  • The owners of Ti Trin Ned, restaurant manager Mette Hvarre Gassner and chef de cuisine Rainer Gassner, have since 2001 been the motivating forces of Ti Trin Ned, one of the first Danish restaurants outside Copenhagen and Aarhus to receive the much-coveted Michelin star in 2017. For +15 years the restaurant has been situated in old, historical and not very functional buildings - and in connection with moving to a new venue at the attractive, new waterfront of Fredericia, the couple invested all their professional know-how in building the perfect restaurant and a kitchen - aiming at taking functionality to a completely new level.
By focusing on all details, they strived to melt together every single element of the interior to an all-new guest experience - and at the same time create a set-up for the workflow and the creative atmosphere by focusing on
functionality, a minimum of maintenance and a high degree of durability. During the building and design process, Mette & Rainer Gassner became acquainted with Dekton® for the first time and were fascinated by the flexibility that the surface offers. Contrary to many other surfaces, it withstands the quite rough handling of extremely hot pots and pans, sharp metal tools and the many very different ingredients.
