Okay let me explain something real quick. I have a lot of comped and ported guns and from my experience just like shooting suppressors you have to zero the red dot to the gun with the ported/comped configuration. The gun will deviate when switching with the same zero.
100% and it seems the comp’d barrel had a tighter group so once he zeros the optic to the comp’d barrel he will be shooting even better than he does with the stock barrel
@@takonosafetyhey bro, yes!!! Get a laser bore site to zero your red dot. That laser will point to wherever you are shooting EVERYTIME. If the comp ain’t too long when you carry, I’d put it on and zero it. You Gucci then. Good video bro!
I have a good amount of experience with comps and they do not change zero. What happens is the gun feels different because the muzzle rise is less so the shooter reacts differently. You have to learn how to change your grip a little bit for the comp.
I love the C2. What a lot of people fail to realize is that the comps aren't just designed to make the gun shoot "flat." Its main goal is to help you find and track your sights/red dot under recoil faster a good test is a bill drill. Try running a bill drill comped and without it. Also, you'll need a shot timer. That's the only way to truly tell if the comp is helping you out at all under speed.
Big difference between changing out an aftermarket Glock barrel and a 1911/2011 hand fit barrel. If that comped aftermarket barrel isn’t exactly “fit” to the slide and frame of your Staccato you can run into timing problems and cause damage to your frame and barrel lugs, improper lockup. You don’t need that comped barrel. No noticeable muzzle rise with OEM barrel.
HI, thanks for putting this out. I am thinking of doing the same thing. Looked at Staccato's bbl fitting service w the comp from Dave Dawson for around $1000 out the door with shipping and all. Curious, did you attempt to fit the locking lugs or change the barrel link? Or re-zero the optic? It is shooting a tight group as you showed, and you have a good form and grip. The gun didn't move on video. Maybe it's just changing the bbl's is the problem? cheers mate
I have a bunch of ported and compensated pistols and this one by far is the flattest and smoothest. This video was filmed with me dropping the comp in and not re zeroing so it was shooting a little left, tight, but left. I changed zero to the comp and I haven’t had any issues. It has held zero and now I only carry and shoot it with the comp. I def recommend
I’ve heard that aswell but when I surprisingly didn’t have to re zero when I took my Dawson Precision Ice comp off the P. Maybe because it’s just a single port comp and I usually run 115gr? 🤷🏻♂️
Yo noticed your footage is a bit over exposed, not sure what your filming on but you can combat this issue by lowering exposure before you start filming or buy a cheap ND filter.
@@takonosafety change the aperture to double of the frame rate your recording on. For example, if your shooting on 30 fps then put the aperture on 1/60 then use ND filter to compensate because outside it will be too bright, but at those settings your going to be getting alot better quality and range. leave the iso low like 100-200 (outside shots)
I have this same barrel on my C2. If you noticed it has different lock up due to the lugs probably need to be adjusted. I have a local guy that did his wizardry and got it to lock up perfect. Also you will have to rezero with the DSC barrel. DSC offers some amazing services to upgrade. Also recommend Skips Guns for services.
Nice shooting, bro. I prefer fitted barrels myself, but if you are going to go drop in, DSC is the way. Your point of impact will almost always be different when you swap barrels. You’ll have to re-zero or change your point of aim to compensate for the shift in impact.
Idk why people wouldn’t comp there guns, even if they wanted a smaller package they could comp the slide and barrel. Monsoon tactical and Vulcan machine works have dope integrated comps
You do the same thing i do with my c2. Resting your thumb on the slide lock. That’s why it doesn’t lock back on last round. It’s hard not to though because it’s just out there. That’s slide lock is nice. And yeah that barrel needs to be fitted bruh.
I wouldn't use any aftermarket parts in a 2011 especially staccato unless they endorsed it. Not to mention if you luck up your tolerance you also luck up your warranty!

Yep that’s what I’ve heard, I didn’t know that! Thanks bro 💯💯
@@takonosafety the great news is, you got more content you can create. Keep it great work, Sir!💪🏾

Where did you buy the barrel
DSC comps on google
Wide open spaces but why no solid back stop behind the targets? 🤔

any reason your gun don’t lock back or is that how you like it some people don’t like to lock back after last shot
Nah, I just ride the slide lock with a high grip. It’ll lock back if I didn’t have my hand on it.
God bless America with our 13 stripes and 50 stars.
Does that gun have a safety lever?
They should’ve sent you another spring with the comp’d barrel along with zeroing 5:53
Yeah I didn’t know i needed to rezero after dropping in new barrel, but it makes a lot of sense. Appreciate you bro !!

Is something wrong with your gun? its not locking back
Brother with out a magwell and those extended mags you could run into problems from the mags hitting your extractor. Good video keep them coming.

Thanks bro. should i lower the apeture or awb ?

Nd filters are rather cheap, but as far as iso you can look up your cameras native iso or base iso and keep it on that iso for the best quality
Thanks bro, I ordered a nd filter and will follow your setting advice 💯🦾🦾

I think you should leave it stock fire 🔥 video like always question how come it doesn’t lock back on the last round ? Is it suppose to do that ? 🤔
Appreciate it bro. Nah it’s suppose to lock back, I just have a high grip and it keep the slide from locking from time to time
@@takonosafety copy that 🫡 I thought I was buggin lol I was like I gotta ask him lol love the channel bro keep going 🫡💯
Stay stock..
😂
If you drop in a new barrel you have to sight in the red dot all barrels are different bub. Good shooting though.
🤦🏽♂️
Why fix what ain't broke big dawg
