- On March 1, 2022, Russia launched a series of airstrikes on the Kyiv TV tower. This military attack was not strategically decisive nor the deadliest one. However, its symbolic significance is hard to underestimate: the strikes targeted Ukrainian communication infrastructure and landed in the vicinity of Babyn Yar, where one of the worst massacres of the Holocaust took place.
The Ukrainian group Center for Spatial Technologies and Forensic Architecture gathered dozens of videos, maps and archival materials in order to study how these strikes hit not only media and communication networks but, a tangled nervous system of historical references and repressed memories.
Our analysis records civilian deaths and the destruction brought about by the Russian strikes at the Kyiv TV tower. It also addresses the history of violence and genocide that occurred on this very land before, buried under layers of earth, and of negation.

Wow, a great spatial investigation! Thank you for working on this and please keep doing them!
It'd be great to learn more about the projectiles characteristics and possible firing locations. And it's great that you give the historical analysis and parallels. Again, thank you for a great work.
Absolutely incredible! Thank you so much for doing these videos in English also. 👍😁
