    The very first thing I would do to that truck if I owned it is put the bench seat back in immediately. Most men would know why.

    Very Cool Truck -- here is what I have a 1987 Chevy Siverado K10 with the FI 350 - with every factory option including dual gas tanks - Bought it brand new - have all the original paper work & get this it has 490 original miles -- I did some aft mkt things 6 in lift with 35`s on the original rally wheels & dual exhaust -- not a scratch like on the showroom floor - original everything

      A 1987 Silverado 4WD would be a "V" Series, not a "K" Series. The last "K" Series square body is 1986, and from 1987-1991, the square body was the "R" Series (2WD) and "V" Series (4WD). Your SPID label will show a "V" Series code for the model series. Square bodies were C and K Series from 1973 to 1986 and R and V Series from 1987 to 1991. The "OBS" (Old Body Style) trucks were released in spring of 1987 as 1988 models. GM did that to avoid confusion with the square body models.

    No, the square body C and K Series ran from 1973 to 1986, not 1987. From 1987 to 1991, the square body was either the "R" Series (2WD) or "V" Series (4WD). From the HOC website, with the VIN, we win: C for Chevrolet, K for 4WD conventional cab, L for 350 V8 with four barrel, approximately 165 HP, 1 for 1/2 ton rated, 4 for cab and pick up box, 6 for 1976 model year, 1 for Oshawa, Ontario Canada assembly and the rest is the production sequence. The Oshawa plant still operates today, closing for a short time in 2019 and reopening in 2021.

      That web site is wrong. I bought brand new in Sept of 87 a k2500

      @@scottpreble3330 Then you bought a 1988 model. There were no 1987 C or K model trucks. They were R and V Series in 1987. The C and K Series trucks came back in the GM line up in the spring of 1987 (as 1988, not 1987 models).

      It was a 1987. The last 87 on the lot.

    • @googleusergp
      @googleusergp ปีที่แล้ว

      @@scottpreble3330 Then it wasn't a "K" Series truck if it was a 1987 because there were no such trucks. The GM literature including parts books confirm that. 1973 to 1986 and then 1988 onward. No 1987 C and K Series truck, they were R and V Series trucks. Post your VIN #, leaving out the last six digits of it.

    With all the junk hanging from the bottom (oil pan, cables, hoses, etc…) I think a brick is actually *more* aerodynamic.
