Some people just don't like that style off-rip. I get it, it's grating as fuck, but I also listen to death metal, country, edm, everything so it doesn't bother me.
I do feel like giving a genuine opinion on the lyricism of the 2019 Cypher should be accounted for Some people will literally turn off a verse at the singing, thing is that singing can be good if you know what he's saying. I'd say by now I have a pretty good way at looking at it, but that'd be for another comment section ofc To keep it simple, some people are clearly not punching as hard as they could have. Shofu, VI, CTC, Scoot, and Archer are the ones that I think could have hit harder. This isn't to say any of the verses are bad, as I find them all enjoyable. What I'm saying is that there wasn't something said that made it really, and I mean *really* crazy. Although the King Nappy sequence was insane, it wasn't feeling as consistent throughout the whole verse. I already know a bit of the backstory there though, and I'm already confident they'll go much crazier this year anyways, not a big deal. All in all, it's more that I see more potential in those 5 than what was shown at the time. Like at that time, it could have still been better given their skillset. I still don't think there was any bad verse in any capacity, and I'm not really gonna say any verse is the worst. Some are among the best. That's all.
"Look at yo badges."

Only thing crazier than Cypher 2023 is if Trap Ketchum 2 actually drops
