Hey guys, thanks for the support and love as always! Just wanted to caveat my take on button controls with a few things: 1) *I'm definitely not saying that ALL touch controls are always better than button controls* (some suck and enjoy registering an action when you so much as look at them). I'm more saying that when compared to buds of a similar price to the 85T, that the comparative experience as a whole has been so much more intuitive and pleasant to use - see below for the reasons why. 2) *I don't dislike button controls simply because they're button controls.* I dislike them because 99% of the time, they mean you have push the earbuds into your ears to operature them (raising volume multiple times is particularly unpleasant) and the clicking sound in your ears never a plus for me. 3) *Some people just prefer button controls over touch controls and that's totally fine!* Yes, you are allowed your own personal preference! After all, there are situational uses where only button controls will do - like if you wear gloves a lot for example. But outside of those situations, I have never encountered button controls that I could honestly say were as good as, or better than good touch controls. If I do, trust me, I will be very happy to let you guys know! The intro of this video was meant to be tongue in cheek - I don't always leave the room whenever I see button controls 😂 (I wouldn't be able to my laptop otherwise) But in all seriousness, what I am more disappointed about, is that Jabra didn't improve the button controls whatsoever. It is literally a copy-paste of the 75T. Make the buttons register with a more delicate click or remove the annoying clicking sound and I'd have so much less to complain about. TLDR: I don't actually hate all button controls, but these aren't a great experience (or particularly great value for money) when compared to touch control buds around a similar price as the 85T. Thanks again guys - I am happy for you to still fight the corner for button controls so feel free to attempt to change my mind in the comments below! 😆👍🏻 Mark
Came here to rage. I absolutely hate touch controls. I wear beanies, gloves, work out, get sweaty bump clothing/helmet straps and just have all kinds of issues. I want to see more buttons on premium earbuds especially ones made for working out. I like the click and tactile feedback too, touch still makes a sound. Hard to press buttons especially press+hold commands can be painful. We'll see how the 75t's fair, got a pair coming today.
I was going to say, I switch from 65t to buds pro, and I hate the touch controls. Part of it being I almost always need to adjust the earbuds because my ears are just not good with keeping earbuds in at least in the first insertion. The other part is that I found myself hitting the touch surface multiple times trying to pause or do any of the other interaction. One of my ear buds on my buds pro recently went bad, so I'm sending them into repair/replace/refund. Will give me an opportunity to maybe go back to jabra. I do really love the independence between earbuds in the buds pro though. Left or right ear, though I prefer using my left ear for the bud because I tend to hear more clearly in my right ear if someone (wife) is trying to talk to me.
Completely agree - having owned the WF-1000XM3s, the touch button was a pain as the feedback for registering your touch had an annoying split second delay from touching, resulting in miss touches or double touches. Touch buttons look impressive on paper as we are all familiar with touch screens by now, but for headphones the benefits of no noise when pressing and less pressure to press are outweighed by the functionality of a physical button, in my opinion.
I was going to comment saying I'm looking at the Jabras specifically because they don't have touch controls. I'm often out in a beanie exercising and when it's raining or gets sweaty the touch controls on my Samsung buds go crazy when wet. I often have to go to the app and turn off touch controls which is why I'm looking at these.
Phisical buttons for me are better than Touch sensitive ones. Touch controls are sometimes hit and miss, and are more prone to accidentally activation when adjusting at ears. Physical buttons are better to use when running or exercising. I like the feeling of this buttons, they are very soft to activate and give us the perfect feedback.
I definitely agree with you that not all touch controls are great - I've found that those which have no functionality on a single tap to be much more intuitive to use that respect. For me, in terms of button controls, I far favour those which are more on top of each bud, so you can pinch the bud to press it without pushing the earbuds into your ear canal to some degree (like what we have here). I'd also be a little more onboard with them if they eliminated the clicking sound - though you're right, these aren't the worst button controls I've ever come across. But thank you for sharing your point of view as always!
