    "The system makes you feel helpless" resonates with me. It is actually how I am feeling now. Thank you Melanie for sharing and motivating us

    Glad to have found your page Dr.Cissy! This is a helpful conversation. There's quite a lot to contemplate for me as an intern pharmacist right now.

    Thanks Cissy and Melanie! I am not a doctor but this conversation was so relatable since I am at a crossroad in my engineering career. A lot of confusion, with a sprinkle of imposter syndrome. This has helped! Thanks ladies!

    • @drcissyatwine
      @drcissyatwine  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      ah.. a crossroad moment.. the more i talk to people the more it sounds more of the norm to have such moments than not.. i cant imagine a linear career with no moments of wondering which way to go (especially if you have to decide yourself and not just doing what everyone else says)

    • @psnk490
      @psnk490 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Very true! I also understand the part of not having a typical or mainstream path in a career and feeling some inadequacy from not practicing your profession the way most people do or forgetting those core things. I have slowly realised someone has to play the “atypical” roles too and if it works for me, why not?! 🤷🏾‍♀️

      exactly its not easy being special😍😂 it would be easier to just do whatever is expected but that's not what's on your heart.. i saw a quote earlier saying whatever can be imagined is possible.. so whatever it is in your mind.. is definitely possbile.. dream big 😄@@psnk490

    Thank you ladies for the wonderful video. In Zambia, there is this competition to do MPH, so doctors are doing both simultaneously, you do your Mmed speciality of choice, then enroll for an online MPH, its quite affordable.

    Our public health lecturer always boasted saying, public health specialists close the tap, while the rest of Dr's mop the floor😂😂 That's a simple way of defining public health.

    I think since in Switzerland, since you are not really on a path to settlement, people are a bit relaxed. In the UK, there is this constant fear of affecting ILR😂😂 people are not soo relaxed.

    • @drcissyatwine
      @drcissyatwine  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hahaha yes but we even have a clear route to ILR which they dont have in switzerland.. thats one pro for starting out in the UK
