I'm a retired RN. Trump's nodding off, falling asleep, and losing control of his bowels and bladder are indicators of dementia. Many of the people I've had in my care who were diagnosed with various forms of dementia exhibited those behaviors. He needs "memory care" services when they lock him up.

You're not wrong, he is in cognitive decline, however, this is a symptom more psychological than physiological. Sleeping is an avoidance coping mechanism. He's in denial and clearly cannot handle the fact that the consequences for his criminal behavior are looming. This is only the beginning. He probably won't serve any jail time for this particular conviction, but the subsequent trials are far more likely to result in his long-term incarceration.
Lorazepam can do it too. I use it for severe anxiety and must be very careful with my dosage. Gave up my driver’s license, sold my car. It’s a careful balancing act, must have a good observant doctor.

I think the jury takes their job seriously and will emulate the prosecution and Judge Merchan who made sure every i was dotted and every t crossed.