My issue with the pinch controls is that they don't help me at all when skiing or any other time I have on gloves. I agree I could do without the click but it does let me know when I've pushed the button so I can let off
@@mrkwd I have a samsung phone and I don't know what to buy for the gym , samsung buds pro or jabra elite 75 t or elite active 75 t . I am interested in them being comfortable not to fall and having a decent ANC. PLS help me
@@supermeseriasu jabra 75t do it for me. They sit perfectly in my ears and I have never had an issue at work on the farm or in an intensive gym session.
When winter comes, SNOW is everywhere. To control the earbuds, you need to take off your gloves 🙂 That is the reason why I choose these pairs of earbuds over Airpod
Yes and the sound quality is better too IMHO. I don’t care that this opinion is at odds with most. The 12mm driver makes a big improvement in bass quality. Caveat is that I did tune the buds with the hearing test from the app
@@timwhite8500 no I agree, these have a more refined profile over 75t, these are better and improved in every way except for the IP rating . I think people are just trying to convince themselves of not having to pay to replace their existing buds
Buttons are way better imo. When tapping a touch controlled earbuds my ears ring hurt. Its weird but for some reason this doesnt happen with buttons. All my friends with airpods have said the same thing when we swapped earbuds. Besides buttons are actually more reliable than touch- missing or swiping incorrectly by accident is much more common with touch. At the end of the day, of course, its just another thing of preference, but placing buttons as a drawback is just incorrect, sorry. At the same time, I'd love to know which earbuds you have used have such great touch controls so as to merit your claim of buttons being inferior! Could anyone give an example? Maybe upon using proper touch controls I'll never go back to buttons too? :D
It's probably because of the price of 85T why he emphasizes so much about the drawbacks. If it had been less expensive his statements will most likely be different.
I actually prefer button controls. When there's a pair with touch control they are likely to be either unreliable or lacking some controls (can’t get all the controls even with reprogramming) or both.
Hey! I can totally understand your reasoning and definitely don't take this as me saying that ALL touch controls are better than button controls as a rule (some are terrible). I more mean that out of buds of a similar price to the 85T, that the touch control experience there as a whole has been a hell of a lot more intuitive and pleasant than what we've got here. This would be a slightly different matter if Jabra had made *literally any* improvements to the button controls on the 85T, but they're completely identical in every way - and they weren't perfect to start with. Thanks for voicing your perspective!
I had 75T’s, lost them on a job site and liked them a lot. Went to the 85T, and it felt like a huge step back. The battery life was meh, the fit was not great, and the sound was better on the 75T’s. I now have the Bose after returning the 85T’s and they’re really solid. They really should get an eq on the app, but the sound is still better and the ANC is ridiculous. I went to a laundromat with a bunch of kids screaming in it and I didn’t hear a thing. 75T’s are the best bang for the buck now, and Best Buy has a million colors of them.
@@Angelicax8 HAD the quiet comfort earbuds. Honestly, I tried another 5 different sets after these and the Sonys are the best daily driver by far, and I like the beats fit pro for the gym.
I Love the 85T but i know people love their 75T as well, so love is a good thing. 85T works nice when jogging and also the controls with a hat on over the buds (Sweden cold this time at year). Great sound and ANC works really nice, not as good as Sony's over ear but so much easier to carry along and wear.
The Jabra 75T was a significant jump over the 65T whereas with the 85T over the 75T...not so much. To begin with, the design had hardly changed and to my surprise the 85T are actually larger that the 75T. Most manufacturers are cramming as much tech as possible into a smaller form factor but Jabra surprisingly increased the size. I would have been happy with the same shape of the 75T albeit with an even lower profile. Considering the recent firmware update to the 75T with added ANC, the 85T will be a hard sell even with the improved fit and audio quality. That's not a knock on the improvements of the 85T by any means, it's just that the 75T is really that good and an incredible value at almost $100 less than the 85T. I honestly think that Jabra released the 85T too soon. With the popularity of the 75T still high they could have waited a bit and released a more proper successor to the 75T. It will be interesting to see where Jabra goes from here.
