(Recreation) 2022 BFI London Film Festival Opening Pre-Roll

Once again, don't hold your breath on this being a sign that I'm Back with a capital B as a good chunk of this year was kinda a giant burnout period and now I'm more able to play catch-up (I'm sure a lot of folk feel that way) but yeah, so we actually had our very first Film Festival experience earlier this month with the 2022 BFI London Film Festival. It was an incredible time and I'll certainly remember it forever. Anyhoo, I figured after it was done I'd flex those editing skills and do my best to do a from-memory recreation of the stuff they used for the Opening Pre-Roll in front of the presentations that the festival had. I don't know about all the venues that were taking part, but the ones I was at didn't have any other adverts. The American Express ad was taken from the digital version of the pre-roll for BFIPlayer presentations of Festival-related content (though the same ad was used in-venue) and the subtitle timings were also to the best of my abillity matching what they did for these, along with the way the shadow was faded behind the text and such.
FOR DISCLOSURE (and because it's also the truth), the only piece of direct footage from those digital BFIPlayer thingys used here was the American Express ad and I didn't record a single second's worth of anything from the presentations beyond the BFI's own advertising. And I do not condone anyone to record any exclusive full film presentational material for piracy uses. Support your cinemas! And while you're at it, again, go support the BFI. They're rad.

Have you got the first release of the 1992 UK cinema reel for The Muppet's Christmas Carol for the film's 30th Anniversary and can you do it?

I hadn't had the time, but *who knows*! Never say never, I love that movie dearly and it's a Christmas tradition every year so I'd not be against that. Just sorry I wasn't able to get it done for that anniversary. :O
