@Nicholas Sakamoto Alan Blakley was a underated musician, Alan was a great Guitarist as well, He had his own unique way of strumming the six string like Paul McCartney, when watching them play, I ask myself "How are they keeping the rythem with that strum, doesn't make sense with the beat of the song"...Maybe iam missing something...lol
I have reason to believe that Alan Blakley and Rick Westwood are using thumbpicks. Rick is playing a black Fender Telecaster, which I only noticed because of the design of the guitar body and neck, plus the headstock, and Alan is playing a Fender Stratocaster with a sunburst finish, which I believe he changed the bridge and middle pickups, but kept the original neck pickup.
Pilar Martinez, I noticed Chip has a great selection of instruments because I’ve seen the 1970 performance of Silence is Golden, which he is playing a Fender Slab Bodied Precision Bass, and in 1971, which he played a Harmony H22 bass. I noticed that his guitar strap is a Fender monogrammed strap in this video.
@@mauricetaylor6802 When was Alan Howard in the Trems?,i know he played Bass for the tyrems so was he before Chip Hawkes or afterwards?,i was a young 16 yrs old in 66 going to work out of town for the first timer and we stopped at a motorway sevices and i recognised the trems going for a cuppa and a few days later we were in a pub in Essex,not sure if Barking or Ilford(we were working at Magnavox Electronics) and in came the Trems and a lot of people were chatting to them and i said to my older work mates They are the Tremeloes pop Group,nah they said,what would they be doing in a little pub like this?,they are from Essex i said,and we are in Essex.
Ricks voice was this song. Why is he barely singing? I must have gone through over 100 vids and shortly after the 60s he is not singing and does not even have a mic in front of him. Hope someone knows why he stopped singing.
On another utube video, Rick's nephew said he came to a point that he felt he wasn't able to hit the high notes (which he was so good at) anymore, so he gradually ended his vocals. Very sad, I loved his voice! Peter Pan was no longer a boy!! (This seems to be a lip-synch anyway?)

I knew the original 4 back in the 80s.... Rick had a car accident.... he stopped singing after that !
