Writer-director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life. In Gerwig’s take, the beloved story of the March sisters - four young women each determined to live life on her own terms -- is both timeless and timely. Portraying Jo, Meg, Amy, and Beth March, the film stars Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Florence Pugh, Eliza Scanlen, with Timothée Chalamet as their neighbor Laurie, Laura Dern as Marmee, and Meryl Streep as Aunt March.

Emotional damage 😂😂😢
the "it's fine" is such a relatable line here. it's not fine. he's trying to mask his pain so hard and it comes through
"it's fine" like a habit of mind when i have to think about anything about her, which is not fine at all. So when we have to embody our thoughts, we say it indeliberately
In this case, I feel like he REALLY meant “it was fine” because he DID actually want to do it for HER but I feel like it has this “it’s fine so long as it’s worth it and we get to end up together” but even if they didn’t, he would have done it out of love and as a sacrifice for his love so in the end it really was “fine” because it was done out of love. My view anyways
Ah, codependency
Sometimes you ladies have no idea how hard we men have to fight and hold back tears with you refuse us and don't love us back or respect us enough to at least say something worth hearing. We give up sleep for you, we protect you with our lives, we choose to live in pain forever and give up everything we need to in order to win you over, and even still that's not enough. That's why we men are tired. Even more tired than you women...because we have been fighting so long and so hard that we feel sometimes it's for nothing. We're never gonna be good enough for you anyway. We give up almost everything just so you ladies can have your way. And sometimes we can't even get anything in return. Love is definitely NOT a fair game... and men are the losers alot more often than the women are. You just don't know how bad we hurt because men are taught "don't cry, don't show them you're weak. Instead, bleed and show them how much pain you can take".
@@nrsunlimited don't ruin the moment with your gender wars. It has nothing to do with gender. Cause men are also the same ones who wants to sleep with many women as they can cause they think they are some alpha chads for doing so. You just went yapping and projecting. Women and men are same when it comes to their real genuine love not getting reciprocated. It hurts the same for both of them.
He's an incredible actor. You can tell he loves his craft.
Yeah I'd love being an actress in Hollywood even though I'd be someone totally unknown cause most actors/actresses don't get fame like Timothée or Saoirse while in my country it's quite pain.... most of time you see movie like comedies or romantic comedies or classic plays at your local theatres. People say Laurie didn’t deserve Amy, but you can love multiple in your lifetime. Laurie loved Jo, but she didn’t love him back. He matured, he got over her, and he fell in love with Amy. She wasn’t a second choice or a rebound. She became the love of his life so he married her, no ulterior motives.
Exactly, it’s not like it happened overnight. In the book it was like two YEARS later or something. That’s plenty of time
Also this “nice guy” doesn’t deserve anyone, the man who courts Amy does so because of who she is. If anything I’d say Jo was the one he never really loved (or knew)
THANK YOU❤
Is not who you end up with first is who you end up with last and she did not deserve his I'm glad he end up Amy

You know...no matter how much someone loves you, one should never feel forced or obliged to love them back. 💫
He just wanted closure, it's clear. Come on.
He even said "give me an answer". Even if it's him trying to get with her, he's just hurting. Why? Because he loves someone, whom clearly doesn't love him back. Sympathy, please...
But if the person decides to love back
It could be a life time beauty it could

He didn’t deserve Amy if he loved Jo first. Amy only loved him and he didn’t. Until Jo turned him down then he went running to Amy. Not fair to Amy.
You realize that years had passed and that Amy and Laurie also grew as people, right?
So they both changed and matured, Laurie found that even though he had a crush on Jo that it was Amy who really understood and appreciated him and that she was what he wanted in a wife as well.
Amy had a crush on Laurie from childhood. And he had loved Jo since when they met. He couldn't notice Amy's affection because he was so focused on Jo. But as time passed and Jo rejected him,he and Amy spend a lot of time together. Laurie started liking Amy then Amy confessed. He never went running to Amy. They both got enough time to sort their feelings out.
@@isabelalzateestradaI agree Amy was the perfect wife for Laurie. But I think Jo appreciated and understood Laurie too, more than Laurie understood her. She loved him as well just not romantically. She wanted him to grow and achieve things too. They were both so similar and wild. I guess Jo thought if they get together their relationship would be chaotic.
@@madhu_mita true but Laurie never really understood Jo’s passion as a writer and tried to change her in certain ways to fit the idealized image that he had of her. It turned out that Amy was closer to that image than Jo was and Jo was someone who was more of an intellectual than Laurie ever was which is why she needed up with Professor Bhaer.
This is truly heart-wrenching... Jo couldn't love Laurie the way he wanted her to. She had the kind of love for him which was perhaps love in its purest form. Laurie was too young to understand that but later he realised it. Amy was better suited for the kind of love he was looking for.

@@ivankadebeljak3957the character was based on the author, who never married, and often talked about wishing she was a man. I don't think she ever felt attracted to men in that way.
@@naturallyamused intresting tho in the movie jo did have some second toughts
She always loved him.. just not in the way he wanted
Jo loved Laurie but as a friend not as a lover I watched both little women in this movie and little women 2 in a cartoon series. Jo is attracted to someone more intellectual than her. Laurie came from a rich family but he's never someone Jo can have an intelligent conversation with though he never bored her because of his fun personality. But Jo has a high standard when it comes to intellect. She's an independent woman in her time. That's the reason she married a professor. They run a school together in little women 2. In the cartoon series Jo fell more in love with her husband because of his wisdom which she admired so much about him. Her husband became her best friend as he would always give her sound advice and always support her in their challenging times being teachers and school administrators. They managed those tough times together while building a family of their own. She has so much character development with her husband, who was the guy that she kissed at the train station.

Damn. The way he delivered the lines.
Seriously, just packed with emotion.

This scene was the most heartbreaking one fr. I really wanted them together.😭😭
I hated that Amy ended up with him. She deserved someone who truly loved her and not be someone’s rebound 😒
It's was yrs later. Not a rebound
Y'all are rebounders. Think about it
Dude, if she was only a rebound, then Laurie should have had a change of heart when he met Jo years later, he should have dumped Amy and married Jo (Because obviously, if it was only a rebound, the love wouldn't have been strong) and yet, he looked so happy announcing his marriage with Amy. Years passed ever since Jo rejected Laurie, he spend time with Amy long enough for them to friends and eventually, that's it, Laurie fell for her.
He did love her.
Initially when I watched the film, I was a teen and I thought the same..Why r some ppl nothing but just a second option? But then later I got the film right and I think Amy was right to accept Laurie, Laurie did have a change of heart, he started truely falling for Amy and I think they r the right match if not the perfect match🤍
I absolutely love his voice. He's tremendously expressive ❤
Just the rawness and look and feel of the video makes it somewhat nostalgic. Something out of a 2000s video. And I love the rawness of the guitar and vocals, simply shows how well their vocals are without a microphone and mixing.
Awesome song you guys.
