“A” mode for base stations is when you connect them with a very long cable, called a sync cable, in the case that they are to far apart or don’t have clear line of sight. Also, “WatchmanDongle” is the way that a headset/ PC communicates with SteamVR peripherals, and the hardware it uses to do so. Every headset is capable of connecting to 4 base stations and 2 controllers, the reason why 2 popped up is because the headset was detecting the base stations.
I ended up getting this because as an Australian this on Christmas sale cost less than half the price of a valve index imported and it has proper warranty and Australian consumer law. Sure it doesn’t have 144hz or the beautiful wide fov And it doesn’t have the oled panel of the og vive But it has a noticeably higher resolution and it is available in this country. Maybe one day I’ll import an index but for my use this is already an absolutely incredible setup
@@ChrisProAU I don’t have any evidence but I saw a reddit post suggesting it’s because of Australian consumer law being to good so valve actually had to fix faulty units and they had too many of said faulty units
Nice I might pick up a cosmos elite later this year. Sure the Index is out but I want to take my time with vr and the quest 2 my brother got us for Christmas was a great experience via airlink BUT sometimes the lag i get with it is just eck. Time to try out a vive wired headset. :)
You can always slowly upgrade up to index from any Vive, xcept the vive cosmos, not the elite the normal cosmos. I do plan doing that buying a vive cosmos elite full kit and then slowly get index controllers and at last the headset itself. Since everything from vive to index are pretty much compatible with eachother
When I ordered this VR headset kit, package was fine, not damaged, but they forgot to add converter into the package, so I got absolutely everything else from the headset kit, but missing on this goddamn thingy. I had to return it, cause its nearly impossible to order or find same converter at any of physical stores. it sucks, it just takes too much of goddamn time to get my money back to get a new one. Seriously not cheap fun..
Don't ever buy this headset unless you get it for DIRT CHEAP. Its so uncomfortable and breaks the skin on your face. The screen door affect is horrid and its just an overall terrible headset.

High quality video, keep up the good work
21:31 If you remove the face foam on the headset, top right will be a usb-c port. You can use a usb-c to headphone jack.
I did it for my lav mic
I have the same shirt, but red with black sleeves, it's very comfortable.
I ave the normal cosmos and its working very good with new updates (i play in my bedroom at night with it)

@@Zakrulanwould there be any good specific site to sell my elite? i just dont like it and its too heavy on me
Nice vid ;) thx
How did you set up your desktop icons at the bottom like that? =]
I wonder if command strips are strong enough to hold up the base stations?
I wasn't brave enough to test myself but I'd bet the vibrations would weaken the adhesive pretty quickly.
@@ChrisProAU me thinks I'll just buy tripod mounts instead.
DUDE 1353 TY TY MAN I BROUGHT ONE THE L:EIEL and now I know
I plug my usb 3 port and it says it’s not usb3