Honestly, I fell in love with the Jabra Elite 75t's. They were my favorite pair of wireless earbuds because as much as I adore Sony headphones, their wireless buds could use an update on design. The only reason why I returned them and used the money to buy the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus was because of that audio hiss you speak of. It was so annoying to watch movies or anime with that background noise going off. I would happily replace my Galaxy buds to the 85t's when I get the chance to do so.
Physical buttons for me is better. There's something about tactile button that's more satisfying than touch. I've had Sennheiser Momentum and B&O E8 and I can definitely attest to it. The bigger case is still perfectly fine for me compared with those brands I've tried. ANC is top-notch also.
I have 75T's to almost full happiness, but I understood the 85T's are less bass heavy while I prefer bass heavy sound. How is it in practise? Also how does the top volume compare between 85T vs 75T ?
I very much prefer having proper buttons over touch controls. I spend half my time wearing gloves and if I have to take them off to use the buttons I may as well just use the touch screen on my phone.
Regular use of gloves are definitely a valid reason to opt for button controls - you're totally right. Not sure if all touch-screen friendly gloves work on all buds, but just tested the pair that I own and they do, if that helps! Thanks for watching 🔥
Scored my Elite 75t for $118 and with the ANC update🔥. 1) Jabra has chosen to stick with SBC since AptX consumes more energy but there is no lag during video playback and music. 2) Jabra had promised stereo mode but couldn't get the code right to meet the performance standard hence have dropped it for now.
Another one to add: Physical buttons are a plus, not a minus - especially on devices without an vibration motor which would be quite wasted in earbuds - because of the ability to get instant haptic feedback.
I got these as a free upgrade on warranty from 65ts. While the sound quality is a major improvement and the ANC is great... the main problem is the fit. I used the smallest ear gels on the 65ts and the largest on the 85ts. You are relying on that fit to keep them in. Plenty of times I reached up and found the bud half out of by ear without knowing. They basically sit comfortably in the bed of your ear but not securely. These may not be an issue for many people but I found even with a vigorous walk, I had to adjust the buds every now and then. Still, the sound is excellent and ANC is a real bonus.
As someone who works out, the buttons are way better than the touch controls. With the touch controls, there are a lot of false positive touches. I wear hoodies when I train. The button controls keep that from happening. Also, the 75t are excellent for working out. I train with them all the time. I don't hear the audio hiss you speak of with the 75t. I just got the 85t and they sounded like complete crap to me. They were extremely flat sounding and didn't have the "Jabra sound". However, they did update the 85t a couple of days ago. They do sound more boomy, but something sounds off to me. Overall, I think the 75t make more sense.
I can definitely understand the benefits when it comes to working out and getting the 100% confirmation of a physical button click. And of course, I'm definitely not saying that touch controls on *any* earbuds out there are better than ALL button controls, all of the time. I more mean that compared to options around the same price as the 85T, the overall experience has been more intuitive and pleasant to use than what we've got here (of course, this just my opinion from testing). I have heard people say that oval-shaped drivers *may not* provide a perfect seal across the board compared to circular drivers, which of course, can affect perception of sound quality - so that's definitely something to bear in mind. I have to say that, though sound signatures differ, the sound quality overall between the 75T and 85T isn't miles apart - it's more the elimination of white noise that swung it for me here. Thanks for taking the time to share your take - it's always appreciated! 🔥
@@mrkwd I watched your video on the Liberty 2 Pros and their hissing .... I heard it in the pair I had, and returned them because of it. So I know what you mean. But with my 75t, I really don't hear it. BTW, did you make this video before or after the firmware update the other day ? It changed the sound signature quite a bit.
