I see "sahlo folina" as a call of help, from creativity, or others, or his "all Ohio fans", probably all, and this just represents it so well, I can just imagine the imagery of the echos, of the petals, falling as the drums and helping him get through this, the voices going higher... then all just leading to a perfect "drop" and just crazy petals, him thriving and getting through perhaps? I may be looking into this too much, but this is just my own meaning combined with what Tyler may have meant... this is just an amazing song.
You're pretty much spot on with that explanation. The concept of the Bishops dragging you back after having been saved is something that has actually existed for a while in Twenty One Pilots lore, but also entangles itself with the concept of being saved as just a dream (such as the wars waging inside his head during the nighttime, and also Tyler saying "What if my dream does not happen" in WDBWOTV). However, in the context of Trench, I do think this is him calling out for real. To see the torches light up from his fellow Banditos. It's something so beautiful, especially when you apply it to your own life. P.S., that synth noise your hear is in the left headphone.
So, it's been over 2 years since Trench came out. That album is a masterpiece. This song is a piece of art on its own. It still makes me cry every time. It brings good and bad memories. The softest echo could be enough for me to make it through
Folina
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo Folina
I created this world
To feel some control
Destroy it if I want
So I sing someone
Folina
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
(Sahlo) I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low (low, low)
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I created this world
To feel some control
Destroy it if I want
So I sing
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo Folina
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
This is the sound we make
When in between two places
Where we used to bleed
And where our blood needs to be
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
In city, I feel my spirit is contained
Like neon inside the glass, they form my brain
But I recently discovered
It's a heatless fire
Like nicknames they give themselves to uninspire
Begin with bullet, now add fire to the proof
But I'm still not sure if fear's a rival or close relative to truth
Either way it helps to hear these words bounce off of you
The softest echo could be enough for me to make it through
Folina
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo Folina
I created this world
To feel some control
Destroy it if I want
So I sing someone
Folina
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
(Sahlo) I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low (low, low)
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I could take the high road
But I know that I'm going low
I'm a ban, I'm a bandito
I created this world
To feel some control
Destroy it if I want
So I sing
Sahlo Folina
Sahlo Folina
(Any y’all still need the lyrics?))
