- I returned to Delhi, my least favourite place in India. You meet some amazing people in India but sadly here in Delhi you'll come across countless scammers who just ruin your trip. Today I encounter the biggest scam I have had so far in India, the rickshaw scammer. Hopefully this video can help you if you decide to go India and how to avoid getting into these situations.

No nonsense brother, im in no mood for this😂😂
Brilliant Ben
I don’t need rooftops, I have diarrhea!😂
its called *spice market* what did you think it was gonna smell like? a _tom ford_ perfumery?
oh my goodness
I dunno like actual spices and not shit
Ladakh, kashmir, himachal pradesh, east India, kerela. Man really knows India!!
I'll never go to India
Kela ki boki aso
These scammers would do my head in! People needs to do something about it and not just accept it!
Ben wakes up with a sore throat and cough “Kat and I have chest infections”. Gets me every time 😂
That guy at 15:52 randomly pulling up to Ben to take a selfie with him reminded me so much of the cultural differences between East and West when I arrived to Dubai
Very good driver, but you have nearly crashed a few times to be honest....😂😂😂
Worst driver in the city
You should carry smaller denominations of the local currency so you don't have to ask for change back. Solves the arguments
This!
Or the driver carries them and doesn’t scam?
@@BackpackerBenohh they forgot :) master scammers
Yep - I dont understand why Ben doesn't just grow a pair and use his brain. Just give the robber 100 rupees and walk away. Giving him 500 or 1000 when Ben knew he is a scammer is plain stupidity!!
or book from Uber
I recommend India but avoid the cities, try Goa and Kerela and you will love it !! You can't judge India by Delhi, same as you cant judge UK with London.
Mate London is one of the most visited city in the world, it’s the capital of the world! Dont compare london with Delhi which is a dump. London is London.
@hassymiia6267 I'm not comparing London to Delhi. I'm explaining that a country shouldn't be judged solely on a City.
@@X_BILSON even if people judge UK by London then its fine :) as UK isnt all like London with such population and buildings, although Birmingham and Manchester trying to get to being like quarter of London :)
Whereas if people judge India by Delhi it’s a big negative. As it’s a mess. Their capital!
That driver is a skilled scammer; instead of getting you from point A to point B, he would take the longest way to your desired location in order to charge you more. I never pay attention to desperate drivers while I'm a tourist because I know what they're trying to gain from me.
As far as getting hassled by touts goes India (or most of it anyway) is actually nothing like as bad as it was 20 years ago! I personally wouldn't advise getting a local guide unless they are recommended by someone you trust. A guide is just as likely to want to take you to their 'uncle's' spice, craft or jewelry shop (where their commission will inflate the price you pay) as any tout. It might be worth getting a car and driver for a trip to Agra to see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, which is something you should definitely experience, but otherwise it's best just to learn through experience how to deal with the irritations India throws at you. India has more irritations than just about anywhere else I've ever been, but travel there is also extremely rewarding. If you arrive somewhere on a train or bus and are overwhelmed by aggressive touts, go in the nearest cafe or restaurant and order a snack or a cup of chai. You can relax and collect your thoughts. By the time you've finished they'll be gone.
Another tip is don't judge the general population of India by the scumbags who approach you in tourist areas. Although it's important to be aware that anyone who approaches you in a tourist area is highly likely to be seeking some kind of financial gain (whether through scams or commission), the same does not apply to the person you strike up a conversation with on a train. Especially if it's you who initiates the conversation.
I've been, Not a bad vid Ben,
But honestly, The Delhi I experienced was far worse than what you showed.
You can't trust a soul.
Ben, you should’ve called the police
I will not last a day in India from the noises alone. And I am just as frustrated watching you being scammed
Why did you make your old India vlogs private?
coz he is new Ben. He knows what works on the Internet now, sadly has become more dishonest, cringe vlogger.
I will never ever visit.
Do not go to India if your an attractive foreign women, that’s a recipe for disaster.
@@rbst5154she isn’t even attractive though😂 she’ll be fine
Her brown skin is not attractive enough for you. She's a cutie to me. There's a lot of dark brown indians from India who are gorgeous.
Couldn’t think of anything worse than going to this country.
I can. It's when they come to your country.
Just go to London it's basically the same no natives left
@@יונהאליראשון😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thanks for showing the reality and not always the rosy side of things in India. For most majority of the locals, this is the norm than the exception
Sometimes you need to experience the chaos, there’s nothing like it. Agree with Ben, get a local guide, worth every cent. I did Bangalore last year, experienced a little chaos but manageable, even on your own. No issues with scamming, hassles or ripoffs in Bangalore but used public transport.
There are nice places in India you can see. Just like any country, both good and bad. It's a shame people only want to see in black and white.
You should just use the metro in Delhi; you can pretty much go anywhere in the city, very cheap and saves the hassle of rickshaw drivers trying to rip you off constantly…👍
I was in India for 6 months and Delhi was by far the worst place for scams that I visited during my time there… once you’re out of Delhi, the rest of India seems easy as it’s no way near as bad…
Absolutely, that’s what we did, no traffic jams or misunderstandings with rickshaws. Fixed price too
I can’t thank you enough for reinforcing in me the thought that India is NOT for me. You’re a legend mate👏🏻👍🏻✌🏻🤙🏻🍻
@@יונהאליראשון every Indian says the same thing about any Indian city. You lot are delusional
@@יונהאליראשון hello saar
My tip for anyone visiting India: treat Delhi as an extension of the airport - leave there as soon as you’ve landed (unless you’ve got money to spend on mega hotels and private guides)
Agreed, but I also experienced scamming in Varanasi, Culcutta & Mumbai, so it might be fairer to say try to avoid all cities?
@@cthulhurising4860 haha yeah but Delhi is next level. You just have to be smart about things and tell people to get lost
