A friend of mine didn't have a driving licence at the time..he had bought a car for when he passes..he had just put new alloy wheels with the low pro tyres, he asked me if I would park his car with his new wheels on outside his house..we'll I parked it on the roadside and scrapped his brand new alloy wheels on the pavement..you can buy tyres with rim protectors on the outer sidewall of the tyres..they just have a chunky sidewall the stick out to protect the wheel rim..
After may husband passed away in 2019, we had a Ford Kuga at the time. It was for pulling the caravan. Anyway, after having a go at towing it, I decided it wasn't the same, so I got rid of it, and decided to change the car. Being 5ft, I had to literally climb into the car. I looked around and decided on a Ford Focus 1.5 diesel. Bought it from Fords of Wilmslow, and it was the best car. I bought it brand new. Its really nippy, surprisingly so for a 1.5, when I've always been used to 2Lts engines in the last 3 cars or so. When I drove from Manchester to Looe for my first holiday, I got 77mph to the gallon. Its absolutely great for long distance driving.
Love the colour of the Mini, a well deserved present for your wife 👍

Modern car wheels and kerbs, flipping nightmare. Not a fan of modern Mini cars but sounds nice.
