Rose-ringed ( Indian Ringnck ) Parakeets - 1 @ Indira Park - Hyderabad

There seem to be quite a few people here who feed the birds with bread and uncooked rice every morning - that seems to be the lifeline for most birds/ animals here - everyone loves bread - parakeets, crows, mynahs, squirrels - even the Indian Grey Hornbill and White-breasted Waterhen!
At this place, the parakeets are bold enough to come to the ground - there are few predators - the only human disturbance usually comes in the form of a child who wants to run after them or someone inadvertently walking too close - once the humans move away to a safe distance, the parakeets are back at their dining table on the ground... From the way they boss around the others and themselves, each parakeet does seem to think it owns the park....