Just like several other already pointed out: Touch controls often suck because of accidental touches, wet hats or hairs or other things. Almost like sport watches. No serious sport smartwatch features a touch screen. Button control is in these devices a crucial must. Running with gloves. Sweaty helmet straps. The haptics and fault proof control might weight out the fancy tech for some. Glad jabra sticked to it.
Hi Mark- Thank you for your great review. Help me lot for making that buying decision. I just purchased the 75T. I'm really happy. 👍😀 Thanks again from Sydney Australia.
Hi mrkwd, big fan! I recently bought a pair of the Jabra Elite Active 75t on sale for around $135. At that price they are still significantly more expensive than the budget earbuds you've been reviewing. I like them so far - only noticeable hissing is on hear-through mode. But this video has me thinking - if there are so many budget true wireless earbuds that you've been rating so high, what features do the Jabra's (or any mid-tier true wireless earbud for that matter) have that makes them deserving of the higher "premium" price point?
Got the 75t a week ago. Definitely preferring the physical buttons to the touch controls of my previous earbuds. I have small inner ears so the 75t fit perfectly whether working or hiking. The ANC firmware update make these a great bargain.
If you put comply sport tips on these I believe they are the best earbuds for running/cycling. Sweatproof and don't budge, can get the active version as well
I literally was getting an exchange at Best Buy cause of a pair of earbuds I didn't like, an employee didn't assist me to open a case for the Beats so I said screw it and study the Jabras..I've never in my life heard of them and MAN I love them and the 75t is just pretty astounding with the quality and the fancy gizmos..slick and compact to me in my opinion.
85t fit is absolute dog shit compared the 75t, biggest mistake was getting the 85t...now returning them to Amazon. Can't even get 5 minutes into a workout with the 85t. If I kept them, I'd definitely lose an ear bud or both on the train from it falling out too easily
As someone who works in a -20 freezer and constantly has a beanie on at the least, touch button controls are phenominal. I can change songs, pause, play, deny/accept calls, turn on pass thru/anc and open up google now without removing my hat. The buttons IMO are crisp and clicky. Only time i have to remove my hat with the jabra is adjusting headphone position. With touch controls I have to move my hat to do anything and adjusting is annoying due to the touch function activating. Other than that, good review. The accuracy of the 75t portion makes it much easier to believe what you say about the 85s. The hero and zero connection for jabras is the largest downfall in my eyes for any jabra product ive used. good review
Got 85t only to fund out that left earbuds always stays in case because u cant use left earbuds independently, so once right earbuds charging furnished, u can use your Bluetooth even u have full charge on left earbuds bt useless because it needs right earbuds to allow them to use. Fucking pissed
Hey.. I'm a student who needs GOOD ANC but also uses gym a lot. Also I walk on crowded streets and for running. Should I go with 85T or 75T? (Please ignore the spec sheet and i am focused on real life experience)
Aloha ! I am afraid I disagree with you , I am more than satisfied with my Jabra Elite 85T , the ANC is really good, and the sound quality is one of the best I have heard . Be well & stay safe 🤙
i see too much negative videos Jabra 85t and i really think some of that youtubers are paid or just havent even tested to Jabra 85t. As an owner of Jabra 85t i can definitely say if there is 2 best earbuds one is definitely Jabra 85t. people really shouldnt listen to such dishonest opinions.
Shocked about your negative words for the button controls. I live in Norway, here we have winter and minus degrees half the year. When using my Jabra Elite Active 75T outside in winter, I use wool hat over my head and warm winter gloves. With button controls it is no problem to adjust volum, skip to next song or answer a call with full winter clothing.
The matter is if the earbuds so expensive without soft touch to reduce cost then it should improve very much in the other areas not just a minor changes compare to previous version. Many earbuds below $100 come with soft tap and full features with much more battery life and play time in single charge, good call quality with slightly less audio quality than expensive earbuds. As for equalizer we can found it on app store with chances better than some of the original.
