The cop did not PASS at all. Instead of going in and telling them in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that you can film and take pictures of ANYTHING you can see from public, INCLUDING THEM, THEIR FAMILIES, THEIR CARS ETC ETC, he comes out and says "They'll leave you alone AS LONG AS YOU AREN'T TAKING PICTURES OF PEOPLE COMING AND GOING" etc. and follows that up with "When you are taking pictures or recording people without their permission that's not OK either Yes it IS OK, and he just basically told them it was OK to come out to harass and (try to) intimidate you if you took any pics of people coming and going. When they whined to him about you filming them personally, and said they weren't going to put up with it, he SHOULD have set them straight right away by telling them you were within your rights to do so and any acts of aggression towards you or your property could get them arrested for assault He didn't How the fuck is that a pass?
Ted Smith he needs to sue him and take the video to the district attorney to have assault charges pressed and to the local news so they don’t just brush it off.
And the oath they took specifically states that they "swear or affirm to SUPPORT and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC"....I know, I took virtually the same oath as a commissioned officer in the US Army.
That E-6 needs to get busted down to corporal acting like that. It was one of the things that always bothered me when I was active duty. Nco’s are too used to telling people below them what to do, and hear no objections one way of the other. When they try that shit with civilians, they lose their damn minds.
Apparently that sergeant doesn't understand the oath he swore, or how much he is disgracing his uniform. Because by his words and deeds, he is a domestic enemy of the Constitution.
Jim New there are their called California Highway Patrol Officers lots of good men in that agency The academy weeds out the weak and the bad but a very few bad people get by
Truth is most of these army folks lives started out- Well I can't do that, I don't know how to do that and I don't want to learn how to do that. Army it is! Dur Dur Merica.
As a 20 year retired US Army Non Commissioned Officer I would like to apologize for SSG Roberts threatening you...Also to SSG Roberts.....for being outside without your cover (hat) YOU WILL work this Saturday and Sunday and never interfere with a Citizen in the United States of America exercising their Constitutional rights again......You're dismissed! Hey First Amendment Test...like your style...just subbed...stay safe!
If I was Staff Sgt Roberts' supervisor, NUMBER 1, HE'D BE ON THE WEIGHT PROGRAM IF HE ISN'T ON IT ALREADY, AND NUMBER 2, I'D HAVE HIS ASS SIDEWAYS ON A STANCHION FOR WALKING AROUND OUTSIDE LIKE MR MILITARY POLICE WITHOUT HIS "COVER" ON!!!
That's is seriously what was bothering me the most... but hey... it is the guard... what do you really expect for those weekend warriors... lol and mad props to the CHP officer for knowing and enforcing the laws we rightfully deserve.
I spent 20 years in the Army, about half of that in the Army National Guard. The two Sergeants who approached you should be counseled by their command for a host of reasons. First and foremost - they are NOT authorized to make up so-called policy as they go, and they sure as hell are NOT authorized to imply threats, try to man-handle a civilian or lay their hands on someone else or their property (camera). Beyond that, while in uniform, the standards among other things are, you don't speak to ANYONE who is filming without prior authorization, that's the responsibility of the Public Affairs Office, NOT some yokel corn fed excuse for a Staff Sergeant who not only doesn't give a shit about his uniform enough to wear it properly, as in a cover (hat to you civilian types) or pass an APFT or tape (physical fitness test or weight standards) in the last 10 years. On behalf of all Army National Guardsman who actually DO believe and defend the Constitution, please accept my sincere apology for their stupidity. Hopefully their First Sergeant and Company Commander are not as jacked up as they obviously were, and straightened them out fast, quick, and in a hurry. SSG U.S. Army (Retired, medically) Combat Infantry / Sniper, multiple combat tours.
Good police work, no pushing or escalating the situation, just a calm officer, who knows the law and is able to keep the peace by explaining it to all parties. An absolute credit to the uniform. His kids have every right to be proud of him
I'm a vet. I would have told him to mind his own business and next time when he speaks for the Army, he should get clearance from public affairs. Guess he forgot his training.
Sam Sabet's Video's You are a veterinarian! That's cool! I'm glad that someone here actually contributes to the economy. Most people commenting here are military mooches, or as I like to call them, faggots.
And you know Maunster hasn't served, how? I think you may be confusing him with The Orange Shitgibbon at The White House (we all know HE didn't serve - on account of his poor spurs).
Now that was a professional response by the police officer. I don't believe in purposely inciting confrontation but I believe the military representatives were just trying to bully instead of resolving their concerns in a respectful manner.
I remember watching this way back, it is so despicable that anyone from the U.S. military would try to violate an American citizen's Constitutional rights.
