As an oldie and an 80s tragic (Rush, Springsteen, classic metal etc), I've had to force myself to explore newer material. It's taking time but I like Halsey, Lana Del Ray and some of Taylor Swift's music in addition to artists like Plumb who do the vocals for a lot of trance. Good luck with your collection.
Great to see someone so young with the same love of collecting CDs as us " oldies" ( although I'm not to keen on the CDs in a wallet .I'd need abig one for my 1000+albums.)
Same here. BIG collection. I bought one of those heavy duty DJ cases - the BIG trunk-style black cases trimmed in stainless steel edging and the big "knobby" corners (with locks and latches and the whole bit), and the discs themselves are stored in those poly-vinyl clear sleeves, wit hall the printed inserts stored in a separate box. I should do another count to see how many I have now. Probably well over 1000, but no idea if it's closer to 1000 or 2000. I only know I have a LOT, and that's not even counting music I obtained online (all the one-offs that I refuse to buy an entire album for, and one-hit-wonders from the 80s and 90s).
Before you lecture me on downloading free, lol, I have more than spent BIG money on the hard copies I have - replacing damaged copies, buying entire catalogs 2 or 3 times over cos of "remixed and remastered and reissued" marketing schemes, and paying outrageous prices for rare imports and OOP (out of print) copies just to complete collections. I've been gouged pretty good, so I feel no guilt for the few downloads I got "for free". Also, if all those "rare bonus tracks" could just be included on an album to begin with, I wouldn't have to download (as often). I have repeatedly bought the same album 3 or 4 times over (and occasionally still do, if I am a fan of the artist and all their works) all because of some regional variant (i,e. Japanese or UK releases having the extra tracks), so, again - not sorry, lol.
Always looking to expand my music collection, I found a copy of Carole King's Tapestry in a charity shop today and bought it on your recommendation - thanks!
I love the video :) You should consider getting Blackout by Britney Spears since it's a pop and also known as the bible of pop by many artists. Also, this album got into Rock and Roll museum in 2012 since it's considered one of the best albums. Also, that album is in Rolling stone's top 500 albums of all time! Anyways like the video :)
Not only do I have hundreds of commercially made CDs but I have thousands of CDs made by myself from vinyl and cassette AND CDs that other people made for me. I trade 'em with other music addicts.

I have a wall full of Ikea Gnedby cd-racks in my hobby room + (4K) blu-ray collection. But I also embrace new technology. My lossless cd-rips are stored on a NAS which I play on various streamers (from Sonos & Bluesound to higher end streamer). I also bought the Oppo UDP-205 when they were still sold at the normal price. Excellent player for cd, sacd, dvd, blu-ray, 4K blu-ray,... I use the HDMI In-entry from the Oppo also as upscaler for my Apple TV 4K (Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+, iTunes Movie Purchases). Excellent times if you love music and movies, the only problem is lack of time for hobbies. During the week it's always late with work / daily routine and in the weekend sports / family activities. When you're young you don't have the budget, and when you're older there's no time :)

Woe what a Video 33mins u are too good so hot and beautiful u are.Im a CD Collector aswell been collecting over 25years got about 250,130 Artists,120 Compliations.When the CD finally came 1986 my Dad got a Technics it was mint just remember him playing BTO Greatest which i have and Deep Purple got me into it and them there was Vinyl and Cassette all have their part but something about the CD it's slickness got me into it ive got a few racks like u takes abit of space tho.U got the Greatest Group of all time in Beatles got to get all their Albums tho aswell as a legend Songwriter she's up there close in Carole King

yes, absolutely! I still prefer to buy DVD's over digital downloads for the same reason, and I cannot bring myself to get rid of the VHS tapes I have (though I have not bought any new ones in a very long time)

I got mine at a yard sale I'm pretty sure, but I see a lot of them at thrift stores! I just did a quick search and couldn't find any that looked like mine, but amazon and walmart both have some other ones. ☺️
