Dear teacher. I thank you very much indeed for each lesson you had provided for all these years. I hope I struggle to make all your lessons make me3 a better student. 💫🤍💫
I was 24 years old when I learned that the indefinite article you used was dependent on whether the noun it preceded started with a vowel. I'm a native English speaker..
A faultless explanation of morphological concepts which are not often taught in school. Thank you for dispelling the doubts of the many curious English learners here on TH-cam.
Hello Gill, what a wonderful lesson this is. I was never too good in Grammar and so these lessons are so good for me as a revision session. Thank you so much!
Hello Gill for me , you're the best teacher of Engvid because I relax me when I heard your voice and I can understand everything❤ Greetings from🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
I am Japanese. Your explanation was very easy to understand. We Okinawa residents have become accustomed to American English. However, I feel that American English is often abbreviated. Personally, I like British English. I felt that it was very easy to listen to and understand. Thank you, teacher.
Here's brief explanations of the eight parts of speech in English: 1. **Noun:** A word that represents a person, place, thing, or idea. Example: dog, city, happiness. 2. **Pronoun:** A word that takes the place of a noun. Example: he, she, it, they. 3. **Verb:** A word that expresses action, occurrence, or a state of being. Example: run, think, is. 4. **Adjective:** A word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun. Example: red, happy, tall. 5. **Adverb:** A word that describes or modifies a verb, adjective, or another adverb. Example: quickly, very, well. 6. **Preposition:** A word that shows the relationship between a noun (or pronoun) and another word in the sentence. Example: in, on, under. 7. **Conjunction:** A word that connects words, phrases, or clauses. Example: and, but, or. 8. **Interjection:** A word or phrase used to express strong emotion. Example: Wow! Ouch! Hey! Understanding these parts of speech helps in constructing grammatically correct and meaningful sentences.
@@mahbubkhan8189 The articles/determiners are not often considered to be a part of speech, because people consider them as a subcategory of the adjectives.
Thank you very much, Gill, I am learning the English language and I like your videos because you speak slowly, it is good for a person that not an English native
Thank you, Gill, so very much for this well-taught lesson! Taught well, learned well, isn't it? 🙂 I adore the way you pronounce every sound! It seems like younger people have been striving to squeeze volumes of information into every single second of the speaking process, thus firing words sooooo rapidly that it's hardly ever possible to make out the very sense of whatever is being spoken of! 🤷♂️ And I mean all nations, not English-speaking community only 🙂. You keep traditions of good old manners in spoken language. It soothes my mind and improves my English! 👍
I love this, grammar was not taught during my schools days, so your tutorials are so very helpful. Grateful for the work you do, and sharing your love for language and teaching ❤️
Very useful video, thanks Gill!😊🌹 Always a good day when I get a notification from you!👍🌤 I got to brush up on my Swedish grammar as well. It's basically the same though the names are sometimes slightly different In Swedish it's Verb Adjektiv Adverb Konjunktion Bestämd (definite) Artikel Obestämd (indefinte) Artikel Pronomen Preposition I'm 50 years old and I've never thought about that the word verb is part of the word adverb!🤦♀️😂 p.s would you do a video on sentence structure in English please.🙏
