1:00 minute in and heart pounding! Salt and baking soda will put out grease fires if an extinguisher isn't handy. Please keep cheap salt and/ or baking soda in cabinet next to the stove.

Omg you are lucky that this gas bottle didn't blow up 😵 gas grills are dangerous 😮 it's good to always have powder fire extinguisher close by. Love you all!

As for me this video was frustrating. I'm a firefighter, yelling at the screen doesn't help put out fire. I'm glad you got it out and can laugh about it. You did everything correctly.

You should clean the drip pan after every use. I wrap mine in foil for easier cleanup.

There has been so many houses burnt down because they have their grills next to their houses. Some people only have small apartments so they have to be extra care full.

I've found that it's always a good idea to trim the fat on pork chops and keep a close eye on them when grilling. You probably should have pulled them off instead of putting them in the upper rack and closing the lid again, it was already going pretty good then. Live and learn.
Very glad that it didn't escalate into a house fire, that would have been tragic. Might be a good thought to come up with a grilling patio away from the house, it's a scary thing to contemplate what could have happened. Glad that it turned out ok and that you can laugh at it instead of the alternative.

Definitely get a small fire extinguisher for the grill. Try "Barkeeper's Friend" cleaner for the stainless steel.

We had a roast pork set on fire like that 14 years ago. Mr 17 was visiting us and decided to try some anyway. Mr 17 said it was the best roast he'd eaten. It was indeed the best. The fire had given it a great smokey flavour - good smokey not bad smokey.

The fire stoped me in my tracks. Woke up this morning and want to thank you for showing us what a barbecue could do when set up close to our house. We will never use ours again until it's pulled away from the house. Also we're going to get a longer hose so we can pull out our propane tank from underneath the barbecue prior to cooking so the gas can quickly and safely be turned off at the source. IT is so good to be able to learn from someone elses experience. Again so happy that it turned out o.k. at your home.
