Oversized_ twinki there’s plenty of ways to do that ! I’ve personally kept a lot of my supplies inside a dresser- and you can make mini/travel alters in stuff like a shoebox or mint tin. Some stuff isn’t too suspicious to have in the open either, like crystals and candles.. hope this helps :)

as a Native American woman, I’m glad I grew up with sage lol I can’t imagine what someone who’s not used to it thinks of it 🤣
I'm not used to it since it's not part of my culture and I think it's cool when I first used it.

@@g0thangelsinner341 I'm not indigenous, but based on observations, sage is fine to use as long as it is NOT WHITE SAGE
@@ruffledsocks7486 Why not use white sage? I hope it's not bad because I grow white sage in my garden and make smudge sticks to cleanse my space before performing any craft.
WackoTaco it’s best to use other types of sage because white sage has been over harvested and is endangered now. If you’re growing it in your own garden I’d personally see no issue, and yay for you growing sage! Did you start from seed or buy plants?
I love you alter, I store my moon/rain water somewhere dark and away from my salt lamp. Also be careful with salt lamps with cats, I hate smell of sage too!!’ Well sorry the smell of sage smugers. I prefer rosemary and such. Remember baby witches you don’t have to spend a lot of money on things and don’t have to get lots of things from Etsy and such, the most powerful items can be the things you make yourself .

Because you don’t like the smell of sage, you can make a sage spray alternative to use around your house or room as well! For a non alcoholic sage spray you can use sage oil (or your sage leaves), distilled water and witch hazel (put anything you make with essential oils in dark tinted glass to stop sun from hitting the oil). The sage alternative that I use is : charged water (of your choice, i use moon water) sea salt, sage leaves and rosemary. I soak my herbs in my moon water overnight and charge a small quartz that’ll fit in a glass bottle in the moon as well and then place all of it (including the herbs) into my spray bottle:)!

Same I'm a boy and my mom is to and she's like that I devil stuff so I use my pendulum and sometimes light candles for my ancestors and insence

I'm going off the assumption that you have doable relationships with your parents, and/or that they at least care for your wellbeing, but I am aware there are people who aren't that lucky. Now that I've made it so my foot won't taste too bad if I happen to eat it...
Your parents do care, and they want what's best for you, even if they have uh, interesting ideas of what constitutes an inherently dangerous activity (insert public service announcement about being careful with lit candles and incense here because I need to at least pretend to be a responsible adult). You've all already figured out the freedom of practice you'll have once you've got your own roofs, but restriction can sometimes breed creativity, and there are many things you can take the opportunity to learn, figure out, and/or make before you have to start paying your own bills, working, etc.
This from a 37yr old witch. :)
Please listen to your parents and accept Jesus Christ as your savior when you open this window of witchcraft only he can save you from the demons and spirits that will start to follow you. GOD BLESS
I love that you have your lizard's shedding on your altar. As a child, I had a "lucky snakeskin" that I found in a field. I kept in my treasure box.

A little tip about the candles, you should always let them burn so long that either the whole wax is liquid (tea lights) or that the surface is completely liquid otherwise they will not burn properly and you have a lot of wax that you can throw away or to a new one candle can melt
Red candles are for love/passion, white are for any color. Many cover them in herbs of all kinds that have their own meaning.
And a plus is that they're gorgeous. It also makes the dishwater smell wonderful when you wash the dish you did it over/in.
Amethyst is my favorite crystal as well.

My husband has lung issues so I can't burn a lot of incense when he's home but I found a couple videos on sage cleansing spray and it's worked great!

I got my wand in Salem and it was an amazing experience because my parents know I love unicorns and so they showed me a bunch of unicorn horn wands but I was drawn to a plain black wand and that’s my wand still to this day
You candle on each side is usually for the god and goddesd doesnt matter if ur not working with a deity or wiccan most still do it one side masculine one feminine ying and yang as a sign of respect

Knowing I'm commenting this on this specific channel with about 200 thousand beautiful,beautiful witches, I don't think I'll sound as crazy saying this, but I very strongly beleive that I am an actual witch. I can't describe to you how much I really believe it, some people say I'm too old to beleive in this type of stuff, some say it is a phase, and then there are the people who support me on my journey to become the best witch I am capable to being! Thank you to those people, it's amazing to know that I am not alone and their are probably over 1BILLION people in the world who, too, beleive that they are simethung "other worldly" and magical.
hey! no hate, just an attempt at education for everyone here! smudging, using palo santo, and white sage is cultural appropriation. as an indigenous woc, i don’t mind if you find and use ethically sourced sage or grow it yourself and call it cleansing instead of smudging but i’d be careful talking about these things without acknowledging the appropriation.

I’ve been setting up my altar on my desk whenever I need to use it. My desk is where I work - I have stressed and cried a lot over school work here. Do you think setting up my altar there is a bad idea due to the negative energy surrounding my desk? Or would it, on the other hand, influence my desk space and make the energy more positive?
I’m thinking of putting up shelves and if I do then I’ll put my altar there for sure. But I keep all my crystals in a drawer in my desk and then I wouldn’t know where to put them lol!
hi i know you commented this a while ago but you could for sure use your desk, i’d recommend cleansing your area if you feel there is negative energy in that area then that would be fine! blessed be :)
Yessss, I have made my desk/ make up vanity my little altar. Its very peaceful & calming sitting in front of it when I’m doing my everyday facial routines & doing my makeup or removving it.
