I loved 268 so much when I was still playing wot! My first ever tier 10 tank destroyer, it slapped so hard with 850 alpha (same RoF as now) and 450 heat (Even tho back then I couldn't afford gold ammo)! It's such a hidden and misunderstood gem.
Its just obsolite in modern WOT and for good reason.

It's my fav t10 td! Even played it in ranked. The amazing dpm for 750 alpha, 395heat pen, decent camo and trollish armor are extremely useful at stopping enemy ramming train.
I have a lot of experience with this tank and in this video, you can see exactly what to expect. If Skill is having poor games, imagine what you'd get. The tank hits for 750 but it's hard to get many penetrations in a game.
I love this tank. It's armor used to be trolly, but now many tier 8s pen it with standard ammo. Still love the boom stick though :)

Obj 268 has mobility, accuracy (mine has 0.26 dispersion at 100meters), insane heat shell. For me it's one of the best TD currently in the game. Don't hesitate to go in front with this tank ! :). By the way, it's always funny to right click left click obj 279 and bobjects :D
i love this tank, i truly enjoy it a lot, but i can understand why it has that win rate and it is because people think this is the same as the bobject and they rush like crazy with it
Wanted to just say that. Many comments here suggest to be aggressive but reality is that in Frontline everyone is loading gold, and somehow I have the feeling this tank is a priority target, because its easier to penn that all those hull down heavies and mediums... Very out of meta tank. But weird it's lower than grille... I guess they just camp behind and whit doing anything its instant 50% win rate
@@bassegoder the drama with the tank in the backline is the shellvelocity, a good player can adapt a slow shell velocity but in some cases you dont have that time or the oportunity for a slow shot, so you have to get in a sniper position but in a mid distance. so is dificult to master, just for really good players.
This tank truly is great, but is a bit out of meta, that's maybe why it's not as favourite among players as T110E3 for example
E3 is increasingly out of meta as well. Too many autoloaders that can run around you and empty clips in your ass. That and the equipment changes made the tool box less affective to keep your tracks intact.

See that abnormal number of battles? That probably means 268's line is grinded mostly by the new players, first-time players playing TDs, or casual players who stuck with 268 as a go-to TD. New players are mostly amused with the tier7 and 8 of the line, then decided to grind to 10 without prior knowledge of playing proficiently.

Honestly, got this Tank recently and im really suprised how good this Tank can shred if youre staying in the back
i think 268 become low winrate just because the role WarGaming give it , i remember correctly from ranked battle , 268 has role of assault tank destroyer like the brother v4 , but really this tank means to be sneaky TD with quite a bit armor to survive hits (same case like m48 patton once , patton once has role of assault Medium tank , really patton same role as 430u??), soo many people use this tank completely wrong , especially new player.
Tank is good, the meta is just making every single old tech tree tanks obsolete. Also the overall players poor skills playing such tanks.
I love this vehicule ! Especially with turbo (taking fastly good position and relocate permanently) ,vents, gun rammer and rammer directive to make it 750 alpha dpm beast.
In hand of good player this tank can be most efficient than 268 V4 ! Isn't it ?
Really disagreed...OBJ 268-4 is a lot faster for close combat too.
I love this tank. And I get like 62% in it (my only tier ten above 55%). HE is awesome. Reload is massive. Massive dpm. And no one prioritises u at a big loss.

@@NaabiXx it is quite accurate, massive alpha, great HE, and no one on the enemy shoots you first, they seem to be unafraid to peak on u. Which is a mistake. It's not too different to a grille tbh.. except you'll be often ignored unless you're the only one spotted.
A grille but you have goodish armour, you can bully/trade in cities and you can snipe in open maps.. but the main thing is when the chips are down the enemy shoots you last.. (so maybe you get 2 more shots in when as u die you shouldn't.)
I absolutely love it and feel this more accurate than grille and strv, the perfect sniper tier 10 td with great dpm, accuracy, trollish armour, enough camo, alpha and penetrration!! Its so easy to deal with a object 268 v4 with the obj 268!!
That 90 pen 1100 alpha HE is so much fun on the 268v5 🤤
I love this tank, its the perfect balance of passive and aggressive ability. I have a 55.5% WR in mine
@Idk__ I have around 150 battles in mine, and I play predominantly Tank Destroyers so I know how to handle pretty much all of them, the 268 is a very good mix of mobility, damage output and survivability.
More often than not I find myself doing most of the work on my team, doing the most damage and deleting the most enemy tanks. Not saying my DPGs are amazing but its just a really comfortable tank and I do quite well in it~
@Idk__ the issue with changing the skin or look of the vehicle would be a wrong, because this tank was indeed built, and there was a prototope.
This tank is a beast. I have disperssion 0.30 and you can even boost it to 0.29..and thats a 150+mm calibre :))
268 was my first tier 10 and I still enjoy playing it
That gun will troll you. Hits, curves and ghost rounds. But when it hits, it hits hard.
I'm not as good a player as Skil, so I opted to grind the Obj268 v4. The 4 version's 260mm hull armor compared to the Obj268's 187mm thickness is a lot more forgiving for my mistakes. Of course I give up about 100 hp per shot, but it's a good trade off if I can stay alive longer.

