I run an mbrp race can on my yammi 2 stroke triple and the sounds is amazing! 12lbs of weight doesn't hurt either. With any straight though packed muffler with a perforated center core it will get quieter as the material soaks up some of the exhaust product and increases its noise dampening.

Was expecting him to talk about the sled not be a salesman for mbrp

Sound levels at idle or 4000rpm is rather irrelevant. Isnt dB at WOT what really matters?
In my mind its at full throttle you really annoy people. And honestly, how many of all the people with modified sleds can keep from revving 8000+ more than a minute at a time :D
In Scandinavia we are really trying hard to keep our trails, free riding areas and mountains open. Majority of snow mobilers is now trying hard to keep noice at a minimum to not irritate crosscountry skiers and people who actually live near a trail or a riding area.
It may be different circumstances in North America, but I cant imagine increased noice makes haters hate less...
BTW it would be nice with a "independent" dyno test where you test before/after this install. And at the same time you could measure dB:s at different rpm:s (including WOT). That is what I as a customer would be interested in. Not just a journalist reading from a brochure.
Anyhow I still like your channel, keep up the good work!

My question is why is a few pounds soooooooo important? Throw a lunch bag for a picnic on the back and there goes the last $1000 you just spent to lose that last few pounds.

Dude just ditch the electric start by yourself which will drop 15-25 pounds and sell it and for loosening weight your marking money. Then by a can and loose 10-15 pounds. Easy weight savings for a little money

AJ, don't you have to re-map the exhaust or engine? I know people that actually lose mph's by installing a can....

Beautiful sled. I don't know why you'd throw a can on it. A can hardly increases performance and does more harm than anything lol. You guys were better off installing an SLP pipe kit. For $700 you could have cut, 14.5lbs off the sled and added 9hp lol but it's your sled, you do what you want. I just think cans are a waste of money

+Luke Hurley Well, it's pretty obvious MBRP bought this "ad" from Snowtrax... I agree, waste of money.

Lightening a sled is pretty irrelevant. My Dr would love it if I took about 40 lbs off of mine. (just above the seat to be exact)
