from ocean beaches. We live on an estuary so we're very close to open ocean, as well as many islands, inlets, etc.