Great review! Liked and subscribed. Would you be able to do a comparison between the 75T, 85T, and Elite 7 Pro please? Thank you and keep up the great work.
I mean the button controls are super useful for someone that does a lot of running in the cold with gloves on...these are targeted towards active people
button controls are essential to someone like myself who often has dirty or gloved hands at work. its a "if its not broken, don't fix it" thing in that aspect for me. i don't see any benefit except as a symbol of being "futuristic".
I have the 75t and I don't find any problem with having button control vs Galaxy Buds Live with touch control. Both work fine for me. For the price difference, I think the 75t win!
I am in the on the go audio-entusiast community since 2007, having bought a tons of audiophile on the go products... Shure, Weston, Earsonics... and daps like Fiio, Astel Kern and so on... On the go, physical button is the consensus.
been using airpods for 2 years. Right now, my airpods are completely ruining my ears and they hurt my ears a lot. After the battery has also gotten worse i decided it was time for something new. I bought the 85t's. With the drama i had with my airpods i am here for a more comfortable fitting. I also love noisecancelling so im really excited. Also, where i bought them the difference was only 34 dollars, so i thought it was worth it.
I also hate touch controls, physical buttons are much better because they work when you have gloves on (e.g. on motorcycle with helmet on). I always end up accidentally hanging up when push earbuds back in/when adjusting at ears, highly annoying.
I actually prefer buttons controls if your hands get wet like after you went swim or took a shower or even in the rain the touch controls don't always work
In my country i bought the 75t for 90$ and they are great overall. For workout 75t is great. U should buy the 75T ACTIVE for workout. The regular 75T is not for workout :)
Here's why I hate touch controls on earphones. In cold climates where people need to wear beanies or Tooks, it will constant pause your music. Most frustrating thing ever!
I'm really surprised about the critic on white noise because I've been using 75t for 10 months and got no white noise at all. Though my 75t started to malfunction, I can't close ANC when I want and I started to experience connection issues. I'm sending them back for a new pair. Also, buttons are better over touch controls in my opinion. You can't use touch controls with gloves and more importantly you can activate them by mistake. Design was one of the reasons why I chose 75t, because almost every other earbuds have those useless touch controls.
OMG! Did anybody else see what I saw? As soon as the video started I saw the DVD logo on the TV in the screensaver mode and instantly thought I watch this video up until the point that hits the corner exactly and bounces out And if it doesn't call just keep watching but it did just that it hit the corner perfectly bounced in and bounced out so perfectly perfect that that that…… Well it did that in the 1st 2 seconds of the video And I feel I have to keep the promise my promise. To not watch the rest of the video I am sorry buddy but a promise is a promise And I will go ahead and give you a thumbs up for the video it Completely made my day so I appreciate that my friend. And besides the 75 Are better than the 65 And better than the 85 So good job there my friend Look forward To Seeing more videos
I currently use 65t and the button controls are quite annoying for the exact reasons you mention. Pushing the buttons is like pushing the earphones into my ear and that paired with the clicky sound is very annoying. It's very subjective of course. Everyone is entitled to their preferences. But yea, I'm looking forward to switching to touch controls.
I bought the 85’s first and I loved them! The ANC is the best out there right now. Then someone stole them from me and I bought the 75’s since everyone was saying they’re basically the same. The sound quality is still great but the ANC isn’t as impressive as the 85’s.
for me, 85t is the same price as the 75t Active with Wireless Charging... So i have to choose between the IP rating (75t) and the sound quality (85t) :( Why does Jabra make this so difficult? Maybe i should just stick with my 65t for another year, until something is released that checks all the boxes.
I have both the 75t and 85t, and I say without a doubt the 75t has much better sound quality, they are smaller and sit more firmly in the ear. The sound on 85t is average and it's fine, but if you are audiophile like me then they are a disappointment. For those whose ears start to hurt after long use the 85t is better choice. And anc is def much better on 85t.
