Accounting is about knowing what you have. Finance is using what you have to make more money. With accounting, you know what your money does and where it goes. With finance, you can use the extra money that you have from accounting to make more money. Money itself is the tool of finance. This is why finance people are heavily involved in the stock market. If you don't have the strong stomach needed for gambling, don't do finance.
