I am the mentor for a FLL team. This is our second year competing. Last year we used the Mindstorms EV3 software to develop our code with many files and blocks. This year, we are hoping to use EV3 Classroom, in fact, I think we are forced to use it because I have upgraded my mac to Catalina. I am struggling to understand how to break up the code into different files. As far as I can tell, we are stuck with one giant file that will contain all our code and blocks. We will have hundreds, possibly thousands of lines of code. Is this the case?

Yes, I think this is the case for EV3 Classroom, to sort the codes/lines, you want to add new projects, it may be confusing.

We made the block but can't seem to get it so we can use it in various other programs. Can it be imported into other programs or saved and available for other programs?

Hi there, to import this block to another project, you would have to remake the my block, and you can use it as much as you want, we will show a tutorial on these EV3 Classroom programs, blocks, how to comment, how to copy and paste blocks in another video. Thanks for asking, if you did not find the information you wanted, try asking a bit more specifically.

This code is really old and robots may be configured differently, I recommend you try and understand the code, and implement it and debug it for your own robot