Any TWS earbuds with touch controls are a big NO for me. I have been using the Sabbat e12 (and Ultra) for years now and don't want anything else. As others already mentioned button control is so much better in many situations (doing sports, wearing gloves, hats etc.). Especially now in winter I can easily operate them when I wear gloves and a hat. Absolutely no problem! The buttons on the Sabbat e12 are so easy to click and it never feels like I'm hurting my ears when I push the buttons. There are many great TWS earbuds out there but all of them have touch controls which will always be the dealbreaker for me.
I LIKE Button Controls! They are MUCH Better IMHO over Touch Controls! You can adjust the earpiece without worrying that you might accidentally hit one of the Touch Controls. And Physical Buttons will work with Wet Hands and when wearing Gloves.
Just received the 85t's today and am extremely disappointed in the sound quality compared to the 75t's. Much so that I'll probably be sending them back to Amazon. I tried everything to make them sound decent, but they don't cut it.
Don't care much for their size having been increased. Will only consider upgrading if they make headphones independent of each other, that's my biggest peeve with my 75ts right now.
me as the first time I want to get my headphones do you prefer 75 or 85?I also see very good comments about Bowers & Wilkins PI7 In-ear they do for running? What do you recommend
I found this review very helpful - I have been considering upgrading from my 65T model to the 85T. For me, the primary driver was probably more control over how much sound you choose to allow through from the outside. Things change over time and I swear my 65Ts used to have much more control over how much sound was allowed to pass through and that with recent s/w upgrades that feature has been eroded somewhat. I used to like having profiles like home, office, walking, etc where I could go from no sound being passed through to quite a bit being passed through (either so I could talk to someone or so that I could be more aware of what is happening around me) - the profiles are still there but they seem to allow pass through ON/OFF and no slider to control how much pass through. I had also hoped that the 85T might let me amplify somewhat the sound being passed through but that doesn't seem to be there - my somewhat older ears sometimes need a little help. I found the hiss issue quite interesting - presumably that's being introduced by the ANC as my 65Ts don't have ANC and they don't have the hiss either. For me, I'm going to stick with my 65Ts. UPDATE: I thought the app had removed the slider for pass through but it's only removed if you turn pass through off. But I still find the difference between slider positions does not seem to be as noticeable as when I first bought the 65T back in Apr 2018.
Still using the 65t also... not upgrading anytime soon. Nobody talks about Bluetooth, and how bad the Jabras 65t in general are when it comes to pairing with multiple phones, my $45 Plantronics fo a much better job!
@@diegoburgo1726 I've not tried multiple phones, but I have found that when my phone is in my left hand trouser pocket whilst out walking then occasionally the BT connection becomes spotty whereas in my right hand pocket, slightly closer to the right hand / primary ear bud then it works perfectly.
Was deciding on the 2 but then I decided to give the 75t another try due to the first one I bought the music was fading in and out and sometimes would make a crackling sound
The fit are amazing. Sound is great. Great little buds. UPDATE: Had to reinstall the app on my phone. The ANC personalization section was changed. You cannot suppress sound like before. You cannot fine tune it anymore. There's virtually no difference anymore between ANC on or off. The ANC was great prior to this. The ANC was probably downgraded to give 85t's a chance. Really too bad. ADVISE: If you still have this feature, don't uninstall your app. You will lose the ANC fine tuning.
I'll wait for the 95T's. I own 3 of 75 T's so I'm good for a while. This is the sweet spot for earbuds for me so I'll wait until Jabra steps up their game.
@@nibbax7772 my current 75T"s don't have those problems. 85T's are heavier because of anc witch isn't anything special, they don't sit in the ear as good as the 75T and they reduced the bass witch is a big no no for me. The 85t are not bad, they are average, but 75T is something that stands out from the rest.
I would stick to OR buy 75t as waterproof rating, battery life and sound quality! ONLY issue is, after sw upgrade my 75t charging box stopped charging and earbuds charged only 20% after being on charge for 24 hrs ! Hopefully this is not intentional from Jabra to push users to upgrade??