The tank is not bad. But td's are generally useless nowadays and depend too much on the maps. Also this tank is played a lot by the bad/new players, mostly because they decide to grind this for their first td line because of the su 100 and isu with the big boy guns. But in the good player hands it works, just like every other tank.
I have a lot of battles with the grille 15, but a looooooot of, crew with 6 skills, and after I test the 268 ooh boy, this tank is 300% more accurate than the grille, more armor, a bit less mobility, but the gun, oh the gun i just love it. For my the grille 15 is dead now.
Grille could be better if it gun able to rotate 360 like tier 8-9
@@VHoang803 Nah, the rotation its ok, the problem is the accuracy. The WT Tier 9 is so much accurated than the grille, is insane.

This td, with 90mm HE penetration and up to 1100 dmg, cand send to the garage early a lot of meds and lights

You are going to end up enjoying 704 a lot more as its the better tank tier for tier. Either start a new 268 crew with training books etc or be prepared to move the crew back when you reach this conclusion :P

Hi Skill. On your skill4ltu page i would think that Fv215b 183 should have 3/5 on accuracy since FV4005 has 2/5 on accuracy and fv4005 should have 2/5 flexibility since the gundepression. The deathstar has better gunhandling since it didnt get nerfed along the 4005 2 years ago. :D Deathstar has 0.3 dispertion compared to fv4005 0,32 with full equipment. This is worth a notice. I have only ever sold 3 tier 10 tanks. Obj268, E4 and T57. Probably ought to buy them all back but tier 9 is the sweet spot these days. Maybe even tier 8.
The 268 has been heavily power creeped over the years and is way overdue for a buff. I would rather be in the T9 704 in a T10 game as it has a more accurate gun and better shell velocity, certainly tier for tier the 704 is just so much better imho.
Grille gun is a piece of kaku against the obj 268. Also the armor can bounce a shot or two.
SU/ISU/Object line was the reason I ruined my stats back in the day. When u had no idea how to play the game, and thought high damage guns meant a better tank... Zero gun depression, bad mobility, zero armor, Russian accuracy is indeed a recipe for failure. No wonder this line has the lowest winrate.
My winrate with this tank is 52% over 701 games and it is the first tier X tank i 3 marked. Great tank 👌
my first T10, and still my favourite T10. need to highlight how much the field mods boost this boi, a 2nd Setup for Citymaps (Rammer Turning Mechanism and Turbo) makes it so much more useful when you get Himmelsdorf.
Oh and with 395 arguments you can penetrate hulldown Krans with ease

Easily got up to almost 100% MoE while 268 was in the battle pass, still love and enjoy this tank
best part of obj 268 is that its heat will go through kranvagns turret :)

I really like these type of TDs but its just sad when matches are this quick and you are trying to reach a position before your teammates with fast tanks farm the remaining lads.
I honestly don't understand how people don't know how to play with this td. I have like 58% wr and the td works just fine. It has insane dpm, it's accurate, awesome HEAT and decent mobility. The HE rounds works really well with light armored tanks.
Penetration should be dropping at long distances for example
300 mm pen from 100 m
200 mm pen from 300 m
It would make game much more fun
Less camping more rushing
More HEAT using:)

The shell would have hit the dirt behind if that was a Grille15 shot, but since it's an Object, the RNG help the shell go to the right place by compensating :)

This tank is insane. I have more than 1000 battles with it, 3 marks and I am the best player with it on EU server (according to wargaming...). I trully dont understand why it has so poor winratio. I aslo had my top dmg game in it! (9930)

Well I grinded this tank after Skills last video about the 268 and I really want to like it, but oh my bananas - this gun behaves like fat diva and misses so many shots - despite its great accuracy on paper of 0.26
No point in playing this shitty game with 15-0 win and loses. Skill has no choice so poor guy has to endure

My mistake is playing this tank like the version 4 . . . it is not.
The second battle was completely enemies fault. No one pushed hill and they left the middle open, so gg. Not a MM factor really.
