    why is delta l considered to be soon small,what if we heat the substance to a high temperature

      I imagine that most substances would begin to melt or degrade before the change in area from thermal expansion would become that significant.

    hi, what if the area is rectangle and not square?
    i tried to get the final equation with no success...
    maybe some real experiment to just take it for granted!

      You should be able to get a similar result using a rectangle instead of a square. A square just makes it easier.

    why you make delta L is zero what you make if the tempereture becomes very high , delta L is not become what you say

      Not delta L, but delta L squared. Since delta L is small, delta L squared is so small that we can ignore it.
