Thank you for this video. I've had this phone for a few months now & I didn't know you could put a memory card in it. I asked before I bought it & the people at Sprint act like they didn't know what I was talking about it. I liked G2 because of all the memory (32 Gs) but now I love this one because I have more memory.!! Thanks again.
thank you thank you thank you. i never knew what the sim card was, i thought the micro sd went in place of the sim! i watched a tutorial last year where another guy showed the placement of the micro sd card very fast! it's been one year, i thought about revisiting this. finally!
Thank for the Vid, its been awhile since I've used a micro sd card and this is the first I've ever seen that was installed this way. Earlier before watching i tried removing the micro sim thinking it was a dummy chip that was a place holder and then i was looking for a way to pop out the tray, then i thought lol maybe its spring loaded. This is the first I've ever seen that sits on top like that. Im glad i found you video before i ford it and broke something lol Thanks again!
Glad you liked it :) That's right. It's just possible. Which is pretty neat, it would be quite a pain having to remove the battery to change just the SD card.
I did make a review video: th-cam.com/video/iZJc6fibwJw/w-d-xo.html But it's a pretty good device. The only real problem I had with the device was the headphone jack, which I couldn't connect a microphone (Røde Smartlav) or the Pressy jack button. It worked fine for normal headsets and such.
The LG UI i nowhere near as laggy and bug filled as the Samsung Touchwiz (or at least as Touchwiz was, havn't tried a Samsung device for some time now) if that's what you are wondering about. I can't say it's completely without any lag since no device is, but it's overall really fluid and fast.
I just ordered an LG G3 on ebay; I currently own a Samsung ativ s neo. Would the sim card on the ativ neo work with the lg g3? I'm using sprint network btw. Thanks
+Teirrah Bailey you cannot reboot a sim card. If you use the wrong pin code three times, you'll have to use the puk code to unlock it. If you press the wrong puk code then the SIM is locked forever and you'll need a new one. You can always pull out the SIM card and use the device without. But then you can't use it as a phone though.
Help I have got a LG G3 and I have bought a case which actualy is a back replacement case. But on the normal back of the phone there are 4 little golden connectors that join to 4 golden things on the phone. But the case that I have bought doesn't have those connectors do they matter, what are they for
I would not think it does... I just removed my back and my WiFi signal did not take any hit. As far as I could gather from some quick searching on the internet the prongs are for wireless charging (Qi) and NFC - two for each. So there is also NFC, which I forgot about in my original answer (sorry about that).
NFC stands for Near Field Communication and enables some cool tricks like pairing to bluetooth speakers by touch (phone to speaker) only. You can also get NFC tags which lets you run tasks on the phone when it touches that specific NFC tag. It's neat and all but (sadly because I want to) I never use it.
Hey i have a lg g3 and i have no idea what happened but it it went to this thing called hidden setting and now its on this thong called Auto Detecting Item... How can i take this off? Because i cant use my phone
I haven't heard of the problem before, but I found this that sounds like it might be you're experiencing: "If you find yourself in this situation, press and hold the Power button, then select "Normal Boot". Thanks to our members for pointing this out, and for Anarconda over on XDA for the fix.". You can read more about it here: lg-g3.wonderhowto.com/how-to/unlock-hidden-menu-run-diagnostic-test-your-lg-g3-0156740/
I put the SIM card to put my old photos on my new lg G3 that I ordered but the photos don't want to go to the new phone help please how do I make the pictures go to my new lg g3
+Cristian Guerrero The photos are not stored on the SIM Card. That would be a SD Card, which you may or may not have on your old phone. Most likely the photos are stored on the onboard storage (the storage within the phone). If this is the case the best way to get the photos on to your new phone, might just be to connect your old phone to a PC and transfer the photo to that PC. When the transfer is complete you can then connect your new G3 to the computer and transfer the photos to the new G3. Other than that you might look in to cloud storage like Drive or Dropbox.
+Swedish Airsoft My go to checks when this happens are the following: 1. Ensure that I put it in right. (Guess that's why you are here at this video ;) ) 2. Ensure that the SD Card I'm using works. (This can be done by inserting it into another phone or any other reader) 3. Ensure that the phones SD Card reader works. (Using other SD Cards to insert into the phone in order to check if they work) *Edit* If these things fail (or isn't possible for you) I would take contact to the supplier of both the phone and SD Card to see what help they can provide.
Hi friend, I have aproblem. Iput my micro sd 16GB in the lg g3 socket normal, like you show. And two days behind no is recognized for my PC and my phone (lg g3) is totaly death but no have phisical damage. Now I buy a micro sd 64 Gb put it normal, works well, copy the files, music. Today I was taking photographs in determiando time the message appeared that the card was extracted unexpectedly. Well, not recognize again, it was like 16Gb
I need help I bought a used phone on Amazon warehouse (everything is in good nick) but I have a problem with the phone, it says it's locked but I have no idea on which network provider it is
I don't think I can help you sadly. I don't know much about carrier locking in the US (or at all since they don't do it here anymore). Hopefully someone else can.
Hey Man I Just Got My Micro Sd Card Brand New Genuine Kingston 16Gb Class 10 and I Put it in And My Device Storage is 0 and My Micro Sd Card is 16 and when I download a Game it says Error
Yeah, as Tristan de Jager said there is a little performance difference, account of the 3 GB of RAM on the 32 GB version versus the only 2 GB of RAM on the 16 GB. But it's probably not something that you will notice in normal use, unless you really max out your multitasking or using very RAM hungry apps.
I saw some reviews and the difference is so insignificant that my final answer would be: NO, there is no difference. The QHD screen and the 3gb ram was more like a marketing thing than a practical thing.
its okay it turned out i had 32gb on it anyway. one quick question.. i got this lg g3 today and it was good until an update came and it turned it into lollipop 5.0 and i personally prefer what it was before that. is it possible to go back?
Well yeah... If I am to explain all the steps involved that is how long it took. I don't think I wasted much time on other topics that the one stated in the title.
almost 3 mins in youre not even at the point yet, its not rocket science to remove the back cover and the battery btw noone who clicked on this video needed help with those things.
Thanks for the feedback, I've chosen to include the part about removing the back and battery since it is part of inserting the SIM card, and some people do not know how to do this. But I will take your advice in to consideration. Again thanks :)
Micheal, Thank you. You know more (and exceptionally explain better) than store representatives.

Glad you liked it :)
That's right. It's just possible. Which is pretty neat, it would be quite a pain having to remove the battery to change just the SD card.

OMG thank you, I just got a LG G3 and didnt see the SD card slot icon and thought I was screwed lol
Thank you, your video was very helpful.
1:55 is where he finally inserts the SIM card.
So this will work on straight talk?
It should do. I don't know Straight Talk, but took a look at their website and they are just another provider.
I heard It will but I would like some more confer nation on it though and I think it will work as long as I get a AT&T micro SIM card chip
Sadly I can't help you further with confirmation about that as I don't live in the US.
Okay we'll thanks anyway have a nice day
I have the lg g3 vigor and have no sim or any memory card I'm not sure what sim card to get for it. is there any way you can help

I would believe they are there to enable wireless charging via the Qi standard. So if you're not going to be using wireless charging you'll be fine :)
Someone said they are used for WiFi is that true and they thought it was.important

It's not easy and will void any warranty you might have on the device. You can check out more and get help here: forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3
thanks man
Thank you! Well done, I thought that this phone doesn´t has an expandable memory haha