SSG Roberts comes out of the building, stands directly in front of a guy with a camera, and says “don’t point that camera at me”. DUNCE! Go back inside if you don’t want to be recorded. While you’re at it, grab your cover, you’re out of uniform. Now drop and give me twenty! (He’d have to drop 20 pounds first)
As a retired, disabled Army vet with 30+ yrs of service, I am embarrassed by these "soldiers" and the condition of their uniforms. Where is their cover (head gear)? How in the Hell do they pass any PT (physical training) tests? It disgusts me that these over-weight, ignorant maggots misrepresent the service I dedicated my life to. Why aren't these two-legged bovines on some sort of weight-control program? Who is their commander? their first-sergeant? If this is the new Army, God help us.
Staff SARGENT needs to lose about 200 pounds. And he is out of uniform with no COVER or HAT on. He looks almost 6 years old anyway. And he did take an oath to defend the constitution of the U.S. ! When he said he did not care about the law, he should have been Court Martialed out of the National Gaurd. But never mind he is in Gray Davis national Gaurd. Hehe.
I have written permission from James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Benjimin Franklin and a host of people that framed the constitution. Also the Supreme Court of the United States.
"You're not in public"....."it's state property"......oh gawd, I help pay his salary....how embarrassing to be in any way associated with these clowns.
It never ceases to amaze me how many people come up close to a photographer to complain loudly that they dont want to be filmed. If you dont want to be filmed stay away from the camera. Duh!
Sgt needs to be on a diet. This is what we want defending our beloved country? Damn, and I'm retired AIR FORCE! They're both a disgrace to the uniform as they're obviously overweight and uniforms out of regs. Not to mention grabbing the camera....
the point of the audit is to restate our rights and obviously idiots dont understand those rights, this is a service to us all no matter the reason by anyone who chooses to excercise those rights
and sit-ups. A fat military. A stupid and fat police force. A corrupt court system. An over-paid/underworked, fat, lazy and retarded staff at every USPS. Time to move to Russia.
Literally people get mad at you but look at what this guy says “it’s none of your business” “I don’t care about the laws”. These are the people we are suppose to respect?
+amon craft national guard soldiers were deployed in tha middle East idk if it was Iraq or Afghanistan but they do and did fight for this country and deserve tha same respect... unless they like that bald asshole who don't deserve that uniform in tha first place
Stump Carver They didn't fight for this country, they fought for the corporate greed that has embedded it's self in American politics. Patriotism has blinded people from who the real enemy is, and that's the corporations and international business men who wish to use governments like paid mercenaries.
cevaiom Wow, you have no idea what embedded means. Our economy is boosted by corporations, if the corporations decided to leave our economy goes to shit, so yea corporations do have some control over a government without having to hire lobbyists. It's not much control, but it is still control none the less. Those who run our government are a part of the problem, but the government itself is not the problem. A government is nothing more than an idea without those that run a government. Saying the government is the problem, is just a generalization of the problem.
Got to admit the sargent wasn't very happy with you and now hates you after the cop told them you had every right to film.....The more I see of these incidents, the more I am of the belief that those in uniform seem to leave common sense behind.... And as an American, I am ashamed how they act towards the very people they are sworn to protect and serve.
It's always refreshing to see a cop that knows his laws and is very respectable.
The cop did not PASS at all.
Instead of going in and telling them in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that you can film and take pictures of ANYTHING you can see from public, INCLUDING THEM, THEIR FAMILIES, THEIR CARS ETC ETC, he comes out and says "They'll leave you alone AS LONG AS YOU AREN'T TAKING PICTURES OF PEOPLE COMING AND GOING" etc. and follows that up with "When you are taking pictures or recording people without their permission that's not OK either
Yes it IS OK, and he just basically told them it was OK to come out to harass and (try to) intimidate you if you took any pics of people coming and going.
When they whined to him about you filming them personally, and said they weren't going to put up with it, he SHOULD have set them straight right away by telling them you were within your rights to do so and any acts of aggression towards you or your property could get them arrested for assault
He didn't
How the fuck is that a pass?
hang3xc1 EXACTLY!!!
lets give props to the officer who agreed 100% and didnt need the law cited to him and was pretty cool
Steve Sites
Good cops need props
As a veteran of the Womans Army Corp, those "soldiers" are an embarrassment to the uniform both in attitude and especially in appearance.
A reasonable cop who respects the law! Amazing.
2:06 "I don't care about the laws"......lmfao. At least he was honest. Most cops and other government employees lie.
Glad to see an American cop with such a professional attitude and fast understanding of the case.
As a retired soldier, I am embarrassed by that so called NCO. I hope the CO see's this video.
The Cop did His job and did it well. Very rare these days.