Absolutely disagree with your opening comments. I own the 75t and the 85t, as well as MPOW and Tronsmart earbuds. Physical buttons are much more practical than touch controls on earbuds. I have used both touch and physical buttons and touch has been more problematic in registering exactly what you want when touching them. Especially when wearing gloves you can forget touch. The sad thing is that those opening comments put me off watching the entire review. As you rightly said it is often a personal preference, but to state yours so dramatically at the beginning of the video is off-putting. Just my honest view.
Just to put it out there once again: It was a 'tongue in cheek' way to start the video - I don't actually leave the room when I see button controls on earbuds! Sorry to hear it put you off, but that's just my humour here on the channel. And to clarify, I am not against ALL button controls, just those which mean you forcefully push the earbuds into your ear canal to achieve a click - but unfortunately, that's 95% of all true wireless earbuds with button controls. With button controls like that, I generally end up barely using them, so hopefully you can understand why I really dislike them. There are buds, like the 1MORE ANC, which feature button controls that you pinch to achieve a button press. They don't result in any discomfort so I have no issues with them in that respect, but those are sadly a very rare exception. And of course - this is all just my opinion and of course, you're welcome to disagree with me and totally ignore me! The whole point of my channel is for people to be able to watch/hear my perspective as someone who endlessly tests earbuds - but ultimately make their OWN decision. If I didn't throw in my own opinion as a heavy user of true wireless earbuds, I might as well just read out a specs sheet. Hope that makes sense and thanks for taking the time to share an honest comment - I'm sure a lot of people will agree with you.

Physical buttons are more functional that touch. Especially in colder climates where you have gloves on
Completely agree - having owned the WF-1000XM3s, the touch button was a pain as the feedback for registering your touch had an annoying split second delay from touching, resulting in miss touches or double touches. Touch buttons look impressive on paper as we are all familiar with touch screens by now, but for headphones the benefits of no noise when pressing and less pressure to press are outweighed by the functionality of a physical button, in my opinion.
Not to mention if you have sweaty hands when working out.
Physical buttons are almost always > touch
Yes! Lack of physical buttons is nearly a deal breaker for me. Cannot stand touch controls.
1000% this. Fuck touch controls.
physical buttons should NOT be a negative.
I strongly prefer buttons on earbuds than touch controls.
Also easier to use when you have gloves on

@@xVietvenomx oh yea
I was going to comment saying I'm looking at the Jabras specifically because they don't have touch controls. I'm often out in a beanie exercising and when it's raining or gets sweaty the touch controls on my Samsung buds go crazy when wet. I often have to go to the app and turn off touch controls which is why I'm looking at these.
@@chrisgreen7725 jabras are perfect for you then. the button controls are easy and precise to use. love em!
PLS help me

When winter comes, SNOW is everywhere.
To control the earbuds, you need to take off your gloves 🙂
That is the reason why I choose these pairs of earbuds over Airpod
I prefer physical buttons too, but there are special gloves for touch buttons and touch screens too.
@@theuploadern3906 Those gloves aren't exactly the same as using finger touch. You really need to be precise on those gloves.
I have the elite active 75t, have had for 2 years. Very good and would reccomend. Still work perfectly after many times through the wash accidentally.
I prefer buttons to sensors, microphone is great, sound quality is much better, QI charge, great noise cancelling. 85t worth the upgrade.
Plus they’re more comfortable and don’t have that plugged up ear feeling
Yes and the sound quality is better too IMHO. I don’t care that this opinion is at odds with most. The 12mm driver makes a big improvement in bass quality. Caveat is that I did tune the buds with the hearing test from the app
@@timwhite8500 no I agree, these have a more refined profile over 75t, these are better and improved in every way except for the IP rating . I think people are just trying to convince themselves of not having to pay to replace their existing buds

I honestly prefer physical buttons. But great video by the way!
