@hoojiwana_17 coelian is also a full tier higher. Skink gets a fully enclosed turret at the same br as the ostwind but the 6.3 coelian gets nuked from the game
@@threadworm437 the skink is more like a wirbelwind, german aa was only moved to such a high br because there is so many good aa players played them but now that german aa got nerfed (lower turret traverse, rof and HE fragmentation) the 40mm is a much better aa even though you can be gun strafed pretty easy

Ostwind can be in because it's easier for CAS to kill. CAS is how Gaijin makes their money. As soon as planes and things associated with them stop being worth buying, Gaijin r fucked. If you want to play tanks, War Thunder is not for you. You and your misfortune is the commodity that Gaijin sells to people who buy plane stuffs.

As I consistently tell my friends, "I am doing God's work taking out CAS and an Angel gets wings for every one I shoot down". I wish I had the Coelian in my AA stable. It's so funny because recently I gave my German 6.7 lineup another try and because of the spam of planes and some pretty light armored vehicles (I'm looking at you M18) I've been enjoying playing the coelian much more than ever before. In on of my games I've almost even got a nuke with it which is still so hilarious to me.
What I really think is stupid is that Ostwind 2 doesn't really exist and is still in the game, honestly the FlakPanther should be in the game as a research vehicle
This thing is at such a sweet spot in the tech tree where American CAS is at its most overpowered and they have gone up their whole tech tree being able to strafe AAA. But, it suffers from the worst of War Thunder weaknesses: bad mobility. Shame it was removed.
Funky little thing about German WW2 37mm AA guns, they seems so lack half of its actual penetration, its supposed to have around 70-80 ish penetration with the AP rounds

I quite love the German 37mm AA guns: they're not so small as to do little damage, and they're not so large as to have too low a velocity. It's a shame that I'll likely never get this vehicle... In other news, I artied my first plane today, and it was a Yak-9T too, so I was quite happy. It's also funny because I got artied while in a plane for the first time at the beginning of last week.
i just freaking love the coelian, it's so nice to play and since now not a lot of people play it, a lot of player have forgotten about this closed germany aa and just try to shoot it thinking it's the dual 37 mm open horrible aa ostwind 2
The 37mm cannons on the Coelian most likely would have been belt-feed and using ammunition with higher muzzle velocity. Something like a larger Mk 103. The FlaK 44 that we have in-game, basically just a FlaK 43 with different name, like on the Ostwind II, feeds clips from left and right but there is no space for the clips to be ejected. So this side by side set-up wouldn't be possible with the guns.
Gaijin really makes it hard for casual players to stay dedicated to the game.. Half the tanks I want to play are either $500 or unavailable. Or locked behind events that require you to quit your full time job to complete, or of course spend $50
YUSS DOLLAR PLAYS THE COELIAN! Ohhh man! I've wanted this for so long! Reason why you were missing is because the mine shell round travels at around 914 m's, it is FAST and therefore will miss against slower prop planes (no problem hitting jets though)
You say that they need to incentivize people to play more AA, but every game I played today trying to get some of those rocket kills there were at least five AAs shooting at me. And they also have god-tier aim. I just want to do my battlepass shit, man.
This tank is 6.3 while the kugelblitz is on 7.0 with a gun that can't really hit anything in the air because the low velocity unless they fly straight to you. And the most stressful thing about it is you either take it with you wisel or anything in 7.7 or you will force to play against 8.0 with your Tiger II.
The Kugelblitz has slightly faster HE rounds than the 341 (920 vs 914 m/s) but the Kugel's AP is only 800 m/s and unlike the 341 you always have mixed belts so some rounds will always miss
I love how this was removed for not being realistic with full wooden mock-up when it was replaced by something this maybe was word of mouth after the war. A very big maybe.
I remember back in the day, before the OG AP pen changes from when they changed the formula they used. It at around 67mm of pen, allowing you to pen most weakspots in the game, including the T32's 40mm lip at the top of the turret. That was the OG weakspot on the T32 when before volumetric lol. I found this out from first had experience, to both of our suprise. I, the Coelian, drove up and found my safe being stared down by a T32. I was scared shitless and just started blasting at his turret, trying to blind him. That's when I noticed, WTF I KILLED HIS TURRET CREW!!! Yeah, so I killed T32 from the front with my Coelian. Now that they nerfed the pen to around 49mm of pen, so its still insane against light tanks being APHE, but thats about it ;-;.
Hope you find some time to try out the bomber escort event (or bomber destruction event depending on your team). It's pretty cool when people actually employ the proper escort tactics!
they got moved to 7.0 and its no really worth it to play 7,0 because of these 2 vehicles. Before the BR change some months ago I could play my dream german lineup consisting of Me 262 Sturmvogel, 10,5 Tiger 2, Panther 2 and Colian. SInce the br changed for tiger 2 and panther 2 i just play the normal tiger 2 with coelian, sturmvogel, jagdtiger, bulldog, arado etc. Also the 10,5 tiger 2 has a better engin engine and a little bit more pen, 1 more crew member but its only useful on long range sniping maps. In CQB the normal Tiger 2 is much better because of the better reload
Extremly fun vehicle, got numerous trap shots or unexplainable kills with it. Hope in the future you can make a crazy video playing Kugelblitz and this vehicle togheter.
They should bring these back like the maus. During the birthday you can research them. The whole reason I wanted to play was the panther ll and they took it before I could unlock it.

I use it all the time. Easily one of the best conventional AA. So many planes assume you're in something they can easily pen

everytime a video starts, theres always a cool cinematic to make the tank look good, but still gets destroyed, love it
This and the kugelblitz which did have a fully functional model that was rejected because it caused the crew to get turbo Motion sickness.

the best thing about this tank is that most cas players will assume you're an ostwind 2, giving you the element of surprise !
