Really cool! I love "how-to's" (blanket term I use that also includes videos like this where I get to watch and see hwo things work and install/etc). Happy Friday, brother 😊
Excellent job on this video. I am curious as to whether or not there is any protection below for scraping pegs? I have a tendency to scrape my pegs with cornering on the stock foot rests.
Great video and channel! Do the switchblades protrude out further than the OEM pegs? Do you have any issues with them scraping on cornering when the bike leans over?
No issues, about the same distance as the stock pegs. Lean far enough and they will scrape. I have never owned a bike where the pegs did not scrape, but then again I love the twisty curves.
Spleened adaptors? lol. Splined as in lined! (not leen). Nitpicking aside how to extend and retract in use? or do you need to extend the heel rest before you set off?
I wish they would make a design like but for extending your legs on the highway. I know they have the mini floorboard ones that but I don’t like the looks of the .
@@clayleihy3884 The shims come with the spline adapter in case you need a tighter fit. You have to purchase the spline adapter separately to mount the switch blade foot rest, otherwise it will not fit on the Scout. I think you are confusing the two.
@@okie__moto7474 he clearly says you need the tapered adapters and even has a picture. So I'm guessing he originally mistakenly got the wrong adapters, later got the right ones, and didn't catch it in editing. Makes sense.
@@clayleihy3884 Wrong, the tapered adapter and splined adapter are one and the same. All the parts are on the table at the beginning of the vid. The shims and the snap rings come with the adapters to place the foot pegs on the bike. The box really should say splined tapered adapters but the just say tapered on the box.
the exact video i was looking for. thank you
Great detailed video ,, just dealt with those spring thingys and your video helped ,thank u !
Great vid thank you. How do they feel post 2 year install?
Killer video man....👍👍👍👍

Thanks for the detailed installation. It was exactly what I was looking for. Thinking of slapping these on my Scout. How do they ride?

What do i do if i dont have those plyers?
Where do the tapered adapters come in? It looks like you used the spline adapters on the install.
Tapered shim. 4:04
@@okie__moto7474 bought the whole tapered mounting kit just for the shim? That would be crazy!
