Why are we studying Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount in January and February? The American evangelical church has created a 'salvation culture' but not a 'gospel culture.' Evangelicals have reduced the gospel to the message of personal salvation, when what is needed is a rediscovery of the message Jesus taught-the Gospel of the Kingdom. Here at Slash Church where we emphasize sharing, service to others and love of neighbor we are transforming one another from the inside out, turning away for a me first world to the world that was envisioned by God-The Kingdom of God.