Which Bose do you have? I am a big Bose fan but I was checking Jabra just out of curiosity.
@@Angelicax8 HAD the quiet comfort earbuds. Honestly, I tried another 5 different sets after these and the Sonys are the best daily driver by far, and I like the beats fit pro for the gym.

What kinda workout do you do? The only time my 75t's fell out was when I was jumping on the trampoline 😂
So the 85T stay in your ears when you're jogging?
Larger drivers need more space...
I have the elete 75T and absolutely LOVE THEM! FYI the 75T also have dual device connectitivity...
Physical buttons are the reason I get my 75 t...good for my workout
Firmly disagree with the buttons, I prefer it by far.
I like button controls better. Touch controls don’t work well for people with rough hands
Jabra 75t does not have aac?...my 65t supports aac too which is miles better than sbc
7:31. Strongly disagree. Button controls are fine and should be audible.
Buttons is actually better when my finger tip is greasy i use my knuckle, lol
Got the 75t a week ago. Definitely preferring the physical buttons to the touch controls of my previous earbuds. I have small inner ears so the 75t fit perfectly whether working or hiking. The ANC firmware update make these a great bargain.
Is there a huge difference between anc off and on?
@@XX-166 Yes. A world of difference. Still love these, by the way.

Just FYI I liked this to get my boy Jimmy outta retirement. And of course, top notch review this.
The hero and zero connection for jabras is the largest downfall in my eyes for any jabra product ive used. good review

i see too much negative videos Jabra 85t and i really think some of that youtubers are paid or just havent even tested to Jabra 85t.
Some people especially long distance runners, appreciate the physical buttons. Nice review though. I love your channel.
Good Review, will still keep my Active 75T !
Good choice!
I own one too - do you know any way to eliminate the hiss sound or to reduce? it's really really bothering me lol
Smart choice. I have both but the 75t better overall. Don't waste your money with the 85t's.
Actually, the button controls are for many, also for me, a huge plus. With touch controls, I so often accidentally changed something while adjusting
Are the 85t better sound quality than the freebuds pro

Button controls are better if you use these also when sleeping. No accidental touches when side sleeping
Here's why I hate touch controls on earphones. In cold climates where people need to wear beanies or Tooks, it will constant pause your music. Most frustrating thing ever!
Beautiful review keep the honesty up
I'm really surprised about the critic on white noise because I've been using 75t for 10 months and got no white noise at all.

The sound quality is still great but the ANC isn’t as impressive as the 85’s.
how pity u are... sory for your lost
for me, 85t is the same price as the 75t Active with Wireless Charging... So i have to choose between the IP rating (75t) and the sound quality (85t) :(
Why does Jabra make this so difficult?

The biggest reason I went for Jabra is the physical buttons. I hate touch controls.

I wear mine when I ride my motorcycle and prefer the physical buttons. I can press the right side of my helmet to mute and its very convenient.
You will lose the ANC fine tuning.
thanks, this was a gem of a comment!

I love my 75t. My only problem is the range is very limited and battery life is crap but sound quality and bass is very good.
Great video! Which ones for the budget would you recommend - MPow 30, Soundpeats Truefree 2 or Souncore Life P2? Or are there any other good options?
I'll wait for the 95T's. I own 3 of 75 T's so I'm good for a while. This is the sweet spot for earbuds for me so I'll wait until Jabra steps up their game.
85t is downgrade, so you have nothing to worrie about
@@templaraxion I don’t have neither which should I buy?
@@nibbax7772 75T 100%
@@templaraxion but I keep seeing on the jabra subreddit that the 75t have so much issues such as the white hiss noise, earbuds not connecting etc
75t has Bluetooth 5.0. 85t has Bluetooth 5.1, not 5.0.
@@mrkwd Appreciate your quick response.
Jabra physical buttons are unique, they doesn't require lot of force, they are very sensitive a small click gets the job done
