Where does it say that the enhancement gives Doctrina buffs, on top of the Halo buffs? That'd be *huge* if true. Edit: nevermind, I just couldn't see it. It's right there, wow
Does that mean they will rework the Cohort Cybernetica? There is no way anyone will use it when they are planing to use the robots. Not if you can have advance and charge double fis**ng goodness
I already tested this in a game today. If you played Mars in 9th, this is a similar experience but with more impactful decisions. I had one of each techpriest, 2x marshals, datasmith, 2x vanguards and 2x rangers, 2x rust stalkers, unit of kataphron destroyers with grav cannons, 1x pteraxii, duneriders, 4x robots and 3xchickens, 2x Onagers. I can tell you, even move +2" is strong in the first turn. Robots were just superb with the enchanced datasmith, I had two fists and phosphor blaster on them. They were just terrifying in melee, and even their shooting was quite horrifying for enemy infantry (Mixed list nids). Putting Halo on two adjacent heavy units with robots nearby lets you shift the balance in one section of battlefield, or you can boost strong units (like lascannon chickens) with strats and do a bunch of damage. One turn I boosted robots, chickens and ruststalkers +1 T and lost only one robot and two ruststalkers to a bunch of shots and charges and then proceeded to punish the opponent with strats *heavily*. I loved 9th, I love this detachment, the game was a blast (we tied), I finally got to use my one unit of 4x robots and get some use out of it. Good job on this one GW!
1) Engineseer touch twin fist Kastellan, 1 Kastelan model get fnp 2) Kastelan get first halo override abiliry (+2 to move) 3) Kastelan get stratagem for second override ability (charge after advance) 4) Kastelan save wound for fnp ... PROFIT.
Praise the Omnisaih! It’s both strong and flavorful AND there’s no bad units to bring with this detachment. Sure their are less optimal units but nothing is out right bad in this detachment. I’m absolutely running 2x6 breacher bricks one with a Dominus with the smash enhancement one with a manipulus to get sustained 5s, I’m absolutely bringing a Datasmith with the halo enhancement simply because I enjoy the big goofy murder robots who can now advance and charge with the halo and get +1 toughness off the priest, then ad some little buddy skitarii here and there for the rules buffs. And that’s just one list I can play with. You could legitimately build several styles of list out of this one detachment. You could spam skitarii and chicken walkers, you could go all kataphrons all the time, you can do robot spam ect ect
I like the idea of give a full brick of breachers T8 with a 5+ FNP with a Dominus that gives them both Doctrinas. Throw em in the middle of the board and make your opps roll dice lol. Give em Neural Overload strat for adv n charge. then fall back shoot n charge next turn and do it all over again... if anything survives the first bout lol
Everything in this detachment is amazing my concern now is how many people are going to cry about it causing overinflation of our units points fingers crossed gw dont listen to the whingers as they have done previously
Ordinance enhancement on Destroyers, easily. The 42" plasma with Hazard rerolls is great, but I think folks forget about the flamers getting an additional 6" as well. Add in a Manipulus with flamer getting the extra range too while giving the squad lethal hits? Very nice.
@mazzeh2240 it'll work with the Plasma. The lethal hits and hazard rerolls is for the benefit of the plasma. The range boost mostly helps the flamers more because adding 6" to a 12" weapon is a 50% bonus, a benefit the manipulus will also enjoy on his weapon. The extra range for the plasma is nice, only a 16% increase, but the selling point is rerolling hazard and lethal hits (with manipulus).
This is amazing. The detachment rule does not specify Adeptus Mechanicus... meaning it applies to allies as well. How about a Canix Rex that can Advance and Charge thanks to the Predation Protocol ? Sounds fun.
As far as I read it our wafers.. love it means that the bearers unit can’t be selected as part of the detachment rule. Think the guys missed this. I believe that through the ‘neural overload’ Strat the bots with the wafers 😂. Can have access to the halo override. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong
You have it backwards. They gain the halo override keyword meaning they always have the bonus from the detachment rule. The “can’t be targeted” language is to stop you from targeting a unit that already has the keyword on accident.
Why not halo the unit in the transport give advance and charge then use the strat on the transport for +2 move Advance with the transport, get out, charge
@CynicalOptimist99 it's about options on how to play and look at your armies vs win rate. Both admech and crustodes have multiple options and oldy goldies just won the WCW.
I wasn’t looking at WR as it’s not the sole factor in what makes a healthy faction. The problem with Custodes and Ad Mech was a real lack of internal build diversity. For Custodes the datasheets limit that, but none of the detachments encourage the use of anything else. Folger’s WCW list was basically the same one we have seen for a year, but with Talons instead of Shield Host. Ad Mech have a similar issue where we only saw SHC
@CynicalOptimist99 is simple as simple is simple. They have options, both votan and gk have the same low unit available like custodes but no detachment choice. Admech and goldies have choices half the armies in the game don't.
If i understand it correctly, the Kastelan Enhancement gives them the Doctrina Imperatives as well. That was previously a detachment on its own.
That’s the biggest plus of that enhancement in my opinion an entire detachment for 30 points
Yep, they missed half the rule and arguably the most important half
Yeah, 100%

“Oh I roll two mortal wounds for run and char...oh nvm I save one of them” 😂😂😂
I believe the data Smith now loses the infantry keyword . The robots would be ineligible to be targeted by analytic divination
I have always wanted a CP farming leader; after this detachments, I really want one. This is the most wonderful detachment ever for Admech.
I am so happy, this detachment is bringing a codex worth of build variety that are reaching far beyond iur usual skittle spam
Glad to see Admech players getting some well deserved (and well overdue) love!
Praise the Omnisaih!

The main thing about Transoracular Dyad Wafers is that it gives robots Doctrina Imperatives, the Halo Override is the smaller buff here.
My thoughts ? Its disgustingly strong god damn xd
its need tbh, its a super strong buff to a rather weak army atm
@BadgerGirl yeah, but this is way to excessive tbh...their winrate isnt that bad this is gonna skyrocket it 😅
@@disturbedboi8038 Winrate isn't that bad because only few people, that are very good players, play them xd

It doesn’t matter because you can make several string lists out of this detachment
Ordinance enhancement on Destroyers, easily. The 42" plasma with Hazard rerolls is great, but I think folks forget about the flamers getting an additional 6" as well. Add in a Manipulus with flamer getting the extra range too while giving the squad lethal hits? Very nice.

My bad. I forgot that they get the flamers alongside the plasma guns because I only have breachers. Overwatch for the Omnisiah 🫡

Tabletop titans just accidentally dropped necrons detachment 😂

@nicholasd7107 honestly don't know, I wasn't listening, was painting 😞

@nicholasd7107 I do remember someone saying they were transcribing it, so it's out there somewhere.

Why not halo the unit in the transport give advance and charge then use the strat on the transport for +2 move

Points nerf inc.
It's not keyword locked so you can give to my grey knight termys haha
Why the shit don't they hook up all the armies with out a codex first.
In fairness, some codex armies need it more... Ad Mech was one, Custodes is another

The robots cannot have the detachment rule unless they pay D3 MW with the strat
They can have the detachment rule without MW or strategem via the Datasmith Enhancement. Gives them permanent halo keyword for free.
