You should really keep making videos! Finally someone did a vid with the same saw I have! Yeah, now I feel much more confident to make my own zero clearance plate. Thank you!

Just an idea to help cut your slot for the blade to through...
    Cut material almost to size.
Stick it to insert with double sided table, replace insert with material attached and raise blade to cut slot.
Route edges with guided profile bit, seperate material from factory insert, cut underside notches and now it will fit clearing the blade allowing a full height cut to be raised through it.
As for the slit for the RK just use a jigsaw with a straight edge as it doesn't need to be zero clearance.

    An instructive film.
You could still show what a cut with a factory insert looks like and how with the one with zero clearance made by you in the video.

Thank you for posting. There is a seller on Etsy making zero clearance inserts for this saw. In Germany so $25 shipping on top of $33 for the insert. Much less expensive to make one.

Learnt a lot thanks, I have the C10RJ not C10RJ(S) only difference I noticed, is mine does not have that lock for the plate, my plate locks in with a little lever on the plate itself.

The only way I saw was to use a Dremel to cut the bottom of the riving knife.

Are you happy with the saw? I find lots of reviews of the older model, but nog about this one and i'm seriously in doubt between this one and the dewalt 4792 (similar but a lot more expensive).
    Best regards

When you switched the circular saw blade with the table saw blade, did you have the blade in reverse order?, I noticed the blade brand facing the wrong side and saw dust came out on your side of the table saw.
