I think getting comics in beat up condition is the way to go - you can always try to find them in better condition later. I have one or two comics in this series but would love to have more. That swamp creature has a swampy loin cloth. These books are really nice - story and art.

The swamp creatures were around Theodore Sturgeon's It the Heap Solomon Grundy and there were probably more. Golden age comics were ahead of the game.

This is the sh$&--t😂❤is this character possibly the inspiration for man thing and swamp thing?! I've never read this one. I know an earlier character named the ' heap' was supposedly, but a fear eater sounds like man thing.

I checked, both Swamp Thing and Man Thing were created in 1971. This Charlton thing was published in 1976. The Heap was from Golden age, created in 1942. The Heap fell into public domain, making it easier for many swamp monsters be made.
