It makes me so happy as a totally blind fan, who grew up on him that Larry Munson‘s voice is still heard every single Saturday in Sanford Stadium. I had the absolute honor and privilege yesterday of meeting with Scott Howard, and having the opportunity to thank him for taking that mantle and making it possible for me, to be able to still love this team with a passion. Also, having directed a high school, marching band for years with the former principal trumpet soloist for the red coats, I have to say that whoever did the solo, was absolute fire and actually way better than the dude I used to work with who thought he was really good. 😂
This is great - we went to almost every home game from 1999 thru 2012. Always looked forward to the Battle Hymn of the Republic and Larry Munson’s voice. So happy for every Georgia Bulldog - Go Dawgs!!!!!!!!
@@faiththomas1749 she was probably just super nervous since it was a mic’d solo in front of thousands of people and everyone knows what it’s supposed to sound like
The lone trumpeter always gets me. But this one? This one REALLY got me.

Goosebumps...every time! Go Dawgs!!!
I love that they found a way to include Larry Munson in the celebration. Go Dawgs!
Yes
If that doesn’t fill you with pride and bring a tear to your eye you ain’t a DGD!
What a great band UGA is blessed with.
Love this! So happy for the entire Bulldog Nation. One of the best parts of a game at Stanford Stadium - trumpet and Larry Munson’s video!
Chills & tears of pride
I bawled like baby when she played this!!! Gets me every single time!
So cool they went all out to celebrate!!
Gives me goosebumps every time! Go Dawgs!
What’s awesome is when they’re done and they’re pumped by their performance ! :).
Chills and Tears. Go Dawgs!!!
Need to add Ringo's pick 6 and the TCU highlights to the Munson video!
Would be awesome!
So Beautiful Glory Glory To Georgia Go Dawgs

Congrats Dawgs!!
National Champions!!!!
Who was the lead trumpet is she ok , just checking in from California a baby bulldog by blood ( my grandmother was born in the ATL)
not sure what you mean? She only plays that one part for the intro, then the band takes over. This is tradition.
@jay dee thanks for letting me know , I saw the tradition and thought due to the moment she was ( understandably so ) gonna cry tears of joy

U know the band was like wtf 😂
Respect to UGA. However, why couldn't they just write their own fight song instead of just speeding up the hym of the republic?

GO, DAWGS!!

Never understood why a Southern school uses Battle Hymn of the Republic as a fight song. Baffling.
