Ibn al-Arabi believes in monotheism and therefore there is no one in existence except God. His idea in explaining the worlds is to explain how images appear on the stage of existence and how they vary. He does not believe in unity because in his view there are no two parties to unite. You yourself are his image and you can liken it like a drop in the endless sea.
