2011 was the last time McLaren was in contention for a Championship.

The playoffs suck because the storylines of a NASCAR season are told through the point standings… once you reset the points you destroy those storylines, and replace it with a contrived version of events that lacks real depth & meaning.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ just for Parker having a neon sign with his name on it in his closet.

Xfinity series is much different financially than it was in the mid 2000s when twenty cup guys would run double duty each week and major sponsors like Citifinancial and Arby's and holiday inn would sponsor cars for buschwackers to fly into milwaukee on a saturday night and pull almirola out of the car because we're running for two drivers championships in a single season. Has this dropped the driver valuation (running 60 races a year combined cup and Xfinity vs. running only the 36 cup races) and the value of the series? And is it good to drop the value of the series in order to make it a development series instead of Cup-lite and allow for newer drivers to compete for a championship amongst themselves instead of cup guys? We really only got brad k and logano as rookies coming up between the 2006 rookie class (denny, truex, bowyer) and the 2014 rookie class (larson, Austin dillon, bowman) . Nascar's boom also may have stunted its growth and then we had no stars to replace the retiring jeff gordon/stewart/dale jr.

May be Piastri's contract says no team orders until mathematically out. ( Mark Webber being his manager )

I think mclaren played it right. They are still too far away from max to be worried about DC. The teams only get paid off constructor championship. And Oscar is closer to lando than lando is to max. So. As much as I want Oscar to go be a road block for lando I think McLaren is trying to solely focus on the team and not one driver or the other. I don’t see them catching max. I see only 2 more stumbling blocks for RBR and I bet that max wins at least 4 more. Hope I’m wrong