456swagger I wish it was a thousand police officers like that then I wouldn't hate them so much
police officer handled that perfectly
Thank you for educating our public servants. It benefits us ALL when everyone is aware of our Constitutional laws.
DUDE I've been stopped by this officer. Hella chill guy.
We need more official like him.
When I saw that Sgt lumbering at you I thought "Oh-oh. Here comes the brains of the outfit."
Ted Smith he needs to sue him and take the video to the district attorney to have assault charges pressed and to the local news so they don’t just brush it off.
3:07 "I don't want to be on your pictures". Those gosh darn moving pictures will bring Lucifer into your life. Just as will rock n roll and fast food.
Using terrorism as an excuse to not respect and follow your citizens rights won't end well america 🙂
That CHP Officer. Thank you for doing your job correctly.
extremely respectable CHP officer.
Appears as if the CHP has a better PT program than those military gentleman.
They are not military...they are "nasty guardsmen"
And the oath they took specifically states that they "swear or affirm to SUPPORT and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC"....I know, I took virtually the same oath as a commissioned officer in the US Army.
Criminals hate cameras
How is he a sgt in the Army? He doesn’t meet the WEIGHT and body fat requirements.
Joeys Bestfriend he's a tank
He's National Guard.
The cop knew the law, upheld the law, and was cool. Kudos to him--not enough like him in uniform.
The camera usually brings that out in them
That E-6 needs to get busted down to corporal acting like that. It was one of the things that always bothered me when I was active duty. Nco’s are too used to telling people below them what to do, and hear no objections one way of the other. When they try that shit with civilians, they lose their damn minds.
Where the fuck is your cover ssgt
Best Highway Patrol Officer
I have seen in this type of video. A true professional.
Apparently that sergeant doesn't understand the oath he swore, or how much he is disgracing his uniform. Because by his words and deeds, he is a domestic enemy of the Constitution.
Finally a pleasant police officer that does his job properly...
Wow the CHP officer new the constitution, and was very polite dealing with the situation. I wish there were a lot more like him.
Jim New there are their called California Highway Patrol Officers
lots of good men in that agency
The academy weeds out the weak and the bad but a very few bad people get by
That SSgt should be put in "The Fat Boy Program", if he is still in the U.S. Army.
It's always sad to see our military trying to violate peoples rights now. Any time one does he should be kicked out of the service permanently.
Truth is most of these army folks lives started out- Well I can't do that, I don't know how to do that and I don't want to learn how to do that. Army it is! Dur Dur Merica.
"You can't take photos without someone knowing about it?" "Well you know about it, so be on your way, thank you."
Ladies and gentlemen. Combat readiness at its finest. Dude needs to retire.
Salute!
That's is seriously what was bothering me the most... but hey... it is the guard... what do you really expect for those weekend warriors... lol and mad props to the CHP officer for knowing and enforcing the laws we rightfully
deserve.
Sgt Schultz from Hogan's Heroes...lol

Roberts an E-6 SSG no cover and no visible rank on BDU. Out of uniform, my deepest apologies America.
Overweight and over 40 years-old...and he's STILL a sergeant. Kinda tells you everything right there.
Isn't a sergeant (and I know there is staff, first class, master, etc) the highest an enlisted guy can go?
If legal recording makes them uncomfortable then they are unfit for service since they'd run away like little girls when faced with danger.
How could you say that if you've never served?
And you know Maunster hasn't served, how? I think you may be confusing him with The Orange Shitgibbon at The White House (we all know HE didn't serve - on account of his poor spurs).
That CHP officer was an absolute PROFESSIONAL and deserves credit for how he responded to this situation!
She said the CHP officer, not the SSG.
Now that was a professional response by the police officer. I don't believe in purposely inciting confrontation but I believe the military representatives were just trying to bully instead of resolving their concerns in a respectful manner.
Thumps up for the Officer Gorenec. A Star for real.
If you dont wont on video dont walk. Up to it....
I remember watching this way back, it is so despicable that anyone from the U.S. military would try to violate an American citizen's Constitutional rights.
best cop I have seen on here for a long time
This is how a real cop should approach any citizen. Great job.
Best police officer I've seen out of 100s of videos. I'd like to buy him a beer!
Go ahead :)
This guy is an embarrassment to the uniform.
"Whether I did or I didnt I wouldnt be wearing the uniform." WRONG, Staff Sargeant, if you dont take the oath, you CANT wear the uniform.
(He’d have to drop 20 pounds first)
He must be a private lol!!!!
Maybe he could assume the position and perhaps lift his chin an inch off the ground twice
That is one old ass SSG/E-6. He looks like he should of been retired by now.
He is just misguided he still has decided to defend all of us and for that I do give respect
The Sergeant has to be a reservist; overweight, out of uniform (no head cover) and generally sloppy appearance.
It is very sad that they fight for the rights that we have but they don’t know the rights
@Brandon Prine That was exactly was I thought. It`s not only sad it`s frightening.
our military members should know it's ok to film...especially the upper echelon...
Why in the world didnt you turn the camera on him when he said not to?
Please tell me you had him charged for threatening you and assaulting your property.
That police officer is lit 😂😂😂😂 he said "you can take pictures of whatever you want" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Sergeant is required to wear his hat (service cap) while outdoors.
Be sure to send compliments to CHP for this officer's courtesy and professionalism.
"I don't care about the laws" Classy. Oh and that cop was cool. Great audit despite the fails, good work.
Your classy too. Another fine example of the average american citizen.
" i DONT care about laws says it all doesn't it"
I would be recording literally ANYONE in and out the rest of the day
Cop handled that like a pro. An asset to the department.
In this case the cop who responded was fair enough.
It's amazing how many people don't know that a side walk is public land lmao
When the coverless sgt said "Don't film me" you should have told him that he is so handsome and chunky, oops hunky that you simply had to film him.
Wow a cop who knows the law and is friendly and unaggressive 10 out of 10 for him.
The law is the law. You don't have to like it but you do have to deal with it!
Gotta give this CHP officer credit. He’s the only public official that knew the law.
I served and that Staff Sargent doesn't remember taking an oath, is overweight and is out of uniform (no headgear). I'm embarrassed.
+ 1 man, saw that from a mile away. Put your EFFING head gear on, have some pride in uniform.
***** Hooah !!!
Soldiers are worse than cops. They don't protect you dummy they're government pawns.
That old guy is only a Staff? We need a new Army!!
The Santa Rosa National Guard Armory is obviously a primary target for our enemies.
There ain't know way that guy could pass a PT test. How the hell has he not been discharged.
any service man or woman that violates their oath in this manner should be dishonorably discharged
Staff Sargent needs a boot out of my Army.
Hehe.
Good cop! Good cops must hate to answer these bullshit calls when they know the outcome before they get to the site.
"You're not in public"
"I don't care about the laws"
That should just about say it all..........................
I have written permission from James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Benjimin Franklin and a host of people that framed the constitution. Also the Supreme Court of the United States.
you would think this sergeant should know better
"You're not in public"....."it's state property"......oh gawd, I help pay his salary....how embarrassing to be in any way associated with these clowns.
That police officer was respectful I
Wish they were all professional like he was
It never ceases to amaze me how many people come up close to a photographer to complain loudly that they dont want to be filmed.
Poor Sgt. was just in the reserves. He had a few more years to go then he could collect his pension.
All I want to know was why was round Roberts outside with no freaking headgear on???
Putting on a uniform does not make you a hero!
the point of the audit is to restate our rights and obviously idiots dont understand those rights, this is a service to us all no matter the reason by anyone who chooses to excercise those rights
Why do ppl always say terrorism or "in this day an age" it's all bull
I know they are national guard but they need to do more PT.
and sit-ups. A fat military. A stupid and fat police force. A corrupt court system. An over-paid/underworked, fat, lazy and retarded staff at every USPS. Time to move to Russia.
And diets
Literally people get mad at you but look at what this guy says “it’s none of your business” “I don’t care about the laws”. These are the people we are suppose to respect?
If he got arrested for something would he tell the cops,"I don't care about the laws"....probably not.
Most rational cop ever. Give that guy a medal👌🏻
Give some guys a costume and suddenly they are superman and a constitutional lawyer combined.....in their own point little head...
America's Soldiers, America's Terrorists. I must commend the police officer for handling this matter with total professionalism.
Soldier was out of uniform, no cover upon his head.
+amon craft national guard soldiers were deployed in tha middle East idk if it was Iraq or Afghanistan but they do and did fight for this country and deserve tha same respect... unless they like that bald asshole who don't deserve that uniform in tha first place

Sergeant: "Sir, he's filming me and everything else". MOMMY!
I laughed when the Big guy said the sidewalk is private/State property.
As a veteran, that Sgt is a joke. I would have tore him up for not wearing his cover outdoors to begin with.
riding that permanent profile
That was one of the nicest cops I have ever seen on youtube!!!!
All cops should act like that officer did
Mynameispant23 Mysterious Gamer amen
Damn,,,, that is a wise cop,,, knows something about the law and does the right thing,,, ole USN vet
That CHP Officer was GREAT!
That NCO is violating Army Regulation 670-1, his headgear should be worn, outdoors, at all times...
My personal opinion i'd follow home home and record his place and family, along with where he works. See how he's feels about being harassed.
